This was our first ever experience with a bed and breakfast, the bar is now set very high! We received a text from Sara early on arrival day with check-in information and what our approximate arrival time was. Shortly before we pulled into the parking lot, we had our room key code and room information. Sara was there to meet us and show us around. We stayed in the Linzee room, it was wonderful! Linzee has a separate entrance from the outside as well as a “secret “ one through the house (in case of rain). The room itself was large and has plenty of closet/dresser space, plenty of outlets to charge your devices, a firm mattress and spotless bathroom. The location can’t be beat, a short stroll to the harbor and amazing views. We arrived during happy hour and after getting settled, enjoyed a margarita on the porch. The morning breakfast was perfect, delicious refrigerator oats - recipe shared too! The scones and muffins, blueberry of course, were just as delicious. We can’t say enough about our incredible stay at Yellow House and that includes the other visitors as well! You can’t go wrong with making this choice, enjoy.…
My daughter and I just went on a mother daughter weekend- we chose the perfect place! Sara was amazing- the light music playing, the wonderful Happy Hours, the snacks in the kitchen, the backpacks to borrow, yoga mats! The location is great! We walked everywhere. We loved sitting on the porch each day. I cannot wait to go back with my husband! Perfect vacation. Love Yellow House B&B!
The Yellow House is a welcoming, well appointed inn. Sara, the owner, is friendly, helpful and has snacks, drinks, available to guests 24/7. It was centrally located to town and the setting was quiet and peaceful.
We stayed in Louisburg room. Very large and comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed. Enjoyed the not too large, but quality food breakfast and availability of good snacks and “cocktail” hour. Would definitely recommend to anyone although I think there is only one room that doesn’t involve climbing steps if that is an issue
This is a wonderful old home that is meticulously maintained. Everyone that walks past this home on the way to fun in BH look and says something about how nice this classic B&B is. The location can't be beaten! You are three minutes walk to one of the main streets in the village and 5 minutes to the waterfront. We would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
