We recently spent a night at Ephraim Shores Resort after not having been there for +20 years. Joella at the front desk could not have been more pleasant or helpful, providing good answers to all of our questions. We had a bright, cheery, comfortable room with a sitting area, a great bed, a clean bathroom, and a deck overlooking Green Bay. During the evening our TV went out; Brenda, who was then at the front desk, immediately came to our room. She had the hotel's maintenance guru on the phone and in about three minutes she fixed the television. The hotel's setting and landscaping are great, within walking distance of several of the things we wanted to do and see. We will not wait another 20 years to return.
First time to Door County and I’m so glad we picked here to stay. Ephraim is right in the middle of all the quaint areas of Door County. This hotel/resort was perfect for us. Such a great location. Check in was quick and the staff was so so friendly. Our room was perfect! We stayed on the 2nd floor in a King room with a small kitchenette and a large sitting area. Our small balcony looked straight at the water. Enjoyed drinking coffee out there every morning. The room was large and super clean. The bed was comfortable and the linens were too. There is an indoor pool and a playground if you have small children. There is also a restaurant on site. Across the street is a reserved area for watching the sunsets. There are loungers and Adirondack chairs for relaxing in. Such a great place to watch the sun go down! We had a wonderful 5 days staying here and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Ephraim Shores for your wonderful hospitality!! Well done!! 🤗…
Very clean and friendly. Fantastic location just across the road from the bay. Great waterside seating area to kick back and enjoy. Built “back in the day”, it lacks an elevator to access upper rooms and the handy cafe/restaurant above the petite lobby. Generously-sized rear facing rooms open directly out onto a parking lot for easy access. Front rooms offer a wonderful view of the bay. The whole is obviously striving to be kept up-to-date with things like new bathroom fixtures, Wi-Fi, and convenient electronics charging stations. Will go back!
Great location with unobstructed view of the bay. Private "beach" is perfect place to relax and watch the sunset. Rooms are large and seem recently renovated. This will be our go-to place to stay in Door County.
We stayed here 3 nights. Couldn't ask for a better location in Ephraim -- right on the water with a nice little beach and dock area. We walked to restaurants each night and could easily drive to other areas of the peninsula for sight-seeing. The rooms, while a bit dated, were incredibly clean and comfortable. We had a king suite with kitchenette, with plenty of room to spread out. The price was very reasonable for the location and time of season. The upstairs restaurant was super-convenient and had delicious perch. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!
The Ephraim Shores Resort is located 5 minutes from Peninsula State Park and in easy driving distance to other Door County towns and recreational areas. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the waterfront is right across the street. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. The town of Ephraim was busy, but not as crowded as Sister Bay up the road. When we return to Door County we will stay at Ephraim Shores again
Perfect choice in Ephraim. Large, clean room. Large bathroom also!!! Unobstructed view of water. We were on 2nd floor. No elevator, but we did not mind. No restaurant, but we did not mind. Friendly staff. Price was excellent value.
One of the best places we have stayed in. We come every year, if not twice to enjoy Door County. I Wished I had found this gem sooner. We were here for our anniversary for a weekend getaway, unfortunately we had an unexpected situation arise and had no choice but to leave early. The owners were gracious enough to understand our situation and work with us. This place has to be as great as we think..here's why..just tried to book in March or April next year and they are already sold out. Btw..if you ever want to see Door County in its prime, come in the spring. That's when you see it's soul. No crowds, easy living, meet the locals and enjoy life. Good times. I have been coming here for 20 years. If you ever read bad reviews about Door County, they are right too. It's because they come from the wrong people, at the wrong time and with ungodly expectations. They have a fantasy and miss the dream.…
My first time to Door County and what I really had my heart set on was a room overlooking the water. My husband had been here before but left it up to me to choose where to stay. We had a 2nd floor water view room and it was perfection. Exactly what I was hoping and more! The balcony was fantastic! I don’t think I have ever stayed in a quieter hotel. Either all of the other guests were not noisy at all or the walls are super insulated! It was fantastic! Super clean too!! Perfect location. We drove to the other towns to eat, look around etc. but we loved being in a central location to come “home” to take a break and look at the water. We were so impressed and happy that we booked again next year!! No need to look anywhere else!!
Very clean hotel in the center of town. Private beach access Nice patios and grounds. Bathrooms recently remodeled. No pets. Walk to several restaurants. Indoor pool. (Exercise room currently closed for COVID.) Ample parking. No smoking.
