Glad to see this place opening up. Marina is full of boats of all shapes and sizes and hotel is starting to fill. And Gillis is open on weekends but only for curbside pickup. Hopefully that will change soon. But I like their food and I’m glad for what we can get so far. Prime Rib Sandwich!!

Stayed here for the first time on an ice fishing weekend and it was awesome! Clean, well maintained, luxurious rooms. Friendly staff. Wonderful sauna and whirlpool. All for a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

A hidden Door County gem that is a must stay.
Friendly staff (Gloria) at the front desk. Gloria showed us another room we asked about and gave us more o formation on the resort. Truly helpful.
Had a room over looking the bay and marina. Very nice.
Definitely planning another trip back to this resort.

My wife and I went in wave point to see if it might be a good place to stay next year, We drove around the area and then stopped in to the restaurant around 130-2 on Sunday Sept 12, 2021. I have heard that things had change there and I had not been there in maybe 10 years.
It wasn't busy I think 3 people at the bar and 1 other table inside.
We sat down at a table and no one came to our table for 15 min,
then a busser said some one would be with us soon from the distance.
Then 10 more min. a woman came from in the back and was rude.
said how can I help you.
My wife ask for what the Sauv blanc brand was and she said it doesnt matter and she would look, then left. I got up and left and told her we were going into town and she had something smart to say. We went to Inn at Cedar Crossing and had a great meal. When I told the server there how we were treated she stated they have had a lot of problems and most locals wont go there. I did leave a message for the Gm and as of today I havent received a call back.

I wont go back, there is plenty of places that are better

Resort is dated, bar is closed Monday and Tuesday, locals feel free to drive up and use the pool. Staff blames everything on Covid. Good location if you don’t want to drive up the peninsula. This resort could be awesome if staff put some effort into providing good customer service!

My husband and I stayed at this resort with another couple the last weekend in September. We chose the Voyager suite, which is the best one in the resort. The room was gorgeous, pristine and comfortable immediately upon check-in. I did not get a chance to see the other rooms in the resort, but I would guess they are just as nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The resort also contains Gilmo's Bar & Bistro, and it is a beautiful restaurant, the perfect place to unwind with a drink after a day of shopping around Door County. Very friendly staff there as well, and the prices are quite reasonable. The resort is located a few miles outside of Sturgeon Bay, so if you feel you need to be in the heart of the action, I would not recommend you stay here. However, if you enjoy peace and quiet at the end of the day, this is perfect. The marina was also beautiful, as was the pool, but we didn't get to really test out either due to the weather at the time of our stay and we don't have a boat. The only slight downside I could find with the resort is a sewer-like smell in the halls. Our room did not have the odor.
We found the price to stay at this resort very competitive with other resorts in the area, and enjoyed our time here immensely. I would highly recommend it to anyone! My husband and I look forward to our next stay.

My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to Door County to enjoy the end of the fall season. Because it was last minute, there was little to choose from in regards to places to stay so we decided to stay here because they did have a little availability. Everything in the room over all was pretty nice upon first glance but once we actually started using things, it was very disappointing. The coffee cups in our room appears to simply have been rinsed and not actually washed because there were lipstick stains still on the rim and coffee splatters on the side. The whirlpool tub jets appeared to have NEVER been cleaned as when you ran the jets, there were (I kid you not) BROWN bubbles. I am sooooo glad I didn't get in. The pillows in the room were flat or hard and so were all the extra ones. Then when we decided to go to bed it was VERY difficult as we were right above the bar which happened to be having a big party where we got to listen to the thumping and bass all night, both of which we were NOT pleased about. I have to say, after spending nearly $200 for ONE night, I was not impressed and would not recommend to others, especially if you have a room on the first floor...

The positives: beautifully outfitted rooms (microwaves, fridge). Comfortable bed. Location
The negatives: no cell phone reception, no wi fi.

The "coincidence" part has to do with the restaurant. We were there over Labor Day weekend. We had dinner in the restaurant with 5 other couples. After we got home, we learned our credit card number was stolen and used in Texas. I e-mailed all of our friends as a "heads up". One other couple had the EXACT SAME THING happen to them, and the ONLY place we both used credit cards was the restaurant...

My wife and I took a weekend trip to Wave Pointe last August, and let me tell you the best and only good thing about this place are the Jacuzzi tubs, Nothing else was good. They have nothing there but a Bar in the basement, there is a restaurant but if ya get hungry at night they don't even have but a pop machine in the lobby, no vending machine. I had to drive to Sturgeon Bay to get something to eat. Needless to say we did not have an enjoyable weekend, and we left after the first night, we still had one night already paid for, and we just left and went back home....I/we will NEVER go there again, nor will I recommend this place, Stay Away From Wave Pointe Marina, it is a waste of money....Oh yeah the water was white, foamy, and tasted like crap, so ya couldn't even get water to quench your thirst!

I had been looking for somewhere in Door County for our 5th anniversary that was not extremely expensive, but very nice since it would be our anniversary. We stayed in a Corner Atlantis Suite. The suite was much bigger and better than we had anticipated. Full kitchen, dining area, big living room with fireplace, couch, chair, windows circling the room overlooking the marina, and doors leading out to the patio. The bedroom had a vanity area, spacious bathroom, closet space, jacuzzi tub, fireplace between the jacuzzi & bed, and another set of doors leading out to the patio. Everything was clean and we did not have any problems with noise from other rooms. We did not dine at the restaurant, but it looked nice. Many beautiful boats in the marina and pleasant grounds to walk around.
The only thing I wasn't wild about was how secluded it was. It was quite a drive to get to anywhere we wanted to go. If you are staying here and plan to go around Door Co., be sure you plan to be gone all day. This isn't a place you can easily come back to in the middle of the day to have a rest. If you had a boat, this place would be great to go from town to town in your boat and then just return to your hotel.
I would definitely stay here again. The price was nice compared to other area accommodations and the room was WONDERFUL.
