My husband and I spent my recent birthday weekend at The Foxglove Inn and we absolutely adored our stay! We were so impressed by the property and the service and professionalism of staff. We would absolutely choose this property for our next stay in Door County.

Sturgeon Bay was a great, quiet home base for us as we ventured to different parts of Door County during the day. We could easily walk to nearby outdoor bars and patios from the B&B and drive to different parks and attractions during the day. We stayed in the Water Lilly room and enjoyed the spacious room, large soaking tub, delicious breakfasts, and adorable aesthetic touches. The room was just perfect for the two of us.

Our host, Kelly was always available via text and was so kind to accommodate our preferences for breakfast. We were especially impressed by the way that the Inn's staff handled COVID-19 concerns. All common areas were closed, housekeeping was only handled between guest stays (although towels and trash could be handled upon request), and all rooms were accessible from the exterior of the building. Breakfast was delivered directly outside the room promptly at the requested time each morning, and staff wore masks. Thank you for doing your part to keep us safe, healthy, and relaxed while on vacation!

We’ve now stayed at Foxglove 3 times and somehow, every time is better than the last. It is quickly becoming a yearly tradition. This time we stayed in the Forget Me Not suite but previously stayed in the Water Lily Suite and Quiet Rose Room. This bed and breakfast is the definition of rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. The owners are truly the most accommodating, kind, and welcoming. This was our first time coming in the summer and we were able to utilize the porch and garden area which was beautiful (winter is just as good as rooms have fireplaces and are decorated for the holidays so it’s very cozy). Our room had private access/porch so it was wonderful to spend some time out there and have our door open to allow the summer breeze in. Rooms are quiet and very clean while still being spacious and cozy. Homemade breakfast delivered to our door in the morning was phenomenal, as it always is. Something that’s fun is that every single time we’ve stayed, we’ve had a new and different breakfast each time.
Notes about covid safety - We desperately needed a mini vacation but wanted to do so in the safest way possible and this was definitely it. The inn is always very clean but we especially felt so at this time. The precautions really made us feel safe and comfortable. On arrival, we chose to wear masks to great the host and she was doing so as well. She met us outside and social distanced, hand sanitizer available, while she explained how the inn operates. The rooms that are open right now all have their own private entrance and the lobby/hallways are closed so it was truly a no contact interaction which made us feel very comfortable. She let us know that they weren’t coming into rooms to do housekeeping while you stayed which makes sense but we were able to change out our towels every day and anything we needed for our room, she was a phone call away. We had our own porch with seating but we noticed all other outside seating areas were spaced out. As always breakfast is no contact as it’s just left in a tray outside of the hallway door with a knock. The area in door county was not overwhelmingly busy at the beginning of a week (we stayed Monday-Wednesday) so we were safely able to explore while social distancing and restaurants are offering both takeout and patio seating.

We chose the Cedar room because it had its own private balcony---a beautiful place to eat the delicious breakfast and overlook the beautiful yard. They were able to accommodate my need to eat gluten free. The coffee was delicious and the bed was quite comfortable. Because the Inn is directly across the street from the shipyard, there can be some construction noise while they are building a new facility so being in the back of the house was helpful. We loved that there is afternoon coffee/tea set out and everything was beautifully presented. We appreciated that masks are required in the hallways and the staff always wears one. The front porch is amazing and a wonderful place to hang out. There is a beautiful garden in the back with places to sit and look at the flowers. All in all....a wonderful way to relax and recharge. (And the abililty to walk to lots of restaurants/shops is a plus)

Great location with access to downtown Sturgeon Bay. Beautiful, well kept property and facilities. Our room was fantastic with a fireplace and modern spacious bathroom and great shower. The owner could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We had fresh cookies in our room and our request for coffee or tea in the evening was met with a smile. We asked for early coffee and a great breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Overall a great stay. Highly recommend the Foxglove Inn.

We stayed 3 nights in the Hawthorn suite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The room: The rooms were clean, bright, and beautifully decorated. The king-sized bed was large and comfortable, with nice pillows and comforters. The bedroom featured a bright and cozy window nook which was perfect for reading or enjoying a cup of tea. The living room had cute bay window seating which was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast every morning. The hot tub was comfortable and relaxing, with high water pressure to fill quickly. The room also featured a wood-burning fireplace that was easy to start, and added a lot of ambience to an evening. Each room also had a very tasteful flower arrangement featuring plants directly from gardens around the inn.

The inn: The inn featured a common hallway with hot/cold water, coffee, and snacks. There are 3 gardens around the inn that are all beautifully and meticulously maintained and were lovely to walk through.

The breakfast: Breakfast was served every morning at the time of our choosing with a polite knock on our door. There was a different option every morning but every meal was well-balanced, healthy, and above all, delicious. The food was made with fresh, local ingredients, and the presentation was delightful as well.

Overall: The whole experience was wonderfully relaxing and pampering. Kelly took great care to make sure we had everything we needed and that the stay was all we hoped for, and more. The inn abounds with thoughtful touches that go above and beyond, from flower arrangements in every room, to candles on the patios, and the beautiful landscaping. We will definitely be back in the future!

My wife and I stayed in the Lady Slipper Suite for 2 nights and have nothing but high praise for facility and Kelly its owner. Our 2nd floor room was spacious and well appointed. Kelly was a gracious hostess, very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. There is no communal dining area for breakfast. Instead, once Kelly ushered us to our room, we were asked about our breakfast preferences and eating times. Breakfast was delivered promptly at the appointed time and left on a serving tray outside our room. Truly a culinary experience. The added touches of locally grown sweetango apples and raspberry and blackberry compotes helped start the day the right way. We highly recommend this inn and would not hesitate to return again.

We stayed at this lovely inn for two nights after the Labor Day weekend,2022 The Foxglove Inn is both charming and beautiful. Hosts Gabe and Allan pay careful attention to detail to assure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Cedar room which had a balcony to enjoy breakfast on and view the gorgeous gardens and yard below. The room was immaculate, bed and pillows very comfortable. My favorite part was having breakfast delivered right to our door, enabling us to relax and sip the wonderful Door County coffee while enjoying a fabulous breakfast both days. It was easy to make our way up the Peninsula to visit all the sites in Door County. We would choose this Inn again if we choose to visit this lovely once more. Thank you to Gabe and Alanna for making us feel so welcome!

What a great place to stay! There is no holding back on every detail including coffee and sweet treats 24/7, texting for anything you need, the unique decor of each room, the wine waiting for us when we arrived, the cleanliness, and the outstanding breakfasts! We loved being close to so much in walking distance and the hosts were very friendly, but also respected our privacy. You will not be disappointed!!

Only service animals are allowed in the Inn. However, we can recommend an amazing farm retreat nearby for your furry family member where they'll enjoy the trip just as much as you will - Cajun Acres. Highly recommended!
