I can’t say enough nice things about our stay. Clean, comfortable, our hosts were very accommodating and the breakfasts were awesome!! During the day there are snacks and cider/coffee. The refrigerator upstairs also came in handy. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home. Great breakfasts. Cool location. But best part of this stay was the extreme friendliness of the hosts. Porch was delightful. Sturgeon bay probably doesn’t have the reputation of farther up peninsula but we found it to be wonderful. Love the cookies

We have stayed in many bed & breakfast inns across the country, and Scofield House Bed and Breakfast is one of the best. Our host and hostess, Karl and Janet were very friendly and VERY knowledgeable about not only their lovely B&B, but about the whole Door County experience. Five Star breakfasts, and lots of snacks along with a great room. Highly recommend.

The daily breakfasts and afternoon treats are top-notch. The hosts are welcoming, personable, and full of great tips for visiting Door County. Last, but certainly not least, are the exquisite woodwork, furnishings, and history of this B&B.

The hosts (Carl and Janet) were born to do this. The home is everything you could ask for. The house is over 100 years old and has many many interesting items throughout to appreciate. The breakfasts were wonderful both in presentation and flavor. There were little extras at every turn. Chocolates, hot chocolate and coffee all day. Soda in a refrigerator, and a mini fridge in the room. They had games to use. (I learned how to play cribbage.) You could not ask for more in a B&B. John G.

My husband and I stayed at the Scofield House this last month for our 34th anniversary and my birthday. We go away every year, often twice a year to different bed and breakfasts and Karl and Janet have an amazing, beautiful, peaceful place to visit! The home is beautiful; the woodwork and antique furniture is gorgeous! Our upstairs suite ( the top floor) is huge, comfortable and beautiful and I loved the huge jacuzzi tub! We enjoyed watching movies at night while we sat on the couch together, and the hidden, behind the pretty wood work, refrigerator and hot water machine to make tea and hot chocolate (all there for you!),was such a nice extra! Chocolates and homemade treats everyday and scrumptious breakfasts each morning, were all wonderful! We loved walking around Sturgeon Bay and shopping and eating at Crate restaurant (Japanese/sushi), and looking at the boats and the bay. Karl and Janet are very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed getting to know them! Highly recommend staying here; you will love it!

Janet and Karl obviously take great pride in the Scofield house and in what they do. We had a wonderful weekend. The breakfasts were amazing! It was a pleasure to stay at The Scofield House and have a chance to talk with them. We would highly recommend this B & B to anyone.

The Scofield House is a beautiful place but what makes it a home is Carl & Janet! They are perfect hosts! We were welcomed in and made to feel like it was our home too. Everything they do there is designed to make us feel more comfortable. From the in-room ice water and the hot pot with teas and coffee to the cookies and snacks in the dining room to the cozy library to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book in the evening. The breakfasts were amazing! Beautiful creations every morning! We so enjoyed our time there and look forward to visiting again!

We just left and I couldn’t wait to write this review. My husband surprised me with a last minute getaway for my birthday. I had no idea of the absolute treat we were in for! From the moment we pulled up in front of the beautiful home, I knew that the Scofield had a story to tell. From the incredible inviting atmosphere of the huge front porch, to the beautiful woodwork and decor as we stepped inside, to the warmth of the fabulous hosts, Karl and Janet... that was just the beginning! Our “Room at the Top” exceeded every expectation for a romantic and relaxing evening away from home. The room was spotless, the bed and furniture were super comfortable, the huge jacuzzi next to the fireplace called me to return, and the incredibly delicious two-course breakfast was beyond our expectations. Thank you, Karl and Janet, for welcoming us with open arms, sharing in your life, and creating a memorable experience for us to unwind from our big, beautiful family to connect with each other in an intentional and memorable way! We will be highly recommending Scofield, and we will be back soon!
