Came to town for fishing and thought this would be a great choice for lodging. Boy was I in for a surprise.. We should have left when upon entering we found a used bath towel hanging on the bathroom door. We proceeded to fishing and returned at around 10 Pm and got ready for bed…pulled back the bedspread and were horrified to take a look at the box spring and it looked like someone had gotten murdered in the room. Both box springs looked to have been smeared and splashed with blood. Needless to say several people spent the night in the car.

This property is nothing fancy---just a good, inexpensive "older" hotel that was probably built in the 1960s. Our room was clean, and had a patio walk-out view of Lake Michigan across the street. Being an older property, it was limited in the number of plug-ins available for computers, charging devices, etc., which we "worked around". (We always bring a power strip or two when we travel for situations like this. Even in the "name hotels", sometimes these are needed.) The room had a fridge. Front desk clerk (who may have been the property manager?) was helpful and friendly. They offered packaged pastries for breakfast, and had a juice machine. Again, nothing fancy---just nice. It was a good property to stay at, as choices in Kewaunee are really limited. Decent value for the cost. We'd stay there again.

Very comfortable for 2 active seniors and their bikes. It's right across from the harbor on Lake Michigan and the Ahnapee bike trail is outside your door. Plenty of other trails in the area, Kewaunee is a small, quiet community but has many good places to dine and explore. The hotel has everything you need although the decor is a bit dated.

Stayed here on a trip through Door county for a single night. Very Basic rooms which would be fine with us as we just needed a place to sleep. Wasn’t impressed. Room had a weird smell mix of staleness and over done scented cleaning products maybe? Only one outlet open to plug phone chargers or anything else into and it wasn’t near a bed. Photo of our harbor side view with a restaurant and gas station between.

If you’re going to a Packers game and looking for an inexpensive, clean place to stay, definitely check out this hotel. It’s about a 20 minute drive through the Wisconsin countryside from Green Bay and it’s a great price for a clean, fairly large room. Don’t want to drive that far to the game? They run a shuttle bus the day of the game. Compared to the exhorbitant prices you pay in town, this is a steal. There’s a bar/restaurant across the street if you’re looking for food or drinks (Packers fans don’t drink do they?) when you get back.

Room was clean, Some other reviews mention beds being low to the floor. This is true but I found them to be comfortable. This was an excellent location to relax at while I worked in the Green Bay area for a week. A beautiful little town with some nice hometown bars and restaurants. Wonderful harbor to enjoy some relaxation.

Located just north of Kewaunee downtown, most everything within walking distance. Nice looking from street but interior needs some work. The biggest issue we had was very uncomfortable bed-we travel a great deal and know we are in for a bad sleep when we hear the springs in the box spring mattress squeak and groan- and this one sang like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! While bathroom is large enough, the vanity is very small. Give me a decent bed and this would be a 4.

We made a reservation through Expedia...when we arrived at 10 p.m. we paid cash for a 2 night stay. Went to the room, there was a strong musty smell, carpets were stained and dirty. There was hair in the bathroom sink. Pulled back the covers to check for cleanliness...no bugs but the mattress pad they had covering the box spring had very noticeable stains, and the floor between the bed and wall was absolutely disgusting. There were even food scraps. It Looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in ages. My friend and I looked at each other and said “I don’t think so.” I went to the front desk told him, it was dirty and gross and we didn’t want to stay there. He said “OK” and handed back our cash no questions asked. We ended up driving to Green Bay for a room but having a clean room is well worth the extra drive.

This hotel gets a mixed review from me. It was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. There was a "new carpet" odor in the hall. We checked in, got a King bed for a decent rate considering it is a high traffic tourist area, and never saw anyone at the front desk again for the next 2 days. There was supposedly free WiFi but we couldn't access it for more than a minute or two before it kicked us out. We couldn't get anyone in the office or front desk to answer our call or help us. It was no big deal as we just used the room to sleep as we travelled the area each day all day long. The free breakfast was prepackaged muffins and rolls, coffee, and juice. There was oatmeal in packets with bowls but no milk to put on it. No pool or any other amenities of any kind, but the bed was comfortable, we slept well, and there was a nice view of the harbor. It was just a room which is all we needed, but very basic.

Booked room here since we wanted a king sized bed, not two queens. First, pros-nice location, easy walking distance to downtown. Place was clean and other than the vanity being small, bath was clean. Entire room appears to be recently updated. Now the con; the bed was not up to expectation. Once I saw how low to the ground and the bedspread, knew this to be a bed that has been around since the 1990's (I am a banker and have financed quite a number of these type of hotels-I know my way around them). This is a basic motel with few amenities; no pool, no game room, no breakfast. None of those appeal to my wife or me so for our purposes this hotel fits the bill. Now if they could only do something about that GD bed!!!
