The campground and amenities are good. There is a lot of activities for the family. Our reservation showed a 3pm check in time. After driving 3.5 hours with our 4 year old and 5 month old, we arrived at 3:10 and were told the office is closed until 4pm and we couldn't check in until then. Upon check in we find out there was a glitch in their booking system and they gave our campsite away. We were assigned a different site. Not the biggest deal as we were excited to be there. The reason for the 1 star is the young lady in the office was absolutely horrible and rude. There weren't any sites available so we were assigned an off-grid "ghost site" with no site# or fire pit. It was basically go to the end of the campground and back the rv up to the bathroom building. I went back to the office and asked if anything else was available. The young lady went absolutely berserk and threw a fit. She appeared so stressed out and snapped instantly. There was an older woman in the office who was very nice, calm, apologetic and trying to work out alternatives while that young lady was basically yelling over her shoulder with a nasty attitude. I understand sometimes things happen and I usually try to "go with the flow", but it was the most unprofessional, embarrassing and shocking thing I have experienced in my life. One of the reasons we chose this campground was because of the great reviews. Over the last few weeks, I've noticed other reviews are echoing the same experience we had. We didn't let her ruin our weekend, but it was a colossal disappointment the way we were treated. Stay somewhere else where they are happy to have you there.

After several years since we last visited we decided to retry Horror Village. This place really has the potential to shine but it fell short on so many levels. Thursday check in we were met with snobbish attitude from our teen office staff. It was slow and things went south from there. Our site hadn't been cleaned nor had the fire pit been emptied with a nasty pile of ash cigarette butts next to the pit. Skoal Tabaco pouches were all over the lawn along with cigarette butts, plastic bottle caps. I guess if your not a property owner or seasonal guest you get the steerage or 3 class treatment. We are in favor of people having a good time and letting their hair down but at night the amount of drunkenness was over the top. My wife was verbally sexually accosted by a group of men while walking our dog and the fact campers who saw and heard what was said did nothing to help her. That night we began to pack and leave. Beware of the flashy pictures and fancy webpage. IMHO you'd be better off anywhere but this joint. NEVER EVER AGAIN

Don’t let the name fool you. There is no harbour to see. This camp ground offers several amenities but with limited available time to use. We arrived at 4:15 on day of check in and were meet with a note on the door to the office stating to call the security officer to check in. After a quick call was told would have to wait till office opens at 10 am the next morning and to just set up our camp site for the night. We had hoped to use the pool the first night but were also told that it closed at 6 pm but we would need our wrist bands and would have to wait till am to receive these. Our camp site was listed as a rustic site and that it was. It was basically a tree covered area that had some cleared ground to place the tents. The fire ring was just that a ring no grate surface to cook over. Thankfully we brought our s’mores sticks to make hotdogs on. With the main office closed getting firewood required a trip to town to find some. Definitely would recommend renting a golf cart to get around since the shower houses are very spread out. These also have limited hours of use. They are each closed an hour in The am and at night for cleaning. Trash disposal was an issue too, according to the info sheet they pick up campsite trash twice a week. But on trash pick up day we saw no one come around to get it. We had to drive it to the dumpsters on the other side of the grounds ourselves. Seemed to be run for the most park by teens. Especially at the arcade area, very disjointed rental process too for the mini golf, bikes and other equipment. Life guards seemed more interested in there phones then the pool safety. For the price of our stay we got what we paid for. Definitely could use some upgrade to the property. Location is easy to get to, just north of sturgeon bay as you head toward Egg Harbour. Several wineries and distillery close by.

We have been going to Harbour Village for a few years now. Started with a week stay 6 or 7 years ago ended up in an annual Labor Day weekend stay. The showers are clean and free. The sites, although we thought were too small at first, end up being just perfect. We have been on sites 99, 100, 104, 105, 108 and 109. All wooded, lots of shade. Again, very narrow and feel small at first. The double twisty slide is great. The first few years we went the hot tub was not working but this year it was. Very nice to have the Pennisula Winery nearby and of course all the other door county things to do. Awesome time. I also think we liked site 126 although we haven't stayed on that one before.

The whole staff group tried to scam us by braking the golf cart windshield that we had rented from them and then when we had left they called us and said we have to pay 500$ for the broken windshield that we quote on quote broke

The first site we were assigned was too tight to back into, but had no problem getting a corner site with better access. Bathrooms were very clean. Water park was a bonus. The only complaint I have is kids riding bikes taking short-cuts through sites, and not paying attention to their surroundings. I saw several near misses of kids riding bicycles, popping onto the road from vacant campsites, rounding corners without stopping or even slowing to look for vehicles. I'd hate to see someone get hurt.

First, I was blown away by the amount of activities/attractions within the campground. Two pools (one warm, one cold) and a fresh pond with beach, human foosball, rental soft bow & arrows for kids to play with, basketball courts, basketball/trampoline 1v1 thing, theater, etc. Second, our cabin was immaculate. I was a bit disappointed at first because we found out we had to bring our own cooking utensils, towels, bedding, etc. But then I thought about how many nasty cabins we've stayed at in campgrounds over the years, and I would much rather bring our own items for cleanliness and peace of mind. That being said, the place was uber-clean and very modern. I know the cabin is newer, but still, it was impressive. Third, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the families in the area were accepting. That's not always the case for cabin-stayers (outsiders). We will definitely come back if we decide to camp in the area, no doubt.

This is the  most disappointing RV park we have ever stayed in, and we have been RVing for 20 years.  The man who checked us in,  told us we will have to pay an extra $10.00 since it was not ‪3:00‬, it was ‪2:20‬. Our mistake was paying and not leaving.  We stayed since we had already paid over $100.00.  Our total bill ended up being over $200.00 for 4 nights.  He then told us all of the ways we could be fined, not having the car tag in our car, not wearing the arm band, etc. We were then given a map to get to our spot.  We had trouble finding our spot.  When we asked for help, he told us to look at the map, he had it marked.  He was very rude and impatient.  When we got to our spot a broken table was in the way.  My husband had to get out and move the table.  We then discovered that none of the sites had sewage or WiFi, and this is advertised as  a resort   So, it is a resort without sewage..  Before my husband was able to hook up the power, the security guards were questioning him about how long we were staying and wanted to see our car tag.  That was definitely not done in a friendly welcoming way.  We had weeds, large sticker plants, spaghetti on the ground, guess someone dumped their spaghetti water with spaghetti still in the pot, ,and a fire pit needs to be cleaned up.  I assumed when we had to pay the extra $10.00 they cleaning up our site.  We stayed here  4 nights with a broken unusable table.   It is a shame, rude employees and  neglected unkept grounds.

Sites are nice, but tight. We had site 126 and camped in a 32 ft class c. The location was good for walking access to the pool and other amenities. If you are at the back, you will want to drive a car, bikes or golf cart to the pool etc bc this campground is huge. The pool and water slides were nice. The hot tub and bathrooms by the pool were not working while we were there. They have portapotties near the playground and jumping pillow. The campground is not near anything else so you will need a car to go anywhere. We would stay again.

This year I decided instead of going out of state for our family vacation we would go camping in Door County (which is a VERY lovely area in Wisconsin). Even though this was our first time at the campground, booking and checking in were very easy to do. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and had a beautiful pond view out the living room/kitchen window. There were things to do for everyone regardless of age. The swimming pool with the two large slides were definitely a hit with the kids. For us adults, we enjoyed sitting out at the campfire and playing horseshoes. It is also very close to Door Peninsula Winery, so one afternoon my S.O. and I walked there to do a tasting. The next day we played mini-golf and borrowed their family bikes. I plan to book our family vacation there again next year.
