Unit: Hololani B502 Review received date: 09/27/2023 09:21:16 Review Comments: Condo was very clean and has had a lot of work done on it to upgrade it over the past few months. Great view, saw Spinner Dolphins and Turtles playing in the water while sitting on the Lanai. Was looking for the first Whale sighting, but unfortunately was still a little too early. Great communication from the My Perfect Stays team!

The A801 condo is like a dream! The views are absolutely breathtaking! It is well stocked, and the beds are very comfortable. The location is ideal. This place was outstanding. We loved watching the turtles in the water. Very short drive to all the stuff near Napili and Kaanapali. The construction others talked about is almost done so it didn't bother us. .The managers are extremely responsive! Highly recommend!

We just returned (myself, wife, and 16/13 year old daughters) from a 8-night stay at Honolani A603. Here are listing of pros and cons. Pros. Unit A603 was great. It was clean, everything worked, and came with an amazing view of the ocean. The furniture was super comfortable (both in the unit and on the lanai). It was extremely relaxing just sitting there watch the giant sea turtles swim by. The unit was very spacious for my family of four. We had friends come over for a sunset cocktail, and still felt like we had plenty of space (there were 9 of us total). We had access to a number of beach toys too, which were kept in the garage, making car loading very easy. The pool was nice enough, and the area was very pretty when lit up at night (pool lights and tiki tourches). Cons. The building itself was okay, but certainly not a Hawaiian Paradise. The look of the building gave me lower-mid end vibes. Not awful, but just not awesome. The property was undergoing major repairs, so I am sure that helped detract from the beauty. The property manager seemed anything by warm and fuzzy. Just watching her from afar made me glad to have no reason to interact with her. There were virtually no amenities onsite, with the exception of a small pool, nice looking barbeques, a few deck chairs, and underground parking. (by contrast, our friends staying across the street had tennis, pickleball, gardens, and a game room). The location felt safe but nothing to write home about (with the exception that it is in Maui on the water!). We had reasonable access to the Blow Hole, Kapaula, Napili, and Lahaina. There is no beach access on the property, but plenty within a 5 - 10 minute drive. The airport (OGG) is about an hour away. Wailea is about an hour away. There is a convenience store about 4 walking minutes, but it's priced about 70% more than the supermarket in Napili (so good for something quick, but I wouldn't want to shop there for the week). There's also a coffee shop in the same shopping center was seemed pretty decent (good mix of locals and tourists) There's a nice 2 mile walk (south) into Ka'anapali. You can't walk too far north due to road/bridge construction on the local road. There's a decent enough pool bar/restaurant about a 7 minute walk away (if you're looking for a cocktail with a water view). Not the best, but fine. If you are looking to be wowed by the wonders of Maui (like something out of the movies) check out Wailea. It is beautiful down there, but very expensive. If you are looking for a low key vacation in Maui, where you need a home base, but will be traveling to various parts of the island (by car), Honolani should do the trick. And certainly consider unit A603.

We reserved an oceanfront apartment (A203) to enjoy the ocean and the outside. Vacasa, the booking and management company, failed to disclose that much of the building is under renovation, including the grounds and the apartment next to our's, it was a big surprise when we arrived and saw a sign in the elevator announcing that some of the renovations would produce fumes that will be unpleasant and you should stay inside if it bothers you, Really? Workers carry materials back and forth all day long, passing our lanai each time, pounding and drilling goes on all day, there is a motor scooter parked outside the door to our apartment, presumably belonging to a worker. We didn't book this blindly, we had a couple of discussions with Vacasa reps where there was ample opportunity to tell us. Our vacation is ruined and at quite an expense. I understand buildings and apartments need updating, but to withhold this information from prospective renters is criminal. We should be compensated which we will pursue.

Condo was nicely furnished with most everything we needed, including an awesome view. We shared this trip with my wife's brother and his wife and both couples celebrated their anniversaries while there. The January sun works it's way across the lanai and into the condo so closing the curtains made a difference, just have to open them for the sunset if indoors. There are three gas grills for guest use and we took advantage of that, my brother in law and his wife both acquired a taste for fresh grilled fish. Sister in law commented about some road noise as they had the guest bedroom but said after reading a bit and falling asleep it didn't wake her.

We stayed for seven days with our three grand children ages 16, 14 and 12. We were very pleased with the facility. The public beach was just a four minute walk away as were restaurants and stores. A other reviews have noted the place was not air conditioned but the sea breezes kept it comfortable. There was plenty of room and the building manager was very helpful. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool. The views were fantastic. A good time was had by all.

Hololani B603 was the perfect "home away from home" on Maui and the oceanfront location was amazing! Nearly every morning we woke to that incredible ocean view with whales cavorting in the distance and beautiful rainbows coloring the sky! At night, we drifted off to sleep with the cooling ocean breezes and the sounds of the waves below-- pure bliss! B603 had everything we needed-- clean and comfortable furnishings, plenty of towels, in-unit washer and dryer and a kitchen with everything necessary to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner-- even a blender! We got our groceries at Costco and the convenient Safeway in Lahaina-- there's a full- size fridge and freezer that holds plenty. There's also a small grocery a few minutes walk from the condo, along with Maui Brewing Co., a coffee shop, and other stores. We grilled downstairs by the pool nearly every night. The pool area was never crowded, water was warm and just feet from the ocean with comfortable lounge chairs to relax and enjoy the Hawaiian sunshine. You can get into the ocean for a swim just over the seawall, but there are plenty of beautiful beaches just a short drive away. The location is excellent and the unit comes with a parking space. It was great to come home to the condo every afternoon, relax by the pool or on the balcony (imagine whale watching from your balcony!), grill our dinner and enjoy that spectacular view. Can't wait to go back!

Incredible balcony. Views across to Molokai and tons of whales in the channel. We woke up on our first day to a double rainbow and whales jumping in the channel. Dined on the balcony regularly and sat out there reading a lot. The condo was clean and well kept and fully furnished. Immaculate BBQ's. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well equipped. Great to have a washer and dryer. If I had realized how good it was, I would have brought only half the amount of clothes. Great functional layout. Nice to have an assigned parking spot. Convenient elevator and plenty of luggage carts to get your baggage upstairs. Free Wi-Fi. Good screen doors so you could open the front and back and get a nice breeze through. We slept with the balcony doors open and loved falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves. Locals us told west Maui had a problem with beach erosion and there is no beach but plenty of nearby beaches and snorkeling spots. The pool was clean and well maintained--plenty of lounge chairs available. Being on the 6th floor was a real plus because of the unobstructed views. Check-in and directions were excellent.

We stayed in unit A101. The unit is spacy as we had 4 adults and a teenager and it never felt overcrowded. The patio is amazing and the best part of our stay. The kitchen was fully equiped as we did do cooking and there was a nice supply of condements. They owners (or cleaning crew) needed to work on their organization skills when it came to towels and sheets. When trying to find sheets for the pull out I think they had things in 4 different places and the unit was a little shy on towels. The washer wasn't working correctly at first and when we notified the owners they had maintaince show up quickly! We were able to do laundry the remainder of the time. In the master bedroom some screens were torn and didn't fit the windows so I wasn't comfortable leaving them open which did mean the unit got a little stuffy overnight. There were several fans in the unit but they despretly needed cleaned. It is time for them to upgrade lots of the furniture too. Not comfortable/safe at all. The two biggest drawbacks of our stay is NO BEACH. Reviews we had read before our stay it sounded like they were "repairing" the beach... there is no beach to repair. The other thing is the unit is right by the smoking section. You have to leave the front door open to get air in the unit the cigarette smoke streams in through the screen. At times we had no choice but to close the door it stunck so bad.

We stayed in #A204 for a week with friends. We received what seemed to be adequate information before we arrived. But once we got there we couldn’t find our unit. Called the designated rental agent (Maui Paradise Properties) and did not get a call back. Finally knocked on a door and were told there were two buildings (not mentioned in the information) and we were in the other building. We finally found the unit and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The unit itself appeared to be heavily used and needed a deep cleaning. There were 7 dishes in the cupboard so with 4 people we were constantly doing dishes. The screen door to the balcony was extremely difficult to open. We finally called the maintenance number and he came two days (and two calls) later. Unit could use more lamps and a vacuum. We called the concierge service indicated in our information packet and never got a call back (Maui Vacation Adventures). If the view from the balcony wasn’t as great as it was my rating would be lower.
