We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful B & B in Sturgeon Bay. The rooms were decorated with thoughtfulness and charm. We enjoyed the Lavendar room with a jacuzzi tub and private deck. One can tell Robin takes pride in her home. Cleanliness was noted and appreciated! Loved the ceiling fan option. The breakfast were plentiful and delicious. She is very conscientious about her guests allergies and dislikes. An unexpected bonus was the nightly treats placed in the hall along with a little refrigerator filled with water and soda, plus coffee, tea, and microwave. A stay here won't be a disappointment!
This was our first time to stay in a B&B. Robin the owner was wonderful and made us feel like friends. Breakfast was excellent and right on time. We woke up to the smell of fresh baked muffins. Highly recommend this cute place.
I can’t say enough about Robin’s hospitality! She’s warm and friendly, and it’s obvious she absolutely loves hosting guests. The breakfast she made was delicious, filling, and different each morning. She even wrapped muffins so we could take them hiking. She left coffee near the guest rooms in the morning before breakfast time and set out homemade desserts at night. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back!
Just left the Garden Gate from our second visit in about a year. We really enjoyed both visits. Both times we have stayed in the lavender room and really recommend. I love waking up in the morning and drinking coffee on the private deck as well as ending the day with a nice two person jetted tub. Each morning Robin serves a delicious 2 course breakfast that also includes a muffin that she usually wraps up for people to have as a snack later. When you get back to the B&B from dinner there is 1-2 kinds of dessert in the hall for you to help yourself. She also has a mini fridge and microwave to share with some soda and water in the fridge. Robin is the owner and she is so friendly and is great at her job. Everything feels clean and welcoming. Unfortunately the water is hidden by a…
We stayed in the Cottage Rose Room this past weekend and had a wonderful time. Coffee outside the door every morning was a big plus, not to mention homemade sweets at night - perfect. We particularly liked staying in Sturgeon Bay and day tripping up to the beach towns - allowing us to escape the crowds each night. The drive up "B" and "G" to Egg Harbor is one of the prettiest in the country and the Garden Gate location is excellent. Robin is a fantastic host - an amazing baker - and an all-round interesting lady with great tips for local sights. She was born to do this. The house is quaint and charming and her garden is beautiful. Highly recommend.
We stayed for two days at Robin's lovely home. Everything was as expected. House is really beutiful, with a lot of little details. Robin was a great host. Door County is great if you want to escape from busy life and relax in nature and countryside.
Had a great stay at Garden Gate last week. The food was delicious! Hot coffee was ready in the hallway when I awoke, breakfast was fresh and filling, and there was cake or cookies every night. Robin (our host) was very friendly and chatty. She also had the breakfast tables spread out per social distancing guidelines, which I appreciated. I stayed in the Vintage Rose room, which was small but comfy. Nice big bathroom.
Charming, quaint, Victorian B&B. We spent two night there, beds were comfy and we woke up well rested. Robyn prepared a delicious hearty breakfast every morning, flower accents from the garden were a nice touch. Mostly it was warm, welcoming, and homely.
The owner Robin, was amazing and made us feel at home. She made amazing muffins, cake, and a delicious breakfast. There were complimentary sodas and bottles of water available as well. She went out of her way to help us feel at home. We were in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend and will definitely go back.
My wife and I were looking for a quaint B & B to celebrate our 3 yr anniversary and to enjoy our baby moon before the arrival of our son. We could not have picked a better place than this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. The grounds are beautiful and the building inside has amazing character. We had a wonderful stay in the lavender room and we enjoyed a restful nights sleep on the comfy bed. Robin is such a wonderful Hostess. Robin made breakfast for us in the morning and also for another couple that was also staying and we all had such a wonderful time and conversation. Thank you Robin for your great hospitality and we will definitely be coming back to stay in the near future!!
