I have been coming to Glen Ayr for 12 years the present owners and managers are the best that have been here. They are helpful and strive for great customer service. I would like to take the time to question the “Bad Review” of 1/17. I was at the Glen Ayr this Friday night and Saturday. All the doors to Club house, restroom and showers are clearly marked with signs stating to wear a mask before entering. Not sure how that is confusing. I entered club house today and this family of 4 did not have masks on and they didn’t even try to put any on when we entered. The three of us all had our masks and kept them on the whole time we were in there. This is Saturday not the middle of the week. If you do not want to wear a mask, walk out and stay in your RV. Some of us are fighting cancer and other things in life. This family also needs to remember the office and phones are part of the clubhouse, this is not a personal living room for them. We are all here to have a great time and relax. In spring and summer there are all-sorts kids and families at this resort having a great time. This family rented RV spot not the whole resort they need to respect the management and other patrons. The only reason I know about their review was because they were bad mouthing the management and told us about the review. Rude!!!

I just got lucky in choosing Glen Ayr.... I was looking for an RV Resort about 150 miles from Cannon Beach Oregon. Kind of like throwing a dart at a map! Anyway we made the reservation and are very glad we did. The resort has level concrete pads with gravel in between, pull-thru, full hookups, and 50 amps. We have a great view of the canal right from our RV. The office and park personnel are all very personable and helpful. They have a private dock and patio right on Hood Canal (which is actually a fjord). Beautiful grounds with covered gazebo the people congregate in every afternoon and a hot tub too! They love dogs and have unfenced dog runs and also areas where pets are not allowed for folks who don't want to deal with pets. This is a great jumping off spot for exploring the Hood Canal area.

We stayed in the motel portion of Glen Ayre while visit friends and exploring the Hood Canal area. Our room had two queen beds on the second floor and was quite spacious with very useful amenities like a small refrigerator, microwave, and Kurig coffee maker with supplies.
Although it was unusually hot for the Pacific Northwest and like most establishments in the region Glen Ayr does not have a/c, a fan is provided in all rooms and with the windows open we were comfortable at night. There was surprisingly little road noise, likely because the building is set back from the road, our room was along the side, and it was mid-week. The little balconies along the walkway in front of our room provided a comfortable place to sit and catch the afternoon breeze. We also took advantage of the private dock across the road and used the benches and low tables provided there for picnic dinners while enjoying the sunset and evening cool. Because of the heat we did not use the hot tub, but after a cold, cloudy day it would have been a welcome treat.
Glen Ayr is conveniently located for visiting attractions up and down the canal, including several state parks on the water and the national forest and Olympic National Park recreation areas farther inland. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and would be delighted to come again.

This is the most accommodating management I’ve ever experienced. They clearly want guests to be as comfortable as possible. I went with a group for a diving trip at Sund Rock. I stayed in a double queen room. The room was basic, with older furniture, but had a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was not fancy but comfortable enough, with lots of extra pillows. The water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. The rest of the property is what really sold me, though. They have a place to rinse and securely store diving gear, which is a very warm room to help it dry. They have laundry room onsite, a new looking hot tub, a good sized clubhouse with pool table, games, movies, and refreshments, a heated gazebo with optional walls, and they also have showers to use after diving if you’ve already checked out of your room. The owner brought me a towel and even offered to get me shampoo. They also allow dogs and are right across the street from the water. Sometimes it’s just the little things that really make a place nice, and that’s the case here.

We had the opportunity to stay here for 2 nights in our motorhome. We got the delightful premium creekside spot #5. A dog trail on one side with a beautiful picnic area on the other side across the seasonal dry creek. Owners were very friendly & the park was immaculate. They even have 2 propane BBQs available for use. We were fortunate to be there on a Wednesday & bought a salmon from the fishermen that stay there. A fish cleaning station is also available. Next time we're in the area, we look forward to a repeat stay!

We were able to get one of the King water view rooms at the last minute (on a weeknight), for a one night stay. It was the perfect way to celebrate our honeymoon between camping and backpacking the Olympic peninsula. I was enchanted with the balcony over looking the Canal, the dock and lounge area right on the water. We watched sea otters and seals right from the room! All the room touches were much appreciated - magazines, ice bucket, coffee maker, lush chairs and table, great bed, nice decor, etc. We took advantage of the onsite laundry - much needed! Super friendly staff and other guests. The spa was deserted so we had it all to ourselves - great for hiking recovery! My only caveat is that the highway can be noisy if there is traffic and you like your windows and door open for the fresh air. The traffic dies down at night. I feel this is a really decent value for all the facilities offered. It would be great for those parties where some use an RV, and others want a room or cabin.

We arrived the last day of July, 2022 and the temp was 100. There was no air conditioning but a large fan. Street noise wasn't a problem since the fan was on high all night. Other than the heat that first night, the stay of very nice, with beautiful surroundings and very friendly staff.

Took a last minute trip for the weekend with our household of 4. Stayed in the Townhouse and was pleasantly surprised at how well kept, spacious and clean the home was. Even the cute make-up remover cloths in the bathroom. You can tell they definitely take pride and care of their property. Especially appreciated the BBQ station and gazebo for picnicking and of course the ginormous hot tub. They also thought ahead and limited the usage to 1 hr per unit so each household has an opportunity to enjoy it while maintaining social distancing.

Nice clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms 1 and 2 have great views of Hood Canal, you just have to put up with a little bit of road noise. I own a cabin just up the road and when I have more guests than I can sleep in the cabin I put them up here.

This place was totally awesome. We arrived at our room to find two adjacent windows that gave us a full view of the canal (actually a fjord) on two sides. The resort is right on the road, but that didn't bother us, as it was a short drive to Staircase rapids and the other hikes in the area. We had a fridge so we could do our own breakfast (which we prefer) and we went down the street to a great little tavern for supper. Its not a big chain, but if you want a local place with charm, crazy good views of the canal (we set our scope up on the balcony and watched for whales during the evening and morning), this is a great place.

Any recommendations on what RV spots are better than others?

We chose site 105, which backs up to the creek. Those sites are the furthest away from everyone else. Site 105 has no one on the creek site pathway. They are a little tight and depending on the size of your rig, backing in is a little different than most sites, but not too difficult. Look up the site map on the website or use goggle earth to take a look at the resort as a whole.
