WOW! What a dream of a B&B experience. Not only is the home exquisitely decorated with thoughtful historic details, but the accommodations are impeccable and the hosts are warm and welcoming. We had a delightful conversation while I had breakfast and they even played the music of the artist I was in town to see! I would highly recommend Manderley for your stay in Milwaukee!

My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with our first BnB stay. The hosts were great, the house was beautiful, and breakfast was amazing. Cannot wait to go back again and we have shared this recommendation with several people already.

I surprised my mother for her birthday with a stay at the Manderlery Bed & Breakfast. She had never stayed at a B&B before, but after our time here, I'm sure this won't be the last! We were greeted by Marie and Andy (the owners) upon arrival, and were given a tour of the beautifully decorated mansion. It was hard to believe they completely gutted and redid the entire home years ago, but it is absolutely stunning. Andy also made most of the stained glass in the home, which are beautiful pieces of work! We stayed in "Sophie's Room", which was perfect for two people. We also enjoyed the little "amenities" closet, where we found some wine glasses and a good chick flick to watch later in the evening! Our breakfast the following morning was incredible, complete with homemade blueberry pancakes topped with crème anglaise, sausage, fresh fruit, zucchini bread, and coffee and tea. We also enjoyed a wonderful conversation during breakfast with one of the other couple staying there, as well as Marie & Andy. I was sad to leave such a beautiful home, but am happy to have stayed, and hope others come to experience the rich history and stunning decor of the Manderley mansion!

Owners Andrew and Marie have had their work cut out for them restoring this home ravaged by time and vandals before they started their work there. Andrew is a superb stained glass artists, and his work graces this B&B. Eclectic antiques are very nicely worked into the decor. The area of town is close to downtown and the river and many historic sites. The yard offers seating areas where you can relax in sun or shade while being watched by the outdoor cats. Our room was air conditioned, and we enjoyed the large whirlpool tub. Seating in the spacious room was a challenge with the loveseat made when people were shorter. Andrew is well-informed on all things antique, and is a gracious host. We wish them luck as they continue their restoration of this home and the one next door.

We have stayed at the Manderley Inn on two separate occasions and it always exceeds our expectations, even after touring the Pabst Mansion, we weren't disappointed! The home is lavishly decorated in antiques and makes you feel as if you stepped back in time. The owners are wonderful and their hospitality makes you feel like an old friend. The breakfasts are always great, too. There are many little extras that we enjoy as well that most places don't offer. After staying at many bed and breakfasts we agree that this one is top-notch in hospitality, good breakfasts, and beautiful atmospere and would recommend it to anyone heading to Milwaukee!

We had booked here due to reviews. We drove up and were amazed at how shabby the building looks. Nothing like in their pictures. Weeds and overgrown yard. Paint peeling from windows. Neighborhood transitional at best and nowhere near downtown as described on Expedia. We were booked for two nights and asked for one night refund due to how disappointed we were but we were denied. They just state the law is on their side. We ended up at a different hotel. Not sure if all other positive reviews are from people who have stayed there and maybe right now is an anomaly but certainly did not live up to the expectations as advertised.

I stayed at the Manderley recently. It was a treat, a wonderful experience. I was in Milwaukee for work but returning there every evening and having breakfast there every morning made my free time a vacation.

Andrew and Marie have re-created an authentic Victorian mansion of 130 years ago in a rapidly reviving part of Milwaukee that you can stay in now, surrounded by the luxuries that prosperous families enjoyed then: beautiful, sumptuous lighting, paneling, moldings, furniture, draperies, carpets, tableware, paintings, stained-glass; and flowers everywhere, inside and out.

And Marie serves very possibly the best breakfasts you'll have all year. She is a total artist with a wonderful repertoire of breakfast pastries, and recipes for the fresh eggs from their chickens, fresh orange juice and delicious coffee, all presented gorgeously in their elegant dining room. Every evening Marie puts a batch of freshly-baked, superb cookies out for the enjoyment of the guests.

I’ve stayed in plenty of 4 and 5-star hotels. I prefer the Manderley. Marie and Andrew are very nice, interesting people who genuinely appreciate their guests, anticipate their every need (without the extra charges that now are so widespread), enjoy conversations with us, and enjoy sharing their beautiful creation with us. Lucky us!

My wife and I were passing thru and had plans to attend a Brewers game. We arrived a few minutes early of check in time, but this was not a problem with Marie. Marie told us where our room was and showed us around the house explaining the renovation and history of the house. No one else was at the inn at this time so we were able to see all the rooms. (Side note: I don't see where you can go wrong with any room.) She then showed us where the drinks, irons, hairdryers and other needs were. The inn is well kept and Marie, very helpful. Breakfast was a very good home cooked meal with some of her "girls" eggs. There is off street parking on property. The neighborhood is very much on the upswing. We saw much renovation going on. As for the Brewers game, it only took us about 10 minutes to get to and from the game, on a Monday night (note I do like to get to the game at least one and a half hour before start, so it may take longer if you are a last minute person). Great stay. Come and enjoy.

I loved my stay at Manderley! The room had a hot tub! After a day in the cold wintery wonderland of Milwaukee, relaxing in the hot tub with a fire going was amazing. Andrew and Marie are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Breakfast was super tasty!!! It was my first time ever having fresh eggs and it definitely makes a difference! If you are going to Milwaukee, this is the place to be!

Manderley is a Gilded Age home that is furnished with all antiques. This home is obviously a passion for its owners and it shows. Once through the door we felt transported back in time. We spent two nights here and had an excellent experience. Luckily not everything was from the Gilded Age; our room had a fireplace, a hot tub, and all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was great and the hosts were welcoming and kind people. What more could you want?
