The hotel is well built located along the main road and fronting the seaside. Construction was going on for a seaside board walk when we stayed for the trip. This will be a great place to enjoy the sea.

The rooms are big, but unfortunately not well design for a hotel.

This could have been a great hotel if the building design and construction was done professionally. But it serves the purpose of a safe place to stay in the island.

I did not want to visit the place because I had read some poor comments here. But my wife insisted to try the food there, "at least" she said.

Before starting ordering I explained to the waitress some of the comments I had read here (long service, quality of food, ...), so that she was aware that I was expecting something different. We went there with local people helping us out with business opportunities in Tablas. This is important to know because these guys know the place well!

We dd not wait too long for receiving our order (probably because the staff was warned), but order came incomplete without even receiving any explanation on why my wife's shrimps were not prepared. So I called out for information after 30 minutes: there was no more shrimp left (@ 11:30 AM! Great stock management isn't it?), but nobody came to inform us spontaneously.

Quality of the food served was average. Nothing else than eatable.

Not sure I go back there ...

Stayed a week at end of January 2015. Room was clean but hot water heater did not work. I informed the person at their sari sari store and they send someone over. It worked one day and then quit again. They do not clean your rom or offer to unless you request it. Had to ask for towels none was in room when we checked in. Free breakfast was unacceptable. First 2 days in a row we had human hair in our food. Fried eggs were not cooked fully, white of egg was floating on top of egg white. Watch what time you check-in and check out. There is no standard 11am or 12 noon checkout. They clock each day charge 24 hours from the time you checked into the hotel and this can easily have you paying an extra day. They have bands playing very loud music almost every night until 12pm and no way to sleep it is so loud.

Mediocre service although the staff put on a heroically brave front. The hotel's owners really abuse the staff. The servers were a bit surly and dispirited but after chatting with them, I learned it was because they hardly made enough to make ends meet. Consider this -- the daily minimum wage prescribed by law is 300 pesos and the typical server was making 125 pesos. I was shocked. They couldn't fight back because there were no other jobs for them.

Also, their WiFi doesn't work. The owners had installed the router and DSL modem outdoors -- on one of the staircase where the equipment (made strictly for indoor use) was exposed to the sun and rain. Duh. Stupid.

This 34 room, three storey condotel dates from 2009 or 2010 and is hence modern.

It is on a lengthy but not very deep property between the National Road between Poctoy Port and Odiongan town. Tricycles in Odiongan - Poctoy cost a flat P20 a trip.

Manager Susie and staff were generally friendly although the receptioon girl took a long time to smile.

The grounds have a busy and well stocked sari-sari store (P15 for a 237ml Coke or Pepsi bottle compared with P10 at an out of town similar small store), much seating, an area for the live band that played on a Thursday night when I was there (the female vocalist had an excellent voice, the two males less so but they were good players), extensive seaside seating with marquees to shade one from the sun and an extensive, cheap food and drink menu.

My room 201B had a living area with three lounge chairs (one did not match), a marble table with four upholstered chairs of two different seat fabric colours, a large refrigerator that chilled food and drink to very cold, a sink and cupboards.

There was a kettle but no spoons, other cutlery or crockery or tea and coffee. Odd.

The bedroom had an airconditioner and unlike the main room had curtains but these were not effective at blacking out light. The aircon cooled the whole unit if left running for several hours. There was a wardrobe with clothes hangers and a smallish modern television although ghosting occurred for every channel. Nonetheless I was able to watch local 'Net25' plus BBC World and CNN Philippines.

The double bed had an unusual bottom sheet and just an eiderdown as the top cover. Pillows were comfortable.

The bathroom used a water heater that delivered scalding hot water, so I resorted to a tepid shower. This was fine as the temperature was probably 27 degrees at 0615.
The vanity basin was small but OK, as was lighting. The white towels were clean.

A simple Filipino breakfast is included but if one wants an omelette the charge is P85.

The hotel has a small, clean but unshaded swimming pool over which my room's balcony overlooked and access to the gray sand but clean beach.

It is about one kilometre to Poctoy Port: this can be seen from the hotel. 2 Go and Montenegro Lines ferries offer regular departures to Batangas and Caticlan, the latter for adjacent Boracay.

I used the hotel's recommended tricycle driver Rey (0907 624 7831) for a P800 half day tour (4.5 hours) of Malbaron and the better but challenging climb to Mainit Falls.

There is a grotto dedicated to the Virgin Mary on site. Good to see.

At night the hotel is popular for Odiongans to come and watch the band. As noted it played on the Thursday that I was there but not the Wednesday.

There is construction of a replacement sari-sari store at the front of the rooms so try for a seaside view room. Some rooms are dormiotory or multiple bed stle, aimed at Filipinos. A new three storey restaurant, function and (top floor) extra rooms is set to rise with the existing sari-sari stoire and kitchen to be demolished so expect some noise over coming months.

From Odiongan one can also visit or stay at Binucot Beach Resort while there are fish sanctuaries offshore from Looc Pier (excellent, P100 per person) and much closer to Odiongan (I did not visit.)

We stayed here for 1 nights. The room was clean however the electrics kept going off whilst we were getting showered. The staff were friendly and it cheap. However ordering food was a night mare as they missed off half of what we ordered. There was 9 of us travellign and only 6 of us got a meal. Parts of the order was missing and they also tried to charge us for it.

Wouldn't visit again as in general on the island there is nothing to do, especially in this area.

Stayed here 3 nights. My experience was not good. Maintenance was very bad, leaking water in the room from the ceiling when raining. Frontdesk, if there is any, tell it’s normal. Asking to clean the room, was not being done at all. Many ants in the room and the bed.
Asking to bring the breakfast in the room was done after an hour, after asked them 2 times more.
The band starts at 9pm till late, with a baby, that’s not a good thing.
Place to avoid, health hazard.

Staff there does not care at all. It's like they were not trained customer relations. It's okay if the act like they care at all. When i entered the bathroom, there was not toilet paper and there was a used shampoo/conditioner from a previous traveler. And for what we have paid for there's no wifi. The room is decent though. The comfort room door needs to be fixed.

I'm not really expecting a lot but there are essentials missing and you can read all those unpleasant reviews from this place.

Free breakfast is only hotsilog. Sad.

We could have just chosen an accommodation close to the port.

We stayed for 4 nights in July 2015, our room was part of a 4 room section with large central anteroom. The room booking and food ordering has to be done at the Sari Store at the front of the hotel. The room was clean, but the shower hot water was difficult to regulate. The hotel is located near a nice beach with a good view, but is a tricycle ride from town centre. We cut our stay at this hotel due to the loud music at night, too hard to sleep, and moved to another hotel in town at a lower room rate too.

Spend one night with family. Resort is located near odiongan harbour so its easy to come there. Good views to sea. Live music on seafront stage. Accomodation had big livingroom connected with 4 separate bedrooms. Bedroom was big enough and bed comfortable. Tv in bedroom. There was something to complain. Bedroom was not cleaned well after previous visitor. Sand in bed and remains off soap in bathroom. Evidently bed was made without changing sheets. Bathroom window was left open so there was moskitos in room. Waterheater on shower did not work well. Also only one towel in room but staff bring another after request. This place has potential but needs some upgrading.

Hello, I am not sure of the water source for this hotel. A lot of the residential properties there are getting their water from wells below the water table. This hotel is close to the shoreline so I can't be sure of their potable water source. Have you asked them if there are any water issues ? It has rained there quite a lot in the last few months however. Sorry I can't fully answer your query. Regards,
