This was our first time in Door County and a B&B. Our room small and cozy with a TV, fireplace, books and DVD's and the bed was very comfortable. Robin is an amazing and a very-friendly host. She has a refrigrator in the common area filled with water & sodas, microwave, tea, fresh coffee available in the morning and some dessert when you return at night. Her breakfasts are real treat! She makes delicious and very filling breakfasts and some dessert. She even gave us the list of places one should visit and to eat when in Door County. We really enjoyed our stay at Garden Gate!

It is obvious from first meeting Robin that she loves to be a hostess. She showed us around the property, spelling out the amenities, like a shared refrigerator on the second floor, for guests, and stocked with sodas and water; cookies and cake available all the time, as well as hot tea, along with a microwave. Our room was tight, but made up for with a roomy bathroom, a ceiling fan, and windows that we could open for fresh air. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept soundly until the aroma of fresh baking muffins woke us. Breakfast was very filling and delicious, and we were able to take away the chocolate chip banana muffin (SO tasty!) that my husband didn't eat. Since breakfast isn't served until 0900, we got a later start on the day than we had first planned. The

My husband and I recently stayed at Garden Gate for 5 nights. We found our room to be very comfortable and quiet and the breakfasts were outstanding. The portions were large and filling; we did not need lunch! My husband, who loves sweets, thought the chocolate cherry scone was the best he's had! Drinks were available all day and delicious desserts every evening. The owner, Robin, clearly loves being a hostess and made us feel like family. She is very knowledgeable about the area and was glad to answer any questions. We would highly recommend to friends!

Robin was a wonderful host and made you feel very welcome from the time we arrived until the time we we left. The rooms were very welcoming and decorated very nice. The breakfast was great! We would stay again if we ever get to Door County again.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful B & B in Sturgeon Bay. The rooms were decorated with thoughtfulness and charm. We enjoyed the Lavendar room with a jacuzzi tub and private deck. One can tell Robin takes pride in her home. Cleanliness was noted and appreciated! Loved the ceiling fan option. The breakfast were plentiful and delicious. She is very conscientious about her guests allergies and dislikes. An unexpected bonus was the nightly treats placed in the hall along with a little refrigerator filled with water and soda, plus coffee, tea, and microwave. A stay here won't be a disappointment!

I can’t say enough about Robin’s hospitality! She’s warm and friendly, and it’s obvious she absolutely loves hosting guests. The breakfast she made was delicious, filling, and different each morning. She even wrapped muffins so we could take them hiking. She left coffee near the guest rooms in the morning before breakfast time and set out homemade desserts at night. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back!

Just left the Garden Gate from our second visit in about a year. We really enjoyed both visits. Both times we have stayed in the lavender room and really recommend. I love waking up in the morning and drinking coffee on the private deck as well as ending the day with a nice two person jetted tub. Each morning Robin serves a delicious 2 course breakfast that also includes a muffin that she usually wraps up for people to have as a snack later. When you get back to the B&B from dinner there is 1-2 kinds of dessert in the hall for you to help yourself. She also has a mini fridge and microwave to share with some soda and water in the fridge. Robin is the owner and she is so friendly and is great at her job. Everything feels clean and welcoming. Unfortunately the water is hidden by a

We stayed in the Cottage Rose Room this past weekend and had a wonderful time. Coffee outside the door every morning was a big plus, not to mention homemade sweets at night - perfect. We particularly liked staying in Sturgeon Bay and day tripping up to the beach towns - allowing us to escape the crowds each night. The drive up "B" and "G" to Egg Harbor is one of the prettiest in the country and the Garden Gate location is excellent. Robin is a fantastic host - an amazing baker - and an all-round interesting lady with great tips for local sights. She was born to do this. The house is quaint and charming and her garden is beautiful. Highly recommend.

We stayed for two days at Robin's lovely home. Everything was as expected. House is really beutiful, with a lot of little details. Robin was a great host. Door County is great if you want to escape from busy life and relax in nature and countryside.
