Happened to browse the Wisconsin website to check out Door County's fall color accomodation possibilities. Saw this Victorian B&B, phoned, and was fortunate enough to book the English Lavender room with its double whirlpool. Innkeeper Robin Vallow greeted us at the door with a warm and welcoming smile and proceeded to take us to our room where we found wine and heart shaped cookies to celebrate our anniversary. Later that night, after returning from a play, we enjoyed her homemade desserts. The next morning we truly learned why the Garden Gate B&B says "Breakfast is our Signature!" We enjoyed yogurt with fresh strawberries, cranberry banana muffins, a vegetable quiche with sides of toast and bacon. All this was accented with beautiful piano music and candlelight. …
