The rooms are almost the same as when I came here as a kid. They've refreshed since then, though. The beds are comfy but the pillows are flat. Things are a little worn down but not busted. Bathroom floor tiles are lifting and you can here the people upstairs peeing from the floor and walls. Good strong window AC. The pool got a little upgrade as did the lobby.
A lovely boutique hotel with overall clean bedroom and bathroom. Sparkling clean and refreshing pool with tons of outdoor seating to take in the Kahului Bay view or just sit and converse with friends. The hotel property was nicely manicured and well kept—you can tell they took everything into consideration when renovating the property. Only thing we wished we had was a microwave in room and a slightly softer bed. Otherwise, a great Maui hotel for those on a budget, especially if you've rented a car.
Stayed there one night before leaving beautiful Maui. Nice that it had a beach, pool and 10 mins from airport. The room was spacious and clean with air conditioning unit. Nice modernized pool area with access to beach which provide great sunset over the mountain.
The location is very convenient and easy to find. Everything we needed is around our location. The staff made us feel welcomed. We love it here and we are coming back again. We also love the restaurant “Tantes” because it offers a mix of filipino and american fusion style food. Very delicious.
Hotel common areas are very cute and nice. Bedrooms are simple but fair for the price you pay. Fe at the front desk is spectacular and made out stay more enjoyable with very useful tips. The area isn’t the nicest (seems to me it’s like port area and rather industrial) but it’s fairly accessible to other areas in Maui - recommend that you have a car.
Amazing customer service and spectacular beach view!!! Everyone was so accommodating and we very grateful for the ‘hospitality room’ for after check out, since our flight was late at night, it helped us freshen up before our flight!
Long story short, we missed a flight, sat in the airport for 8 hours, wound up almost going to a hostel in what didn’t seem like a great neighborhood, and ended up finding our way to Maui Seaside Hotel around 9 in the evening. The employees were incredibly nice, and absolutely saved our sanity after our stressful day of dealing with the airline. The room was spotless, the facility was incredible with manicured grass reminiscent of a putting green, a great common area to relax in, and a beautiful ocean view from their clean private beach. While I don’t expect any last minute hotels on the island to be cheap, I certainly didn’t expect to come away with the impression that it was worth every penny. If you’re considering this hotel, you will not be disappointed. My sincerest thanks to all of the employees that helped us out!!!!…
I got standard room and it was alright. The hotel is clean and centrally located next to stores and other amenities. If I stayed again I would upgrade to a room with a balcony and better view but overall a good value for a nice basic room. I probably wouldn’t eat at the restaurant connected to the hotel again though.
This property is old but has been well maintained. Typical old hotel features(dated shower, drains slow, old tv set up,window a/c unit) but everything was very clean and well maintained and functioned as expected. Great location, staff and extras like fridge/coffee in the room, really comfortable beds(soft). On site restaurant was really good! great value and enjoyable stay all around
Hidden gem. Very nice place to stay right on the water front. Peaceful and quiet. Friendly staff, great pool and view. Food in the restaurant next door was delicious Will definitely be coming back. Thank you
