Snow King Resort is celebrated for its excellent location near the Snow King slopes and Jackson Hole's allure. Guests have praised the hotel for its welcoming atmosphere, renovated rooms with cozy beds, and the friendliness of the staff, though experiences with room quality and noise levels vary. While the proximity to ski lifts and the heated pool are popular, some visitors are disappointed by the lack of breakfast and outdated amenities. Despite the mixed feedback on value and housekeeping, many find the resort's warm ambiance and adventure opportunities appealing.

This is a great place to stay! It is very convenient to the town of Jackson for restaurants and shopping. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. The ski shop staff were personable and very helpful. The rental prices are affordable, and they had a great selection of skis. Hayden's Post the resort's restaurant has a rustic atmosphere, great service, and yummy food and drinks. We purchased the three-in-one ticket to the Snow Tube, Cowboy Coaster, and Snow King Gondola (Panorama House). All three were great fun, and we ended the excursion at the King's Grill. Finally, we booked the wild life tour at the on-site Adventure Center and had a fantastic time. Our guide, Itai, was excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. We toured the elk refuge as well as The Grand Teton National Park. We saw elk, moose, bison, big horn sheep, and fox, and there are no words to describe the beautiful landscape. Half way through the tour, Itai took us to a little town called Moose Junction for a coffee break. It was one of the best cups of coffee ever!

My husband and I checked into the Snow King Resort and immediately our cat went missing in the room while we were bringing in our luggage. We searched everywhere and when we could not find her, we called the hotel manager. He sent two maintenance workers and they literally went through everything in the room, pulling out the credenza, looking behind drawers, checking behind the refrigerator, checking behind the beds (the mattress was on a bed box). When they could not find her, they followed up by searching each floor of the hotel. I really didn't expect the boys to come back, but they did and continued their search. Finally, one of the boys lifted up the bed box and said "Oh, hello there" and there was our cat! There was a hole cut out of the bed box for wires and she had squeezed through and was under the bed box. Needless to say, we were so grateful. This hotel really went the extra mile looking for our cat. They could have quit after their search of the room and corridors, but they didn't! Our room was so clean and sterile when we arrived. It made us feel safe. The beds were luxuriously comfortable with very nice linen. Also, the hotel staff were very kind and accommodating.

We stayed in four different hotels on our trip to Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks this week. This was our least favorite.
The negative first:
We would not classify this as a resort. There is nothing “luxury or resort” (other than the price)about it.
The hallways are very dark.
Our bathroom door would not stay closed.
The water in the shower would go from warm, to scalding hot, to freezing cold no matter where you positioned the fixture.
My husband was getting coffee one morning at the coffee station and a staff member was very rude to him saying that it was time for her to put the coffee way...
We ate breakfast at the restaurant. It was buffet style. The pancakes were like rubber around the edges and the bacon tasted like it had been microwaved. This for $21 a person.
The balcony of our room was wooden and did not feel secure.

The positive:
Checkin was smooth and the staff member was friendly.
The beds and pillows were comfortable.
We liked that the sink and mirror were outside the bathroom area where the shower and toilet are located.
It is ideally located if you are there to ski.
Very close to downtown JH.

Our group stayed in three rooms, located next door to one another; we were part of a larger group of people in town for several wedding festivities. The resort is centrally located next to downtown Jackson.

The food and drinks were quite tasty and reasonably priced. A buffet was the only option for breakfast; a la carte items or standard breakfast fare would have been welcomed. We dined both inside and out and were pleased with our experience.

Our group utilized the pool and spa, which were not crowded, considering it was the weekend. Towels were stocked, umbrellas were available. A station with water outside would have been handy. Also, no poolside food/drink service was available.

We rode the alpine slide; a lot of fun but overpriced at fifteen dollars a ride.

Our room was not serviced at all during our stay, which we were made aware of upon check-in. Considering the price for a nightly stay, this is not okay. Arrangements could be made to clean the room while we were out of the room (standard practice even before Covid). Also, a hair dryer was not in our room and when we inquired at the front desk, we were told they didn’t have anymore. We needed to ask facecloths upon check-in as well. When our tiny trash was full, we were told to bag it up, place outside our room and notify the front desk, which we did. Again, one would expect alternate arrangements to be in place to “serve” the guests, rather than compromise on the resort experience, using the now-old “due to Covid... “ line.

Shuttle service to and from the airport is provided with advance notice.

The resort offers several activities that were available during our stay . In addition to the alpine slide, guests can enjoy mini golf, a short roller coaster ride, cycling, hiking an an adventure course. A free bouldering wall is also located within a small park near (maybe part of) the resort.

When I asked about hiking routes early on Sunday morning, the gal at the front desk was not knowledgeable at all. Employees need to have basic information regarding resort activities, prices and services.

Realizing I left some clothing in the drawer of my hotel room dresser, I called the resort the night we checked out. Our room was occupied and I needed to call back the following morning to follow up. I spoke with a different person than the previous night and I was frustrated that I needed to assert myself in order to have the room checked ‘ and the items given to my niece who was checking out that morning. The front office manager said (rather tersely) he would take care of it; not an offer to call me back. I called an hour later and all was taken care of.

We enjoyed our time at Snow King Resort and would return to stay during winter.

We weren’t impressed for the price. The balcony was old and looked unsafe and had no chairs to sit on. We specifically asked several weeks in advance for a ground floor room because we had a dog afraid of elevators and were told they had none available and we were put up on a 4th floor. Couldn’t use hot tubs due to reservations required and all booked. Staff did accommodate us when we needed a closet to put our ebikes somewhere safe and it was within easy walking distance to a park.

Our family booked this resort for our family reunion of 15+ family groups over 2 years ago and pushed out due to covid. When booking a 3 bedroom condo of over $700 a night we requested pack and plays for rooms with young children. Something you’d expect of a “resort”, we confirmed a week before arrival that there would be pack and plays or we would bring our own. Remember pack and plays are used to help a baby sleep. The poor front desk employee was not empowered to make this right for their guests. As a person who used to work at Disney World these things are easy, just delight the guest. I suggested that I go buy a pack and play and get reimbursed for the cost. The manager said only up to $50 as that is how much it costs Snow King. When I called the manager he complained that it was his day off and that he’d try to go to the resort to help me. When pressed about an extra room or a night for free he said that was not an option. At this price point per night I would suggest go stay anywhere else. The resort seems to be “nice” yet the poor front line staff is not empowered to delight guests and the management is not willing to support guests needs when the resort had already committed.

Here is a photo of our daughter in the sleeping arrangement that snow king provided.

When you travel to a spot where you’ve never been, there’s always a risk of things not turning out exactly as you read or researched. However, I can’t say enough about the Snow King Resort. Our room was clean and parking was easy. Flying from across the country for a quick four day visit to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, I wanted a convenient and safe place to come home to each evening. I was greeted with such a warm welcome at the reception desk, provided a map of the area and given information about things to do around the facility (including a special S’mores event open to anyone staying on the property). A big concern on my mine was finding a place to buy/rent bear spray on short notice, but the front desk even took care of that by providing a complimentary can to borrow. All of my questions were answered promptly and courteously by the room coordinator (Lucy), and I’m still thinking about the Macaroni & Cheese, Butter fish and Crab Cakes we enjoyed for dinner our last night at the onsite restaurant... it was delicious and extremely well priced. I’ve already recommended Snow King Resort to several friends planning to go west in 2021. It’s easy to give this place five stars, and the location was perfect to allow day trips to both the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.

We visit Jackson every year but this was our first time staying at Snow King. The space was beautiful and I loved the location. As far as I could tell, the Resort did a fantastic job in terms of covid cleanliness, with staff wearing masks at all times and lots of clear signage - we all felt very safe. I felt It snowed a bunch while we were visiting so the skiing was great, but what really felt like a cherry on top of a great holiday vacation was the staff - in particular Nick at the front desk. Upon arrival after an exhausting day of travel, he was warm and welcoming. Every single time he saw us he greeted us and made us feel like we were old friends. He bent over backwards to help in any way he could by calling shuttles, giving the BEST recommendations on food and shopping on the square and generally handling the constant neediness of my family of four young children with patience and graciousness. Nick at the front desk is a real keeper!
We will DEFINITELY be back.

We stayed 5 nights and on the web page it says stay 3 nights get breakfast for free for 2 adults. When we checked in they told us no we don’t qualify for it because booked through AARP/Expedia, however it doesn’t say that on their web page. The breakfast is a buffet at $20.00 a person and they had 20% gratuity for a buffet that was just OK.
They advertised hot chocolate in the lobby and they said we haven’t done that in a long time. If you want extra towels you better ask for them early in the day after 5:00pm you likely won’t get them. First night we had stained sheets on one of the beds we had asked they be changed, they weren’t and the front desk had to walk them up so that we could change them.
The rooms are nice size and modern. No air or ventilation in the bathroom and it got hot in there. The s’more bag is cool and the kids enjoyed it. The pool was too cold so they stayed in the hot tub.

We recently took our 2nd trip as a couple to Jackson and decided to try Snow King this time for our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We had one meal and drinks at the in house restaurant which was good and well worth the prices. After leaving a review about a small problem with their internal review request, we were promptly contacted by the manager and offered a partial refund for the inconvenience. Now, that's what I call service!
The location is close to downtown, pretty much anywhere we wanted to go was a 5 minute drive or less, make it a pleasant visit.
Will definitely stay again in the future.
