Don't know where the negative reviews come from. Condo type rooms. Huge living/kitchen area. Large bedroom. Unit was clean, bed/furnishings comfortable. Large spa in room. Two pools, one indoor, one outdoor, both heated. Lots of outdoor games. Desk staff went out of their way to accommodate. Only nitpick, no breakfast included. Otherwise, couldn't be happier with stay.

Our room needed a DEEP CLEANING, it’s dirty, tired & worn. Wi-Fi is terrible & almost nonexistent. Found dead buds on the carpet in the master bedroom. The baseboard register in the bathroom is disgustingly dirty. The recliner was horribly stained on both arms & the headrest. I lined it with pool towels so we could sit on it. The room next doors AC ran on & off all night, I could hear it humming thru the wall & hardly slept

The clerks at reception are wonderful and offer boundless information about Door County Events, activities, and restaurants. The suite had very dirty and worn out furniture and bedding. The carpet was quite stained and appeared to have burn spots. The whirlpool tub was very old and dirty. We overlooked a parking lot, so our view was not appealing. It was disappointing to be in a space where you didn’t want to sit on the tattered and dirty furniture. There is no housekeeping during your stay here.

One of the best hotels I've been at on vacation. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and had a lot of amenities! They have an indoor and outdoor which is also a plus! We will be staying here again!

We got a two bedroom suite. The price was reasonable. The staff was friendly. Plenty of parking. Good location in walking distance of down town. The place is slightly dated but I don’t come to Door County and expect a modern design.

I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews and I guess we really hit the jackpot with our two bedroom condo. It was spotless! Yes, the bedspreads were heavy and outdated but easy to fold up and store away in favor of a lighter bed covering which we had brought along. We enjoyed the large bathrooms and jetted tub. I brought a fan as I stayed in the room w/out an ac and I was just fine. Overall it was a most pleasant experience, the employees were all friendly and upbeat and we look forward to booking the same unit for the same week next year.

Nothing has been updated in this hotel in at least 20 years. The carpet is flat and stained and filthy, the furniture and bedding is old and faded, and the room smelled musty and like old people. There were pubic hairs in the bathtub, our baby dropped her pacifier and upon immediately picking it up off the carpet it had someone else's hair on it and there were massive spiderwebs with dead bugs in the corners of two rooms. Thankfully maintenance was quick to come clean it up. A family member in the room across the hall constantly had silverfish coming out of the shower drain. There is no daily housekeeping service. The outdoor pool hadn't been cleaned out all summer as there was muck surrounding the floor around all the edges and the water wasn't clear. Also, all staff leaves at 9pm so if you lock yourself out, because you have a legit key not a keycard, you can't get in until the next morning. The owners haven't put a penny into updating this resort, or into keeping it maintained and clean and tidy. However, the outdoor and indoor pool and hot tub is a nice feature for kids, and it's an easy walk to downtown Sister Bay. We will never stay here again though. Very disappointed.…

We had a pleasant stay at the Scandinavian! The lodge is a bit out of town (not easily walkable to Sister Bay) and quite basic, but the staff was welcoming and helpful, and our condo was clean and updated. Plenty of space for our family of four. The indoor pool is fairly large, and there's a kiddie pool, too. We would certainly consider returning!

We visited Scandinavian Lodge at Sister Bay during the off-season (December). Very quiet, It was very enjoyable, and we are already talking about going back. Great front desk staff. A nice pool area with heated jacuzzi pool, & sauna. There is also a separate room where very young children can have some fun in a shallow pool with parent supervision. In the lobby there is internet access. Our room was great. Large dining /living room area with fireplace as well as a well-equipped kitchen. Also had a jacuzzi tub. They can expect a return trip from us.
