This is a no frills place with actual keys and no fancy bells and whistles. But it was less than other places and accepted dogs. $20 fee. Room seemed clean and beds were ok. Bathroom was small with no hooks or towel bars so nowhere to hang anything. Outside door was a pain to use key in and hold open at same time but better locked than not. Parking in front is tight so used back lot. No breakfast or coffee. Fine choice for a night. 2 senior ladies and dog.

The lady at the front desk was very welcoming. She offered ice and cups if we needed them. The inside of the building and room were clean and quiet. I did not understand how to use the two tv remotes so I called the front office. A gentleman offered to come and show me. He came right away to show me and asked how the room was. We slept well. I wish the pillows were fuller though. When we checked out in the morning the lady asked how we enjoyed our room. I would recommend this property.

I've spent a few nights here. It's the cheapest place in the town and it's noticeable why. The wash clothes ware as harsh as sandpaper (Litteraly was in pain after a shower), beds hard as a patted cardboard, water took forever to heat up and I never received the password for the Internet. At checkout I was asked if I had the room all cleaned up and then sent back to turn off the heat. Nothing for breakfast but a pot of coffee that was empty by the time I got to it. Though, like I said cheapest place in Marinette and beats sleeping in a car.

We were on our way to UP and needed a place to stay on our way there. Called that morning and everyone in the area was booked. Luckily the Budget Inn had two rooms available, a queen and two twins. We got the Queen. The owner (I believe he was the owner) was very nice on the phone and in person. I was not expecting much when I pulled into the parking lot but what I did get was a very clean room at a get price. It is notable that the price I was quoted over the phone included taxes which I was not expecting. The rooms are small but as mentioned, very clean. Everything down to the bath/shower was excellent. Even the caulking was clean - experience has taught me that this is an overlooked area for most hotels. The bed was comfy and the room was nice but small as mentioned. It is obvious that the owners take pride in their motel.

This is our second year staying here - Marinette is a good place for us to break up our long drive. You don’t stay a second time if it wasn’t good the first time! The service is friendly- the fact that it is family owned is apparent in how much they care for their place and their guests. Family lives on site! The rooms have been updated and you totally get your money’s worth! Comfortable beds, AC, updated bathrooms, TV, microwave etc. Easy walk to a number of restaurants and I my a bit over a mile walk to Main Street if you want to stretch or just explore. Had Mexican food at Cabanas, then walked downtown to have a beer at the Elks Club, a walk back to the Budget Inn and we were ready to call it a day.
The owner, remembered us from our one night last year. That’s the kind of place we will always return to.

By fat, the worst motel i have ever stayed in. Rooms stink, dark and dingy, didn't feel safe. They told me one rate when I checked in and then were going to charge me double when the kept pestering me to pay my second night into my 5 day stay (they had already photocopied my credit card info when I checked in). Very shady business. I was asked by another guest (?) if I had any "weed" or knew where to buy some. Shortened my stay from 5 nights to 2 nights (and would have left immediately if all the hotels in the area weren't booked).

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that’s in the area. The improvements since I last stayed here over a year ago are awesome. I really love how great they did the bathroom. It’s really home looking in the room. The carpets are cleaned and the beds are comfortable. If you need somewhere to stay, go there. And the owners are wonderful. They are really nice and helpful.

It is nice to see the improvements done since I last stayed. They have the usual coffee pot, fridge, microwave. Staff was very nice. Right across from 3 Brothers so you can just walk over for dinner and drinks. Definitely would stay again.

Stay here if you are looking for a manager that finds ways to charge you more money, never want your room cleaned, don't want any clean towels, never have your trash emptied, do I need to keep going. Stay anywhere else but at this dump.
