Cleanest and most efficient hostel I’ve ever stayed in! So yes, it’s a hostel. So you shouldn’t expect a hotel. But! It’s an amazing hostel. So for lodging, they have “bunks” with privacy curtains. My friend and I stayed on an upper bunk. The privacy curtain completely closes off the bunk from the rest of the room. You also have a drawer under the bunk that locks with a combination. Then there are large combination lockers that can hold all your bags (ours held a roller carry on and two large hiking backpacks). The bathrooms were the best part. There were a number of toilets with private rooms and then shared sinks. But! There were also many private rooms with a shower, toilet and sink. So if you bring your things in there, you can completely shower, use the toilet and get ready in a spacious private room. It’s awesome! There is a shared common space with couches and tables to hang out on as well. The location is fantastic as well as it’s near many restaurants and bars. Also the showers included shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You also have fresh towels. Wonderful hostel stay!

Probably not. Had a lovely visit at the end of August. Between then and my recent visit, the lockers have taken a beating. My originally allotted number did not work. I got switched to a different locker, but had to wait until 9pm before I knew which bunk I could sleep in. I was there for two nights and almost assumed that I'd have the same bunk/locker each night. Just by chance, I stopped by the office before settling in for the last night and was advised I needed to move. No one ever reached out to me to let me know that. What if I had just gone to sleep? Also, office was having difficulty printing out releases and keys. I know this is the most cost-effective place to stay near town, but I doubt I'd stay there again. One of the staff mentioned refunding me a night's rent for my inconvenience, but that did not happen.

This hostel is in a great location (it is in the basement underneath the Anvil Hotel). You're only minutes from the main square and many shops and restaurants. Everything was very clean and I like that the showers are each in a private room with a sink and toilet. It was also nice to have a lockable drawer in the bunk rooms and then a larger locker in the common area. My husband and I are almost 40 and were worried we would be the oldest guests by far (it has been many, many years since we've stayed in a hostel but it was hard to justify the price of a hotel in Jackson!). We were pleasantly surprised to see that overall the crowd seemed to skew toward the older side of things. That said, my main issue was how incredibly hot it is inside the bunks. There are individual fans inside each bunk but even still as soon as you close the curtain to your bunk there is no airflow whatsoever. I am normally cold when I sleep and actively dislike when the AC is set too low but this was way too hot even for me. It made sleep virtually impossible. The other issue is that there is no parking for guests. You have to either get lucky with street parking or move your car late at night after all the locals who work in the service industry head home for the night, freeing up parking on the surrounding streets. The front desk clerk gave me a bit of attitude when I was asking about parking. Also, if you are less than nimble make sure you request a bottom bunk. Otherwise, you may find yourself backing down a steep ladder whose rungs are further apart than ideal if you are short. I also wish the common sink area was gender-specific as I had a creepy guy trying to hit on me while I was alone washing my face and brushing my teeth. Lastly - its a hostel, so there are always going to be people who come in drunk late at night making noise. If I'd stayed at a hostel this nice back when I was in my 20's and traveling the world I would have been thrilled but now I just think I'm too old for it ;)

Bunks are hot … stuffy no circular. Need front desk person at cache not one for both anvil n cache. No parking was annoying. Locker code tricky. Location great. Cute furnishings n good bathrooms… other Guests respectful.

This is the nicest hostel I've ever been to! Very comfortable, clean, and safe. The private bathrooms were a huge plus. I found it a little hard to locate since it is connected to a hotel as well and I could only find signs for the hotel, but that doesn't take away from the experience at all. Would definitely stay again!
