We got caught up in the bad weather last week driving from Seattle to Montana. Booked a room last minute online. Greeted by a wonderful welcoming staff after a long day of tough driving . Our 80lb golden retriever was welcomed . We had a top floor room with fireplace, oversized

This Hotel is a must see if staying or even driving through Spokane. It has great historic value and the building will just wow you. Everything has been nicely updated and the beds are comfy. You must have the Sunday Brunch if you are staying on the weekend.

I believe they allow dogs but only on certain floors, so they would have limited space because they are not allowed in all rooms.

Yes, there is a CVS nearby, we picked up a few items there. There is a wide variety of eateries in the nearby River Park Square. There also is a funky co-op near the Convention Center -- the Main Market Co-op -- but we didn't try it. A more conventional grocery stores are a short car drive away.

Hotel transport will not be the least expensive option. I would go with Uber. We DID do hotel transportation for our visit as we were arriving after midnight on a weeknight. We were worried about Uber availability at that time. The hotel has a several lovely town cars and great drivers, but it will probably run you in the area of $40 or so.
