Located so centrally on the island, an excellent spot. The lifts are very slow, but the restaurants onsite were delicious, with a good variety. The pool is nice, and the beach is right outside the pool area. The rooms are new with extremely comfortable beds and large bathroom. Our room faced the carpark and was very noisy early in the morning with deliveries, but that was the only negative. Great facilities including complimentary bikes for hire.
Let me first start off by saying I personally work for a travel management company and the overall customer service to F&B to housekeeping was amazing! I’m a tough critic when it comes to writing reviews and the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach did not disappoint. Intro: 10/10 I booked the Costco Travel deal because it included the room/tax, upgraded ocean view room, waived $32 resort fee, and a car rental. The upgraded ocean view was the most important to me because when you request room types at the front desk remember it’s a “request” not a guarantee. Check-In: 10/10 Upon arriving to the hotel, a young gentleman greeted us and unloaded our luggage along with our entire Costco purchase. I requested an early check-in via mobile app and when I got to the hotel guess what?! It wasn’t ready at 2pm… so instead of complaining I tipped the front desk agent $10 bucks let her know I wanted the 4th floor corner room and I’ll wait until check-in time. I headed to the bar near the pool had one drink and about 30 minutes later they called me saying the room was ready. Front desk authorized $300 for the security deposit which I thought was cheap compared to my hotel its $500. I called the Bell desk, and the same guy came to drop off our luggage about 10-minutes later. Housekeeping: 11/10 When I got to the room I did my own personal housekeeping inspection, and she exceeded all my expectations. I wish I remembered her name because we interacted almost daily since I usually decline housekeeping service, and I never had a problem getting anything I needed (friendly suggestion, please tip your housekeeper at the end of c/o these individuals literally go above and beyond to pick up after you). I stood in room 474 for about a week and let me tell you it had the perfect view of the pool and ocean. My husband and I ate at the restaurant almost daily for breakfast and dinner, and the food was delicious. One thing to note is the TV connection was terrible, nothing to major to complain about since I brought my own fire stick tv to stream shows and movies. Amenities: 10/10 We utilized almost all the amenities at the hotel and had no major complaints about the rental gear/bikes. We became friends quickly with the bell desk because we saw them every morning when we rented the beach gear which was a huge plus since it made our lounging by beach even better. Just a suggestion, I would rent your gear as early as possible in the morning to ensure you get what you wanted (i.e. beach chairs, beach mat & umbrella). Also, I forgot to mention I really appreciated the washer/dryer on my floor near the ice machine since my hiking clothes were so muddy. Construction: 10/10 I saw the construction going on but I never heard it, maybe it was because of where my room was located? Local Area/Things to do/Places to Eat: 10/10 -Costco: Stock up on your booze, H2O and snacks -Longs Drugs/CVS: Same parking lot as the hotel, they have everything you need. Stocked up on more snacks, sim card for my GoPro, and laundry detergent since my hiking gear was muddy. -Helicopter Tour w/Jurassic Falls -Scuba Diving -Luau (shout out to Uncle Willy) -Rented a Jeep: Drove North, South, East, West -Restaurants within walking distance or quick bike ride: Monicos Taqueria (taquitos were fire), McDonalds (barf), Pono Market (bomb pork/poke great for lunch), Hukilau Lanai (great for dinner), coconut marketplace (shopping/farmers market).…
I was recently on Kauai for business and a co-worker got ill on the island. I stayed with them throughout their medical needs and lost track of time and didnt have time to check out. When I explained the situation at the desk they accommodated me over the phone and worked around my schedule completely. Micah was especially helpful at the front desk and went completely out of his way to assist. Looking forward to staying there on my next trip in a few weeks!
Staying in Kapaa provided us with a good central location between Poipu and beyond to the south and Princeville to the north for exploring in our car rental. We loved our stay at this property, and really cannot say enough good things about our accommodations and the wonderful staff who made us feel welcome and like family at all times. Our room was bright, sunny, spotless, and well maintained. From our lanai we watched complimentary snacks served at the pool off and on such as watermelon spears on a popsickle stick and smores, which we went down to the pool to enjoy. We never heard a peep from the hallway or surrounding rooms and really did not notice any pool noise even with the door to our lanai wide open during day and night. Our bathroom had tub and shower combo and just one sink, if that is important to you, but we did not feel inconvenienced by it. Workers in the hospitality industry rely on gratuities to supplement their incomes so don't forget to acknowledge good service or for special requests as you go. Special shout-outs to management Leah and Holly, Mica at the desk, and Robert at the bell desk for all of their Ohana. We would return to this beautiful island location at the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort again and again.…
This hotel is located on the famous and beautiful Coconut Coast of Kauai! What a special stay, made possible by the lovely staff at this gem of resort that offers so much! Special thanks to Dawn who helped us navigate us our wonderful bike exploration of Kapaa (bikes complimentary of the resort). Ashley and Barbara at the front desk also provided warm and wonderful Hawaiian hospitality throughout our entire stay. This hotel is a great place for people to call home while they explore the wonderful sights and sounds of Kapaa!
This resort is a good resort if you are staying here as a single, the rooms are small, the deck that is attached to the room is so small you pretty much have to move inside to even just change your thoughts, the closet space with cloths hangers would be for clothes for little people, (children). The staff is friendly and informative.
We had an amazing stay! This was our second visit to the Sheraton Kauai Coconut Coast Resort. Micah at the front desk was amazing! We also enjoyed the servers and bartenders at the Crooked Surf! And the housekeeping staff were top notch!
Wonderful hotel in a very nice location, making it easy to travel north or south. Every staff member has been so kind and the amenities have surpassed our expectations. We especially enjoyed Lei making with Kaluna. She was patient as she taught and we sincerely loved the history and tradition behind them. The hotel offers many classes and our kids (+us) really loved going to them. We had an ocean front room and it was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The hotel makes it very easy to grab a latte in the morning and their papaya yogurt parfait is excellent. The pool is surprisingly spacious and the fires at night make it even more special. Parking is included in the daily resort fee as are beach towels and cruiser bikes. Such an easy hotel to stay at.
My time at this resort was just wonderful for a yoga retreat with new friends, but then it became exceptional. I had ordered a Lyft ride to get to the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour destination, but after several text updates from them of arriving soon, they never showed, Jared, the concierge, called the tour company and updated them on my late arrival and after several other attempts to find transportation, he decided to take his lunch hour and drive me there himself! I made it in time and so enjoyed the tour! Plus I was now not out the booking fee. I am eternally grateful.
We had a very nice stay here. It’s a good location for exploring the whole island. Right on the beach. You can walk to other restaurants. Make reservations for any you really want to go to. Our room was a bit dated but clean, good size, good shower. Tiny balcony but it got no sun so we never used it. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Breakfast really nice.
