I was very impessed when I entered the spacious breakfast area to hear Service Staff offering to get my younger brother a drink expressing all the options. She then quickly acknowledged my presence & ask how my sleep was. So kind.. Thank you Kathy! Very spacious with hot food & plenty of on the go choices. I personally enjoyed the perfectly crisp pototo bites to go with my scrambled eggs & buscuits & gravy. I stayed with a group of 7 & there was something for everyone with no disappointments. Pancake lovers, all u need to do is a push a button & 2 perfect fluffy pancakes pop out on your plate with no cup/ batter mess on the counter. Coffee drinkers.. No need to bring creamer, they have u covered there, too! The environment is beautiful & I definitely enjoyed relaxing by the fire in quiet common areas.

I stayed here for three nights for a family reunion. Check-in was fast and easy even when I arrived at this hotel at 2:30 A.M. Upon entering the hotel I loved the Northwoods themed decor and my room's proximity to the ice maker on the 3rd floor. The beds were really comfortable, not too firm or not to soft as were the pillows. Breakfast wise the breakfast spread was pretty decent, I especially liked how they had a flapjack maker which I like over the more common Belgian waffle irons since they take less time to cook. Of course the biggest draw for me and choosing this hotel was the indoor/outdoor swimming pool area. The swimming pool was the only thing that was indoor/outdoor and was really decent, the hot tub on the other hand was indoor only and was absolutely enormous. It was so large you could really almost call it a second swimming pool especially since at one end the hot tub was 2 feet 8 inches deep and went down to 3 feet deep, whereas the indoor/outdoor swimming pool only went down to 5 feet deep in the middle where the pool narrows to near the wall between the indoor section and outdoor sections. In general I really liked this hotel, It is a hotel that is wildly different (some pun intended.) from the more boring boxes off the freeway in Onalaska. I will definitely be back again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night when we came to visit LaCrosse. I loved the rustic look through out the inside of the hotel. Our room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The pool was pretty neat there’s an opening in the indoor pool to the outdoor pool that was even open in November. The breakfast was alright. They served scrambled eggs, sausage, toast and pancakes for the hot items. Cereal, fruit yogurt and muffins for cold items.

We had a one-night stay as part of a family road trip around Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We previously lived in the La Crosse area and always heard great things about Stoney Creek, so we were excited to stay here.
Overall, we were extremely disappointed and frankly, parts of the property and our room could only be described as gross. Our two-bed room on the lower level had mold on the ceiling, peeling wallpaper, and a musty smell. The bathroom door would not close unless you put your shoulder into it. The room felt very damp.
The kids were excited for the pool - the pool area was absolutely disgusting. It’s an “indoor-outdoor pool,” but the indoor pool area had large spiders all over the walls, and there were three frogs and all sorts of bugs swimming around the indoor part of the pool (we rescued the frogs and put them outside). The water felt slimy and clearly is not being treated at appropriate levels if frogs were swimming around living their best life.
At checkout, we were not even asked how our stay was. It is very clear maintenance/upkeep is not a priority here. Even outside, all of the landscaping is overrun with weeds. For $210 for one night, this was an awful experience. We would not return.

Extremely soft and springy beds. If you like ultra soft and bouncy beds, this is the place for you.
The bar is…open—kind of. Advertised hours are until 11:00 weeknights, but they close if there is not a crowd; fair enough, but perhaps mention that the hours are flexible. While I’m commenting on the bar hours it may be worthwhile describing the bar staff attitude. In a word: dismissive. I suppose it is good to have a job where one doesn’t have to care what people think.
Free breakfast. Sysco Food Systems cheapest product. For the price of the stay this may be standard fare, so I’ll weigh this item as neutral in the overall score.
In today’s America (Dec 14, 2023) this is what the country has become, mediocre. Prices are high, service is low. Excuses abound. I’m giving three of five stars which is above average, slightly. If you are a discerning consumer that works hard for his money and is willing to pay for what he expects, this place is below average. If you’re just the Average Joe that makes excuses for your own poor performance then this is the place you accept.

The staff was great and responded to problems immediately but when spending more than $200 for the night, I expect the bathroom sink drain not to be clogged and there to be bath towels in the bathroom. The inside of the shower curtain has mold on it and it looked like a past guest had possibly been sick near the toilet with residue remaining on the the wall. While the cleanliness is unacceptable in "normal" times, we felt all the more uncomfortable in these COVID times. We experienced great difficulty finding a room in La Crosse on this particular weekend and were charged near double the advertised priced. I know it's supply and demand but this is not a $200.00 night room - a poor value.

Came back to La crosse for one of our first trips after covid. we used to stay here a lot when it first opened up not that long ago. It just isn't what it used to be. It looked tired and in need of spusing up. Frankly we were disappionted in our room. We could not get the coffemaker to work. The sink would not drain. The springs in the upostered chair were shot. There was no tissues and we had to ration what little tiolet paper we had for two days. altough the room was clean, there were other things that bothered us about the room in general. On the pus side, that had the best breakfast we've had at a hotel in years . Very good. They should really look into freshening there rooms and make sure things are ready for guests to stay their.

Overall it was a nice place and we’d stay again. Our room was on lower level/basement and smelled a bit musty. Our other room on 1st floor did not have this so would request 1st or 2nd floor if we stay again. Bathrooms are small and rooms show minor signs of age. Rooms, pool, and common areas were very clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special but filled us up. Staff is great. Every single person we interacted with from front desk to breakfast to a staff member we encountered in hallway were very friendly and helpful. The price was good compared to others in area so we were happy with our choice.

Beautiful room with an amazing view. We loved the in-room jacuzzi, fireplace and in suite living room. Very clean room. The breakfast had a large assortment even something for someone with a gluten intolerance. The bar on the lower lever was nice also. We had a great time. Thank you Stoney Creek.

Room was ok but it was not clean. Dust on top of lamps, headboards and coffee maker. Bedskirts were askew and we tripped over one. There was only one pod for the coffee maker, decaf. We don't drink decaf! There was no information in the room on how to get on the internet, time of breakfast, etc. Drain on sink was extremely slow.
