Detailed Reviews
Westin Resort Guam was by far the best weekend staycation my family and I had in a while. The hotel had COVID precautions implemented throughout, so we felt comfortable in a safe and clean environment. The room we stayed in was very pleasantly renovated and definitely had that WOW factor, especially compared to the current pictures posted online. The staff was remarkable! They were all very attentive and friendly before and during our stay. Shae at reservations was so knowledgeable and patient with all my inquiries; and so was Victoria at Club Marriott that I am seriously considering a Club Marriott membership. Maria at the front desk (or reservations?) was very accommodating with special requests for my husband's birthday. Sharon at check-in kindly ensured that my room was set up with a small birthday surprise and also had the bed guards I requested for my toddler. Jelen at the Starlight by the pool was an excellent server, and I really appreciated her kind smile and consistently checking on our table. Pilar at check-out verified that my hotel charges were correct and also thoughtfully asked about whether I had a good stay to which I replied: definitely will be coming back again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Westin Resort Guam. The lobby, pool, views, and beach access are all beautiful. My bathroom was the nicest I have ever had in a hotel, and the balcony came with a spectacular view that allowed me to take in the turquoise water as well as part of the surrounding city. The breakfast was something like $30 per person per day, but I selected it as a loyalty gift and enjoyed the wide variety of hot and cold selections on buffet each morning. I probably wouldn't have gone more than once or twice if paying out of pocket, but the selection is engaging enough to justify at least one sampling if you are interested. The drink tickets I was given were also appreciated as I was able to use them as I pleased for coffee or alcoholic drinks in the lobby or by the pool. There is even a gift shop located within the lobby area in which I was able to pick up goggles and souvenirs, and the front desk was kind enough to help me mail some post cards. The airport shuttle was not running during my stay, nor was the lounge open. I wish the pool would have stayed open later, but overall it was a delightful stay and I would gladly return.

We stayed here with three generations of parents and children at the end of June 2023.
We had exchanged emails in advance to make requests and to check the impact of the typhoon, and Ms. Siska's response was very good and helpful.
However, perhaps the request was not conveyed to the front desk, as we checked in late at night in a room that was different from the room information we had received in advance for our Marriott Platinum upgrade, and we had a hard time settling in. In the end, we refunded the upgrade points and returned to our original room, but our plan to give my parents a suite room was ruined.
All the hotels in Guam have a worn-out feel, so perhaps we didn't have high expectations, but the room was absolutely fine for us. Due to the typhoon, cleaning was done every other day, but towels were replaced immediately if we contacted them. There is a washing machine and dryer with automatic detergent dispenser on the second floor, but it is charged. Credit cards are accepted.
Instead of being able to use the lounge due to the typhoon, we were able to get free drinks at Starbucks near the front desk and free drinks including alcohol at the pool bar (both Starbucks and the bar have a limited number of bottles), so for us who don't use the lounge much on a daily basis, this was actually better.
The pool became available midway through our stay, but it wasn't anything special. It might be a bit boring for kids to play in. The sea in front of the hotel is close to the center of Tamon Beach, so there aren't many coral reefs and there are hardly any fish, so it's just okay for snorkeling. There are much more fish near the Hilton (but there is no sandy beach in front of the Hilton).
It's in the center of the tourist area, so it was convenient to walk outside. DFS was closed due to the typhoon, but I was a little disappointed when I heard it reopened the week after I returned home.
I'd like to visit again next year when I'm fully recovered.

It was my first visit to Guam and I have to tell you that you have great team members in your property.
As you know, due to the Corona issues I had many incidents in my previous stay.
When check in, Maria who works in Club floor helped me showing several room types with shining smile. And she made great efforts at the check out time when I asked extension of my stay without paying if possibe even though it really bothered her.
Your Room Manager, Yina reminded me of my older sister. She really cared me willingly like family members when selecting my room type. I could feel at home talking in our mother tongue not in English.
Roma who also works in Club floor managed my dinner reservation very carefully even in crowded Club lounge desk.
And General Manager Mr. Nick Song finally gave me a perfect vacation. Because of the cancellation of my flight I had to stay longer in Guam than expected. However as the Governor issued lock down in whole Guam I had no places to go to. Mr. Song showed me generosity that I could stay in my room until my flight and it meant a lot to me because I was so tired and frustrated.
I have heard good reputations about your property from my friends such as perfect locations, nice beaches, good f&b. However the real pros that you have are your team members. Your sincereness and kindness shine like the sun in Tumon beach. I cannot wait to see you once again.

Booked for Fathers Day weekend. We enjoyed the pool/ beach area the most since our plans were to paddle both days.
Tried to book dinner but was already fully booked both nights.
The room we stayed in was 1625 and newly renovated to our liking.
Had 1 day of breakfast buffet at Prego and the next at Taste. Taste was clearly understaffed the Monday morning as we waited awhile to be seated. Food took awhile to be served as the wait staff mentioned that the kitchen is behind on orders.
Tried to order lunch at Mistys Pool Bar but staff was like 25 minutes late. Our lunch took over an hour to come and was served a little under on the warm side, the kids were extremely hungry at the time.
Services and staff throughout are always well trained. F&B management clearly needs to step up their game. We really didn’t expect the slow lacking services not to blame the staff as their were on the move trying to accommodate customers.
Westin is located a walks away from stores and restaurants as we walked off property both nights to enjoy family dinner.
Although keeping a positive mind we always enjoy our stay at Westin, looking to avail Club Lounge privileges once they reopen and as a Bon Voy member always staying on the higher floors with the best view of Tumon Bay is a delight.
Our kids were asking about Brick Live since they remembered our last stay before Covid.
We’re are hoping in Westin’s full Services to guests soon as things get better with Covid.

Decided to hit the Westin for a brunch staycation on a long holidays weekend.
Pro is a great location on the beach 🏝 that’s quite walkable for its guests. Lots of shopping and restaurants & bars nearby.
Con for many would be the loud live music in the evening that reverberated through the walls.
Slight hiccup with check in while getting room secured. Kept being told how they were fully booked, but it seemed more likely to being short staffed. Walked over to Mix to grab a snack while waiting, but couldn’t get any service 🤷🏻♂️
Dropped bags in room after some waiting and headed to the pool, which had the same menu as Mix. Will review that at Misty’s Beach Bar🏝
Rooms can look a bit dated and could use a refresh, but it is a pandemic 😷
Room was clean with a comfortable bed 🛌 Water pressure not that great in the shower 🚿
Press coffee in room a big plus☕️👍🏻
Biggest problem was the TV 📺
TV only had 3 channels: USA, Golf Channel, & CNN. Called front desk to report and they said they’d look into it.
Eventually 1 channel working, CNN, so called down again.
Later still no call back or tech sent up 🤷🏻♂️
No mention on check out.
🅿️Free parking in covered lot, but limited spaces
💳 AmEx, Visa, Mastercard

We were upgraded to a suite and had a large room with a city/beach view. The bed was not a Westin mattress, it squeaked and the coils could be felt when you sat on the mattress. The bed was on a rolling bedframe & not attached to the wall. I'm not sure if this was because of the typhoon water damage that the hotel experienced or if this was the norm. Besides the bed, the room was a nice size with good amenities. The breakfast was plentiful. The lounge was on the 3rd floor in the Italian restaurant, a temporary location, while the top floor lounge was being renovated because of typhoon damage. Every night of our stay, the lounge was overrun with people lining up before it opened at 5 pm for their free food/drinks. It was hard to believe that that many guests were Marriott status members - it felt like the entire hotel was invited to the lounge. It was a completely chaotic feeding frenzy and was not at all enjoyable.
We enjoyed the beautiful beach and beach amenities (SUP boards, kayaks, for rent), lounge chairs were first come, first served but many of them were broken and rusty. Most of the railings on the exterior of the hotel were missing or a sharp rusty mess. A lot of the interior flooring tiles were also broken and missing. The typhoon caused a lot of damage but in speaking with other guests we concluded that much of this disrepair was probably in place prior to the typhoon.

I am a frequent Marriot (Westin) guest, Marriot should be ashamed to brand this a Westin. First, the property is very tired, needs a lot of TLC. Some of the staff really tries to overcome the affects of COVID, we get it as travelers, but you should not be charging full rate for partial service! Very disappionted in my experience here, tarnished a great Island.

This hotel has friendly staff and has a great location right on the beach and near restaurants.
The room was very comfortable and had blackout shades that help with jet lag. The restroom was stocked with all the amenities and even had both a shower and tub.
The pool and beach area are very relaxing and there was a nice bar serving drinks starting in the afternoon.
Overall it was a great hotel and I would stay here again

The hotel is decent but it has some issues like the A/C not getting colder than 22 C. The room was fine but the bathroom had seen better days. Mostly maintenance issues. Talking about maintenance issues my room had leaking condensation that leaked into the closet luckily it missed my clothes. This appears to be a common issue at this hotel as the maintenance man showed up with a shopvac to vacuum up the water. I’m staying this week at the Hyatt Regency down the street and oh what a difference. Much better hotel. Time to up your game Westin.
