Had a great stay at Garden Gate last week. The food was delicious! Hot coffee was ready in the hallway when I awoke, breakfast was fresh and filling, and there was cake or cookies every night. Robin (our host) was very friendly and chatty. She also had the breakfast tables spread out per social distancing guidelines, which I appreciated. I stayed in the Vintage Rose room, which was small but comfy. Nice big bathroom.

This was our first time in Door County and a B&B. Our room small and cozy with a TV, fireplace, books and DVD's and the bed was very comfortable. Robin is an amazing and a very-friendly host. She has a refrigrator in the common area filled with water & sodas, microwave, tea, fresh coffee available in the morning and some dessert when you return at night. Her breakfasts are real treat! She makes delicious and very filling breakfasts and some dessert. She even gave us the list of places one should visit and to eat when in Door County. We really enjoyed our stay at Garden Gate!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Garden Gate on our first trip to Sturgeon Bay. We stayed in the Vintage Rose Room, which was on the second floor. It was a decent size and had really nice air conditioning given the age of the house. The location was fantastic for those staying closer to Sturgeon Bay (as opposed to going further into Door County), and the pricing was very affordable, especially for the experience we had. The bathroom was a bit of an odd shape, and the lack of a door between the room and the toilet was a little unusual, but we were easily able to work around it given the shape of the space. The highlight of the experience was definitely the innkeeper, Robin. She was very accommodating when we arrived late on our first night, and she was more than happy to provide suggestions for where to go cherry-picking on our way out of town at the end of our stay. One thing that I loved is that when we described what we were planning on doing, she took the time to remember what we were up to and asked us about it the next day at breakfast. It's very clear that she cares about her guests' experience and wants them to have an amazing time. We also adored her food, and one thing I just love is that she's not shy about sharing her recipes - they're on her website! We loved the foods she chose, and we'll be nabbing some of those recipes to make ourselves (though I'm not sure we'll be able to top Robin's versions - they were delicious)! All in all, we had a wonderful experience, and I'd highly recommend Garden Gate Bed & Breakfast for those visiting Sturgeon Bay.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend away together to Door County. Robyn was an amazing host and she made great recommendations on things to do around the area. She is a wonderful cook and the breakfasts were beyond delicious!! We stayed in the English Lavender room, the whirlpool tub was very comfortable and a great place to relax after a long day of exploring. The bed is very comfortable!! The decor is beautiful and I highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a bed and breakfast! It is very close to downtown with cute shops and great restaurants! Book here, you will love it!!!

Just left the Garden Gate from our second visit in about a year. We really enjoyed both visits. Both times we have stayed in the lavender room and really recommend. I love waking up in the morning and drinking coffee on the private deck as well as ending the day with a nice two person jetted tub. Each morning Robin serves a delicious 2 course breakfast that also includes a muffin that she usually wraps up for people to have as a snack later. When you get back to the B&B from dinner there is 1-2 kinds of dessert in the hall for you to help yourself. She also has a mini fridge and microwave to share with some soda and water in the fridge. Robin is the owner and she is so friendly and is great at her job. Everything feels clean and welcoming. Unfortunately the water is hidden by a ship yard or something but unless waterfront views are what you want, this is a great option to stay in Door County! Added perk is she lets you stay for just 1 night!!

A small historic mansion with charm, matched by an equally charming and engaged innkeeper! Robin treated us like family, provided us each day with a hearty homemade breakfast, paying attention to details such as dietary restrictions, eager to disseminate history and advice on area attractions. The premises are spotless and full of interesting details that make an overnight stay here to be fun and memorable for all family members.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend. We were her first visitors since COVID-19. She was very welcoming and provided everything we needed and more. We were fed breakfast both days and got treats like muffins, scones and even cake in the evening. It was a great stay! Would recommend to anyone looking for a B&B.

Garden Gate was a perfect spot of a Door County getaway! Our room was very comfortable and clean, lots of little touches that made it very classy too. Breakfast was delicious and filling! Robin was very kind to accommodate the necessary dietary restrictions with ease. We had an infant with us and she made him as welcome as the adults and volunteered items like a high chair and pack'n'play which made traveling so easy. I highly recommend Garden Gate! Robin is a wonderful host!

This is exactly what a B&B should be. A classic, well maintained, extremely clean home. Excellent breakfast each morning as well as snacks and drinks always available. It is run by a charming, friendly, hard working innkeeper who knows the area well and offers great advice for things to do. Our room was small but comfortable, but the bathroom was very large an super clean.

We would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend to others.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend Friday through Monday! Robin, was so accommodating and gave us good information on places to visit. So much to see and will definitely be back at this location. Breakfast is amazing and the deserts are delicious! Robin takes her time to make all of her guests feel welcomed and at home. I take milk in my tea and Robin made it available. Tea and coffee available at 7am with delicious deserts throughout the day! Robin asked upon arrival if we had allergies to any food. Each morning with breakfast, Robin gave us a freshly baked muffin or scone to take with on our travels for the day. I have stayed at a BNB before, but this was exceptional, was never treated so kindly. Our accommodations was very clean and comfortable, super soft towels and sheets. I forgot my hairdryer, but had one available in the bathroom. Chairs to take with to the park also available. Very conveniently located with great parking. Our experience here was "OUTSTANDING", will definitely go back and stay here again!! Robin really cares about her guests and it shows in her service. There is a sign in her foyer that says "Come as guests, leave as friends". We could also see the fireworks from the balcony off our room - Amazing as we sat there at night having a glass of wine after we returned from our day out!
