This hotel is taking COVID requirements seriously. They are only having one person in the front office at a time and are limiting access to the rooms after they have been cleaned and sanitized for new guests.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite. The accommodations were great for me and my husband and our two college aged daughters. We had our own rooms for sleeping as well as two separate bathrooms. The kitchenette had a microwave, small stove and oven and a full size refrigerator. We didn’t cook much but the kitchen had everything needed to do so.

The living area includes a few books and some games. The fireplace would be nice on a cool evening, but it was too warm during our stay to use it. There is also a balcony off the downstairs bedroom which was really peaceful and enjoyable.

Parking and access to local sites was also very good. I’d recommend this Inn!

This was such a good choice. For our anniversary, we stayed in one of the suites. It was clean, bright, and the layout was perfect. It had a kitchen and a seating area/living room and access to a private balcony. The bedroom was sectioned off by a gas fireplace. We had a jacuzzi in the bedroom to boot! Check-in and out were contactless, and the owners really thought out everything to accommodate a safe atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and I would go back in a heartbeat.

We just spent a long weekend in White Birch suite #5 and could not have been more pleased. Our unit was clean and comfortable. The small kitchenette was perfect for our short stay. We only had minor interaction with staff but each time they were very friendly. The location in Ephraim was perfect, a good midway point if you wanted to drive south to Egg Harbor and Fish Creek or drive north to Sister Bay or Gills Rock to catch the ferry to Washington Island. We would definitely stay here again.

The resort is quiet being off the main road leading through Ephraim. We stayed in the Serena room which was one of the bigger rooms with queen bed. It’s clearly a dated facility with creaking floors and dated furniture. The bathroom fixtures are also dated and seeking the right temp in your shower can be a challenge. With that said, the biggest disappointment is the breakfast as already noted by others. There is usually fruit available and a single bakery item which is hard to consider any sort of bed & “breakfast” as advertised. It’s clear their kitchen is capable of more but with COVID, they’ve scaled way back and haven’t begun to recover. The afternoon “snack” is similar in that they provide a small cookie or other similar bakery item and some flavored water. They really need to consider upping their game here. The pool is indoor and very very small. With the indoor temp and humidity in the pool room both high, the pool is not a refreshing break. Housekeeping is also scaled back and you must request via a bag left in your room to replenish towels or other items. Staff are polite but are not service oriented in that they seem more engaged with their tasks than making their guests feel welcome. Finally, their electric key program is faulty in that it does not appear to work with your cellphone while at the same time disabling the key card you receive at check in. So you can find yourself locked out of your room. Suggest dumping the “Open Key” App and sticking with the physical keycard until they work out the kinks.

Hello Michael! Thank you for taking the time to write a review. You're right, the Inn is almost 100 years old! We would agree, that we are working towards updates, but also take pride in our antique finishing's. COVID19 has changed our family run business - we had to scale back our breakfast offerings, along with running the resort with our limited staff. We appreciate the review and will consider all your comments and suggestions. We hope you will try us again. Thank you!

Eagle Harbor Inn was very good. My wife and I were in Ephraim for a wedding and stayed at the Inn. The room was very clean and tidy when we arrived. There is daily service for towels and trash, although the room is not cleaned unless you are there for a longer stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would stay again if we visit Door County.

We stayed in the Bed and Breakfast part of the inn. The staff is very friendly and everything inside and out is very clean.

Our room (Tillie) was surprisingly small. I didn’t realize when booking it that our bed was a double- not a queen. The tv is tiny and high up so not really a feature that is easily used. The bathroom was nice and I liked the skylight but also very small. The room was also very cold despite us adjusting the temp.

The most disappointing part was breakfast. I think breakfast is modified because of covid and/or staffing issues but it was not what I would expect from a bed and breakfast and I wish I had been told that in advance. It was a selection of fruit and a piece of apple cinnamon cake (which was good but not filling and not breakfast).

This property might be good for the non b&b rooms, or for bigger b&b rooms but don’t get excited for breakfast just yet. Maybe next summer it’ll be back to what I believe is normal for them.

Room Tip: If staying in the b&b make sure you get a room that has the bed size you expect/need.

Hello! Thank you for staying with us recently. Tilla is the smallest room on property with a double bed, and yes a fun skylight in the bathroom! If you stay with us again, please reach out to our front desk staff to assist with your heating or cooling. We love to answer questions or fix issues if something seems to not be working right. Our breakfast has been scaled back due to COVID and a shortage of staff, so we appreciate the feedback and being understanding. Thank you for staying with us, and I hope you will try us again! Cheers.

Our room was Helga on the 2nd floor. Evidentally this is a "cheaper" room. When we entered we found it totally unacceptable but ouronly options for a two night stay is to move across the all for one night to a larger room and the 2nd night move again which is a great inconvenience because of the 2nd floor, steep stairs our our luggage, the 2nd night room was a suite at double the cost. No other options. No breakfast, broken light, squeeky door, luke warm tea, coffee. Not a good experience.

Hesitant to travel during Covid-19? You don’t need to be when you have smart and efficient owners and staff like the ones at Eagle Harbor Inn. They follow recommened safety protecol with a relaxed, friendly manner. Beautiful b and b, inside and out, and what a great breakfast—I loved the homemade cherry granola and cappacino chip muffins. The location in Ephraim is a perfect midway spot to enjoy the Door County Pennisula. It was also fun just to get up in the morning and take a run along the shore and see the lovely sights of this little village.
During this time of Covid-19, make your tourism dollars count by spending money with hard working conscientious owners like those at Eagle Harbor Inn.

I brought a friend to Door County for her first stay. When we checked in, the young lady at the desk had a very difficult time splitting the bill. When we entered out suite in the Sumac House, Suite 2, there was a nasty, musty smell coming from a cracked, leaking refrigerator which they eventually replaced. On the third night of of our stay, we were awakened by the fire alarm and spent most of the next hour in the parking lot watching the fire department going in and out of our building. We were allowed back in with no explanation about what had happened. Very unsettling and made for a sleepless remainder of the night. When we inquirednwhat the Inn would do to compensate the guests, we were told we would receive a $50 credit. For a $300 per night room, it seemed like very little. I have stayed at Eagle Harbor Inn 6 or 7 times. They have to realize they are not the only game in town with hundreds of other housing options in Door County. I have many, many friends who come to Door County and I have shared this experience with them. Come on Eagle Harbor Inn, compensate your guests!!

We have stayed here twice. The first time in Tamarack and this time in Cedar. Both visits were relaxing despite cold, snowy weather. Both units we stayed in had kitchenettes, which worked out well for us given I enjoy cooking. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My only complaints were that the 4-cup coffee maker is just wretched and I brought my own the 2nd time. The other issue is that I wish the kitchenette had a few more cooking utensils. We intend to make another visit in the fall. Thank you.

No certain about the breakfast. We had a suite where there was a kitchenette and preferred to make our own. We did not swim in the pool so I cannot answer this question. It is attached to the workout room, which is small, but adequate for a vacation workout. I believe there is coffee and treats in the afternoon. Again, we tried to avoid people for the most part (older adults) and so we did "our own thing".
