This is the third time we have stayed here. Prices went up while amenities went away. This place no longer offers housekeeping. We don't miss the fact that they did away with the Continental breakfast. At first we were told that COVID was the main reason for no housekeeping but, I then read on the website that it was no longer offered, as well as the front desk person affirming the fact. Except for no masks being required, their COVID procedures have not changed one iota since March of 2020. We are contemplating whether we will return or not. BTW, don't expect to get into the restaurants of your choice. Lots of choices but sparse parking, be it Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Sister Bay or Bailey's Harbor. This area has been overwhelmed and crazy for two years now. This year was of no fun trying to eat out. REDICULOUS! $200 per night with no housekeeping, NO MORE!…
My mom, I and daughter stayed at the B-8 condo. This is the first time we have stayed at this establishment and had an excellent stay. From the moment we checked into until the end of our stay. Kim at the front desk was absolutely pleasant and very welcoming. She even checked in on us the evening before her left for the evening because we couldn’t find the sheets to the pull out couch which we located. This place is a hidden gem! Location was fantastic which was located right next to the State Park which is a group of condos located behind Julie’s cafe/motel and The Homestead. There was a bike rental and Julie’s cafe within very short walking distance. It was very clean, spacious and it had a deck below on the lower level with sitting off the bedroom and another deck off the main floor with two chairs. The outdoor pool was maintained very well and very clean and we there also is another indoor pool in the hotel. It was a quiet stay. Bedroom’s we’re pretty comfortable and the lower level has a updated larger shower than the up stairs. There were pots, pans and dishes and all the kitchen essentials needed. Full size refrigerator, stove and microwave also. There is a gas fireplace which is great to have on cooler evenings. Two rotating chairs and a pull out sofa sleeper. This was truly a fantastic stay which I highly recommend staying at!…
My husband and I stayed here with our two small children and had an absolute blast! The room was pristine and very spacious and the hot tub/ pool areas inside and out provided hours of fun. This is the perfect location to be able to park your car and not have to use it again until you leave. We brought bikes and strollers so spent a lot of time exploring peninsula state park which has an entrance right by the resort. Lots of restaurants and shops made the stay easy and convenient. You can really tell that they take pride in this property which can be seen with all of their hard work to keep everything in prime condition and hiring amazing staff. We can't wait to go back!
Stayed back in November and again this month (April 2022) When booking both times I spoke with front desk person Carol. What a positive experience. Can't say enough about how the rooms are squeaky clean, front desk people are accommodating and professional plus the hotel's location is close to everything.
Facility was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Very quiet. We had a whirlpool suite which was nice, but a couple things took away from our enjoyment. The fireplace was very nice but the timer on it was very loud and took away from the "relaxing by the fire" vibe we were hoping for. The refrigerator was also quite noisy. Overall it was a nice stay and a nice/clean place
We hadn’t stayed here in a few years but were just as pleased as in the past. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and Peninsula State Park. The rooms are impeccable and the evening host is personable, friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you.
Folksy slow atmosphere, so there was a line to check in as every person got chatted up at the desk, The rooms were clean and simple. The beds were comfy, the bathroom functional. There was a small microwave and a large mini-fridge and coffee making materials. The TV was pixelated on most stations, but we weren't there to watch TV. The WiFi was weak and sporadic, so we couldn't use a tablet either. There was a balcony on our room looking over the parking lot and Highway 42, but since traffic falls to almost nothing at night, it wasn't noisy until morning.
We had a great weekend stay for our 19 year anniversary. Our room was very clean and the hotel is in a great location. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean and at good temperatures. The staff was friendly. We will definitely be back. Thank you : )
We stayed here on our first visit to Door County. Pluses are that it's conveniently located and quiet (although, as we learned, pretty much everywhere is quiet in Fish Creek!). We were quite disappointed that the rain shower (there are two heads in the shower, one in the usual position, one directly overhead) was a bust. There wasn't enough water pressure to allow you to use both shower heads at the same time. We wished we'd sprung for a hot tub room. Other things: The bed was too hard and we didn't sleep well. What I mean by "not very lush" in the title is that the usual extras aren't there in this hotel -- biggest example being a lack of hair conditioner. I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel of any star rating that didn't provide this basic. I asked for some and was simply told "no." I asked where I could buy some and was told to go to the gas station - ?? It wasn't a terrible stay, but we would certainly not stay here again. …
Overall we had a good stay. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The coffee in the room is great. Our only suggestion would be softer beds. They were uncomfortable to sleep in.
