Our visit to Turtle Bay coincided with the start of the pandemic. It was our third time to the resort (first time as a family of three) and it was as wonderful as it always is. It’s truly one of my favourite places on the planet and my heart aches for when we might be able to return (from Australia.) 🤙

The resort is beautiful. The rooms are beautiful but each room varies with amenities, many don't have microwaves? The biggest problem I have with the resort is the management. They didn't have my 2 bedroom reservation ready when I arrived, placing me in a temporary 1 bedroom fro 2 days and then placing me in a 3 bedroom that was facing the road. The unit was very nice but the road was very noisey. I booked two weeks and asked to be moved away from the road. They agreed to move me and then said they couldn't. Then I asked after my 1st week was complete and they agreed to move me and then told me the next day I had to move back to the noisey unit. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused that and instead was pleaded with to agree to move. After asking to speak to the supervisor several times, I raised my voice to see if that would work, and it did. But I felt horrible having to do that, just to speak to a supervisor. That supervisor told me the owner of the unit decided to come in for the weekend so I needed to move. That is not a good way to treat a tourist client who has paid. The supervisor refused to give me any kind of compensation for moving and demanded I move. I pointed out several instances where I was patient with the staff, and the issues where they fell short of their words, and agreed to move because what else choice would I have? I packed up half of the unit, placing my items out in the hallway and was contacted back 10 minutes later and told I didn't have to move. A few hours later, the WIFI stopped working and the air conditioner is broken. I informed the housekeeping staff yesterday and still have not seen anyone to fix the air conditioner today. It's very frustrating.

We live in Hawaii but took our daughter for her first horseback ride for 2021 Valentine’s Day and it was the best ever!! Rol was super friendly, informative and kept checking back on all of us throughout the ride. The horses were beautiful and looked very well taken cared of!! I would highly recommend The Stables at Turtle Bay Resort if you’re looking for a beautiful beach side horseback ride. Thanks for helping us make our daughters day very special!!

I highly recommend having a spanish speaker with you! Change your money to pesos they overcharge if u dnt as a whole country. If you get the mandatory meal plan (lunch & dinner only.) here its only a small portion of food from the menu you can get but they do not tell you that! AND you only get 1 drink with dinner! They charged us when wen 1st go there for our meal plan and housekeeping fee, which they didnt clean 3 out of the 7 days we stayed smh. Then wen we were checking out they said we had to pay an additional almost $300 cause they didnt charge us for 1 night of meal plan and housekeeping. Since we told them they didnt even clean out room the day before they charged us $100 for the meal plan. Then at dinner 1 night me and my bf ordered food from our "special menu" as they put. I ordered steak and he ordered seafood paella both on our menu, they tried to make us pay $30 for the steak saying the paella was for 2 people! Room was nice but old, had mildew smell. Had full kitchen so we went to the local market for breakfast food, pool was decent. Resort was a lil crowed over the weekend but during the week we had the pools and beach to ourself. No activities to do at this place either, its literally jus 2 pools, nice beach views and the rooms. TOTAL SCAM DO NOT DO IT!
