Enjoy your stay in Jackson!
The hotels in Jackson are very expensive and we picked The Elk Country Inn because it seemed like the best place to stay for the money. Our double room was nice but a little pricy at $227.81. The buffet breakfast was ok but too crowded and the tables too close together. The best part was that Bubba's BBQ Restaurant was right next door and we walked over for dinner.
Beautiful establishment located in the heart of Jackson with great amenities and friendlystaff. I only wish they had a better breakfast selection rather than microwaveable breakfast sandwiches and packaged hard boiled eggs. Aside from that, awesome!
My sister and I stayed here for 1 night before our flight home the next day. It seemed clean enough (although a little run down), however, my sister always checks for bed bugs pulling apart the bed at the corners. One of the beds had a very dirty mattress pad but since it was under 3 layers of bedding we let it go...and we didn't see e/o bed bugs. We didn't go to the breakfast. I looked in but it was too crowded. I wouldn't stay here for longer than 1-2 nights. The positives were staff was nice and it was in a great location. Walking distance to everything.
The lobby staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to downtown Jackson. The pool area is nice and with 2 hot tubs we never had to worry about over crowding. We had a ground level 2/Queen room. The noise from the room above was hard to ignore. It wasn’t the footsteps & normal walking traffic that happens in a room, it was the water pipes that run down the walls. Anytime the shower was being used or the toilet flushed it was so loud in our room.
My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights in august and we loved it. The room was very clean, staff was super friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the older building and we could hear the people above us moving around but that’s not the staffs fault. We’ll stay here again! Thanks elk country inn!
