BEDBUGS Complete dump. But the worst part was,I'm full of bedbug bites. Yep. No doubt about it. Six of us were in town for a race and it was the only place left with rooms many months ago. We even checked a bed for them. All three rooms reaked. Shower curtains were all super smelly and gross. So we had them changed. Carpet was repulsive. And the list goes on and on. I've contacted them and they can't be bothered to respond

We stayed here the last weekend in July at the rate of $125.10/night. The pool is not available, there is no elevator and the front desk is unmanned. A poor beginning. Ring the bell, wait til someone emerges from the bowels of the place and get checked in. That was the last time we saw any hotel personnel. The hallway and stairway carpeting is so dirty that I suspect it is unsanitary for bare feet. That is solved by the fact that there is no functional pool. Breakfast is very limited, cereals, waffles, packaged muffins, yogurts and coffee. Our room was not bad considering that I was expecting we were not going to stay at all after seeing the hallway and stairs. Old carpeting, chipped furniture. I drawer was wide open in the room the first time we entered. The room had not been recently vacuumed as there were small paper pieces, and lint and thread on the carpet in front of the TV and on both sides of the bed. There was a functional refrigerator. Since we were seldom in our room, and the bed was comfortable, we stayed. This is a Choice Hotel and it is a real disappointment. At best, at least in the current condition, it should be a Motel 6. The price for this stay was outrageous considering the price of the room and the lack of available amenities and poor condition of the facility. I see from these reviews that the manager is most apologetic in all the negative remarks. This does not cut it. This place should be closed until it is renovated to meet at least basic conditions of repair and cleanliness.

We arrived and left within 20 minutes. There were 3 pillows with blood drop stains, 1 of them also had a long hair still on it. The bathroom was clearly not cleaned. The bath tub still had hair in it, and the sink had little hairs from what appeared to be the aftermath of a man shaving his beard. The pool was not open, and was never disclosed prior to arrival. We were told that the CC would be charged after our stay, but we never actually stayed, so there should be no reason that my bank says there's a pending charge from Quality Inn. *Note that it has not officially been charged, but it is suspicious* The front desk didn't even question why we were wanting to cancel our stay. She simply looked down at her screen and said ok its canceled. I have learned to look at reviews prior to booking hotels; even with a well known name.

I have stayed in Quality Inns before and been satisfied. This is absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed in. Not just Quality Inn but of any hotel chain. It is incredibly dirty. The elevator doesn't work. The pool is closed. The lobby is closed so if you want to escape your room you can't even go there because it is only open to serve breakfast from 6-9 (I can only imagine what that "breakfast" is going to be). Embarrassing.

This property is very tired, worn out. The entrance is in the middle of an asphalt parking lot. Nothing green in sight. To get to my room I had to walk down a long hall, through a deserted party room with stacked up chairs, empty counters. The breakfast “room” is in the middle of the lobby, tiny tables and chairs and unappetizing pre-wrapped food. The TV is about 2x3 feet. The bed had one thin blanket; I had to take a second blanket from the other bed. Best Western should take a good look at this franchise.

Traveled to Door County and wanted a Choice Hotel to stay at. This was about the only one we could find. We had stayed here a couple of years ago and wanted to try it again. We were so very disappointed! Upon walking in, I noticed the rug in the entry way was very dirty. The receptionist was going to put us on the second floor and I told her that when we booked through Choice Hotels, the man told us we would be on the first floor. She was upset and said that they don't know the lay-out cause they aren't there. I said ok, but she insisted on changing our room to the first floor anyways. Walking down the hallway to our room, the carpeting was stained throughout, and dirty. In our room, it was not the cleanest either. I noticed alot of dust in corners, on outlets and the sprinker system. The curtain was torn pretty big and the quilt was torn too. Continental breakfast was very limited too. The pool was down, same as the last time we stayed, and not because of Covid, as it looked like it was being torn apart. We will not be staying here again. Price was way too high for what we got.

We took our two parakeets with us for a short vacation in Sturgeon Bay. We were glad that this hotel was "pet-friendly." Besides that, the manager and the staff people were great. The manager was a smart lady who wanted to make sure we were having a nice time. She was very professional also. She even took an interest in our birds, as did the housekeeper lady someone referred to as "Mom," who was very warm and friendly. She loved our birdies on first sight. The guests we met were friendly, too, in the morning at breakfast. There is a pool on site, but we didn't go swimming. The amenities were about average in terms of the looks, decor and physical attributes. The hotel met our needs, which the great service we received had a lot to do with. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend this hotel on the basis of the outstanding manager and the staff.

We let them know that they charged are credit card for an extra night we weren’t there and they still charged our credit card! Complete criminals and i have called them 4 times to request the money back with a different excuse each time. Please steer clear of these people…

***ATTENTION: DON’T EVER STAY HERE*** First off I travel frequently for business and have Diamond status at Choice Hotels and Best Western and I’m Spire at IHG. I average 100 nights in hotels per year and this is the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Shame on Choice Hotels for not dropping this location. I stayed one night at the Quality Inn Sturgeon Bay and I can guarantee you I’ll never stay there again and warn anyone considering to avoid at all costs. Stay at the Best Western as the rooms are always clean. I chose to stay at the Quality Inn during one of Choice Hotels “Stay Twice Earn a $50 Gift Card” promotions and it was in no way worth the reward. Upon arriving in my room I noticed the bathroom walls covered in mold and the bathroom floor filthy and covered in hair. The bed skirt and sheets were stained with bodily fluids. The hair and dead skin cells below the headboard was atrocious. Particle board desk and refrigerator cabinet were falling apart and water damaged. I was on the first floor and the window screen had a tear that was large enough for an adult to fit through. I can only speculate that it was left from either an intruder or previous guest escaping the filth. The room I was in apparently had an ant infestation issue as there was a Terro ant trap behind the chair. This location obviously doesn’t use a professional pest control service. The room had an awful musty stench too. I slept on top of the bedding as I wouldn’t crawl under the sheets. In the morning I covered the bathroom floor in towels as I wouldn’t step barefoot on the tile or carpet. I relayed all of this information to Choice Hotels and they never responded. This was the absolute worst hotel experience in my life. @Quality Inn Sturgeon Bay Management: Don’t bother responding to my review with your apologies that never get addressed. Rather spend the time needed to respond by doing something productive (e.g., scrub mold off a bathroom wall or vacuum).

Overpriced. Lacks amenities it advertises for. Lamps broken in the room. Inside of refrigerator was warm, even when turned up to max cool of 7. The freezer part was totally frosted over thickly. The pool and hot tub are closed "due to COVID", however, every other pool and hot tub in the area are open and it doesn't say anywhere that they are closed. You only find out once you get here. On top of that, the room cost $220+ a night with taxes and fees. We could have stayed somewhere else without a pool and hot tub for much less. So frustrating. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Upon further investigation of reviews from over three years ago… the pool was closed even then. So, they are lying when they say it is due to COVID.
