This is a nice hotel. The basic room was small for a family of 4. The pool was nice. There is a restaurant but we didn't use. The staff was extremely pleasent. The hotel was very clean and sanitary. We would stay here again!
Holiday Inns aren't our normal hotel chain but we do stay at them from time to time. This one seems about average as HIs go. We were there for four days and in those 4 days we didn't receive any type of room attention - I understand most hotels are still using Covid as an excuse to keep from cleaning rooms (paying staff to do it) - but guests shouldn't have to empty trash when paying $300+ a night to sleep at a hotel. Another inconvenience for us was returning from the Packers game and at 8:30 being told the dining room wasn't offering food anymore that evening - though the sign said it was open until 10pm. People were in the area eating so they must have just stopped. This caused us to have to go out and find dinner, when we had planned to come back and be in for the evening.
We decided to stay here based on decent reviews online. Our stay wasn’t bad, but the hotel needs a deep cleaning and some updating. The carpets throughout the hotel were filthy. Our duvet was stained, and there was dirt built up in the corners of the room. The fitness center didn’t have wipes or cleaning spray stocked to clean off equipment. Staff was hit or miss. We had some very kind encounters and some apathetic front desk workers. You can get something better nearby for less.
We loved that there is a door between the living room and bedroom. There is a safe, coffee maker and fabulous bedding. The property is starting to seem a bit run-down, however. We wish that the wonderful coffee in the lobby included a decaf option instead of 2 regular coffee containers. Also, the bar and restaurant were closed in the afternoon/evenings during our visit - a fellow traveler (who stays there frequently) says this is not unusual.
We arrived for 5 night stay. There were no towels in our room, no soaps or lotions. After 3 days we ran out of coffee, cups and trash can was full. After inquiring at front desk, we were told there was no maid service. IHG - if you have no maid service at least you should stock the room for customers full visit and provide trash receptacles on each floor. I made multiple trips from the top floor to take out trash and restock supplies.
I decided to stay at this location verses the other in Green Bay Holiday Inn because of the better reviews. WRONG CHOICE! Not only does it look like there hasn’t been anyone to clean anything in months, the woman working the counter area was by far the rudest, nastiest woman in the customer service industry I’ve ever encountered. She called herself the general manager (Nicole was the name on the name tag) and her management skills obviously reflect the condition of the building, the cleanliness of the building and the horrendous customer service skills from the front desk to the maids to the bartenders and waitstaff. Her appearance was not only ratchet, so was her smell. After attempting to check into a room (there apparently wasn’t a clean room to be had at 5 o’clock in the evening) I couldn’t get out of the same area fast enough. I proceeded into the bar area and the bartender was chewing on her nails sitting on a stool and never even looked my direction. I ended up leaving until late in the evening and when I returned the room I was given was dirty - absolutely disgusting. After switching to an actual clean room (allegedly) I didn’t even look to see what the room looked like because I was exhausted from a long day of travel and just wanted to go to bed. The next day, the smelly general manager was yet again at the counter area and was talking about a former employee with another employee and that was enough for me. I went to my room, packed my belongings and went to the Delta Marriott across the street. This doesn’t portray the entire disaster of a stay, but I don’t have time to write a novel about a hotel I’ll never go to again. This entire location needs a revamping of the management staff. There’s obviously zero leadership to be had there.…
NO MASKS on front desk staff or housekeeping, even though TripAdvisor and their own elevator posters said they do. Housekeeping skipping next day service including towels etc does not protect me from COVID , it’s just a lazy excuse!! What WOULD protect me from COVID was if your staff wore masks like they should. Even fully vaccinated people can pass along COVID , especially with the current variant. Bring back every day housekeeping and require staff to WEAR a mask, like their own info said they do. Holiday inn stadium.
I try to find this chain when I travel; of course, the area of town matters, too. This was a great spot and close by everything I needed. The room was clean and the floor I was on was quiet. I love this chain, too, because they have small fridges for snacks, if needed. Again....good job👍🏼
Every single employee we met was genuinely nice, responsive and helpful. Our room was spotless. We took advantage of the computer, printer & scanner available to guests to complete important business (thank you!) at no charge. Our room was very comfortable. The bed was just perfect (we slept REALLY well). We loved having a Keurig in our room. Importantly there is also a safe (thank you). We felt very well taken care off and were stunned at what a great place this is at a very reasonable price. This will now be our first-choice to stay at in Green Bay (we are here a lot)
Great hotel, clean, very nice room. The service was incredible at check in and the staff went well out of their way to make sure my experience was great. Hands down Best hotel in Green Bay and probably the best Holiday Inn in the country.
