I had a king room and it was very large. Decor was nice although the room and hotel itself are a bit dated. Everything was clean and in working order. I stayed New Year's Eve and party hats and horns were left on the bed upon my arrival. The staff was personable and friendly. It's conveniently located near St. Brendan's Inn and the Meyer Theatre. I rated the hotel a four overall as the place was packed with people and at times was extremely noisy. There were several family potluck dinners going on in the pool area and the pools were filled with kids. I had some very loud and rude people in the room next to me and called the front desk at 4:00 AM about the noise. The receptionist said he would talk to them. I'm not sure if he did or not, as the noise never diminished. I called again about 30 minutes later, and then a few minutes later, I definitely heard the desk clerk and guests talking. After much slamming of doors multiple times and more yelling, they moved to a room further down the hallway and away from me. The hot breakfast was very nice and the attendant working that morning was friendly and pleasant.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the end of June. We had a suite on the first floor with a living area, kitchenette, and bedroom with two queen beds. Room 142. Being on the first floor was convenient for traveling with small kids (stroller) as there are lots of exits to the back parking lot and we were just down the hall from the pool. It was not noisy at all. Unfortunately, lots of people smoke in the parking lot and with wall the fan/A/C unit exchanging air right next to them, the room smelled heavily of smoke. It also appears that the hotel has some longer term 'tenants' who spend a decent amount of time smoking outdoors, so it is possible that our room was previously occupied by one of these residents. The kitchette was not well supplied. If you are planning to use it, I'd recommend bringing dish soap, scrubber brush l, towel, paper towels, knife, cutting board, and any bake ware you might need. I'll include a photo of what was inside the cabinets.

The room itself appeared to be well surface cleaned (vacuumed, fresh bedding, bathroom cleaned, tables/counters wiped), but just had this feeling of needing a deep clean. Maybe it was the obvious contrast of dirty grout in high traffic areas, or the dirty knees/hands my kids got from crawling on the carpet. We had requested one of the free cribs that the hotels provide, which was a pack and play. It was revolting. No sheet was provided for it and the mat that used to have a white background was a brownish yellow. The mesh walls were also heavily stained. I'm confident that thing had never been cleaned. The hotel pool also felt dirty. The main pool tiles were in need of a good scrub. There was a layer of grey scum just above the water level around the perimeter as well as sections in the shallow end that had green algae in the grout. Even some areas on the atrium floor where the water pooled were green with algae.

The hotel location is great, with lots of parking. All the staff that I'd interacted with were fantastic. The breakfast had a decent selection and was regularly being replenished. There was scrambled eggs, sausage or biscuits/gravy, cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffle maker, juice, mini donuts, mini muffins, bread and bagels. Coffee in the lobby.

We stayed for 2 nights for a dance competition. The front desk was very accommodating in changing my room from a king bed to a 2-queen room, which was what I’d reserved but not been assigned. Our room (#172) ended up being conveniently located to a door right next to where we parked. The room was a basic room, with a microwave and mini-fridge. It seemed reasonably clean. However, our bathroom smelled the entire stay as if someone was smoking right in it. We do not smoke and do not want to be in an area with smoke in it, so this was very off-putting. It was very confusing, as there was no room adjacent to where our bathroom was, but it was potent nonetheless. For future patrons, please remedy this situation. It’s pretty disgusting. Another less bothersome issue was vast amounts of noise from the pool area, which is open to many rooms. I don’t know what could be done to rectify this, but if you are not participating in pool activities, it would definitely be preferable to not hear it (LOUDLY) for an extended amount of time. The refrigerator also seemed to be more of a freezer, no matter what setting we had it on. We had 6 bottles of water and some fresh fruit that all turned to solid ice.

We are so sorry about the smoke smell. We are a none smoking hotel but did find that the room directly above you was smoking in their bathroom and the exhaust fans share a venting system. We have taken care of that. The fridge has been replaced. As for the pool area being loud that can happen and we recommend guests that do not participate in those activities ask for the main section of the hotel. We will work hard to ensure problems like this do not happen in the future.

Stayed two nights. The first night was good. The second night was not. On the second day we were in our room with the “do not disturb” sign on the door. My spouse went out to pick up food and I stayed in the room to change clothes. A few minutes later the room door opened while I was standing in the middle of the room changing clothes. To my surprise it was not my spouse but a housekeeper that let herself into the room. We were both surprised and she saw more of me than she ever should have…. I told her to get out and she left. I immediately called the front desk to repot the incident and asked for a manager. I was told a manager would call me. My spouse came back with food and stopped at the front desk as a manager still had not called me yet. The front desk person said the “issue has been resolved” and no manager was needed. Well, the issue was not resolved so we called corporate to report everything.

Corporate listened to what happened and worked to resolve it. Since the front desk staff would not contact a manager on our behalf, corporate did. Corporate was very concerned about what had happened and continued to apologize. It took over two hours of our time to get a resolution and the resolution was only because we contacted corporate. The local hotel staff did nothing to resolve the issue and blocked us from speaking with a manager.

While we will continue to remain with the “Choice Hotels” rewards program and stay at various properties around the country, our experience with this specific hotel and its staff left us feeling our safety was not their priority. A “budget hotel” does not mean guest safety is optional.

Our youth conference has used this hotel now for around 18 years as an overflow hotel to the KI convention center downtown Green Bay. Deb and their staff do an excellent job of taking care of your needs. The rooms are comfortable and remodeled, the breakfast is excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Green Bay. They have a wonderful pool and whirlpool area and game room for kids.

My wife and I stayed 1 night. We chose this location, as we wanted a place close to the very nearby bike trail. Check in, and check out, was great. I really liked this place. I enjoy the old school hotels. Imagining how in its day it was quite fancy. We did not use the pool, or hot tub, but the area was a classic. And quite large. Our upstairs room was huge. It looked good, and smelled good. It was clean. The beds were comfy. Breakfast was pretty good. The breakfast attendant lady was very nice. In the morning we checked out, asking the front desk clerk if we could leave our car parked in the lot while we rode the fox river trail. No problem! We had a wonderful visit. If the price was right again, I would certainly return.

Shut this place down! Dirty and disgusting. Carpet was filthy, sheets were thin. I asked for a clean blanket and laid it on top of the bed. That’s how I slept. I’m afraid I might go home with a disease. Don’t stay here!!! Non smoking room smelled like smoke. So gross!

This hotel is a mixed bag. The customer service was excellent, as was the breakfast. The location is convenient to many local shops and restaurants. My room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large and clean. I had a nice sized fridge and a microwave. However, the building is very, very old and looks it. The hall where my room was located is in need of (bright) new paint, new carpet, and better lighting. My room was dim and kind of depressing. The hard flooring was dark, the room really needs fresh paint, and the lamps need higher wattage light bulbs. There was a ceiling mounted light fixture but it was old, yellowed and dirty, and the bulbs were low wattage, so it didn't help very much. The furniture also looked quite old. The TV was excellent but be aware that local networks are not available (or I couldn't find them). Renovate and spruce up this place and it's 5-star, easy. If old and dark doesn't bother you, I highly recommend it. If you need bright and cheery, you may want to look elsewhere.

Yes, the Quality Inn & Suites has 12 newly renovated "Pet Friendly" rooms. The reason we keep pets in a special area is for low traffic to prevent disturbing the animals and to keep other rooms allergy free for guest that cant handle animal dander. A one time $10 fee is charged for each pet regardless of the length of stay up to 30 days.

Shuttle to Lambeau Field: Yes the city metro system on game day. Smoking rooms: No, the state of Wisconsin does not allow smoking in hotel rooms. I called and talked to the hotel directly about both of your questions. I hope that helps.
