It is a pretty standard Marriott hotel, no frills, but very convenient to use as a base to explore the North Shore. The room and the facilities were clean. Parking cost 15$/night. They charged me for the pool towels but they corrected it when I pointed it out before checking out.

After a long flight from the mainland, we arrived at the hotel after 10:00 PM to check-in only to learn that they did not have the bigger room we had reserved and they were completely sold out of the bigger rooms. This left us short a bed for one of our children who ended-up sleeping on the floor. The man at the front desk was very apologetic but it still did not solve our problem. After two nights in the smaller room, we were finally able to get the problem corrected for our last two nights. Our overall experience after the initial problem was mostly positive but I will say that the sofa bed in our bigger room was by far the worst mattress I have ever tried. After the first night on the sofa bed, my son said that sleeping on the floor was much more comfortable. The food at the restaurant was decent and the price seemed fair for Hawaii. Still not sure why they only serve dinner on the weekend???

We spent 3 nights in a one bedroom suite. Our room overlooked the pool area. The check in staff were wonderfully accommodating. We arrived way too early because I had received an email that notified us that our room was ready. This was around 11:00 AM with normal check in at 4:00 PM. The front desk staff were able to put a rush on the cleaning of the room and we were able to check in within 15 minutes. The room has a separate bedroom with a king bed. There is a pullout couch in the living room with extra futon type cushions in a closet. We did need to call down for sheets for the pullout bed. There are minimal kitchen type appliances in this room. There is a microwave, small dorm type refrigerator and a coffee maker. There are no utensils, plates, or other implements to cook anything. There are paper cups for the coffee. My assumption is that these are limited due to COVID. There is no daily cleaning and the cleaning staff were great with replacing the towels when asked. You have to put your trash out in the hall for pick up as well. We were thrilled with a surprise Valentine gift of candies that were in the room. The shower in the bath is huge with an expansive glass panel, nice shampoo with tee tree oil and body soap with lemon scent. The bathroom counter is large and has enough room for 2 peoples toiletries. My son was staying with us and the only down side was he had to walk through the bedroom to get to the bath in the night. The carpet and the furniture upholstery were a bit worn but the bed was extremely comfortable. It was a great place to explore the North Shore. One down side of being there on a Sunday is that most of the shops, grocery store and restaurants are closed. There is a McDonald's next to the hotel for quick grab and go meals that was open on Sunday. Even the next door Polynesian center and restaurants are closed. It is an easy walk across the road to the beach.

The Courtyard Oahu North Shore is the perfect spot for families for a vacation on the island. The staff is delightful and the rooms are up to covid cleanliness standards. The hotel has direct access to the beach via a short walking path and offers rentals for chairs, umbrellas, and just about anything else you might need for a day at the beach. The resort style pool is perfect for kids of all ages. Depending on where your room is located you may be able to have a Mountain View or ocean view. We were able to get a slight Mountain View in our room. Though the bistro has limited hours due to covid, there are plenty of great local restaurants and food trucks with in a few miles of the hotel. This location has a great small town feel being away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. There is a parking fee but it is a fraction of the cost of some of the larger beach resorts and there is no resort fee at the Courtyard Oahu North Shore. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing trip to Oahu.

Great end to a bad night. After a terrible rental car experience with Enterprise who left us stranded in a dark parking lot, we walked a mile to this nice hotel. I wish I knew the name of the women who checked us in but after a brief description of our evening she gave us a small gift that was most appreciated and made our night. She was working the front desk on 12/30/20 around 10pm. Great pool area and coffee shop!
