The staff was very helpful friendly and accommodating. The cabins were very clean and well-equipped.The location of the cabins give a wonderful view of the ocean and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets with Eagles perched in the trees . It was our first time there and definitely will not be our last!

Our long weekend at Iron Springs on the Pacific coast of Washington was everything we needed. It was our first trip together without our daughter and man do parents need to do that. We were supposed to be in France for our anniversary and when that got canceled we decided to go somewhere neither of us had ever been - the PNW. I stumbled across this remarkable place and am so happy that I did. We walked along the wide ocean beach and in the thick mossy forest. It was unlike any landscape we had ever seen. We spent rainy hours inside watching movies and evenings listening to the crackling fire. Watched the waves thunder in to shore from our deck and witnessed the most spectacular sunset on our last night. Spending time here during this year reinforced to me that we all are most at home in nature. Nature provides and nature heals, if you are overwhelmed or lost you can always find your way back through the elements of nature. Thank you to the fantastic team Iron Springs Resort for giving us this place and this weekend - we will be back! Our cabin was immaculate and the daily wood delivery was such a thoughtful convenience. Loved that they have a little store for essentials. We just missed razor clam digging and want to plan another trip so we can do it! …

Finally getting around to this review even though my visit was last fall, but obviously I’m still dreaming of it… there’s no place quite like this, with the combination of privacy/quiet but not feeling too remote; views of this part of the NW coast with its tall rocky bluffs but also easy and private access to the beach; and luxe yet rustic cabins. I chose cabin 14 because I liked that the bedroom isn’t a completely closed off room, and is open to all of the corner windows and the view, and the fantastic rock fireplace in the center of the cabin. I think 14 is the priciest cabin but is well worth it. The style is mid-century modern-ish, with sloping wood ceiling angled toward the ocean views and a skylight in the kitchen/dining area. If you get a good rain while you are there, and chances are decent, you can hear it pattering on the roof, very peaceful! The kitchen is nicely stocked with all of the tools you need, and bonus a quiet dishwasher. The guest binder on the living room table is very helpful with lots of info on places to visit and eat in the area, and I think something like 14 pages! listing all of the DVD’s you can borrow from the office, a great selection sorted by genre. It’s also fun looking through the past guestbooks and reading how other guests have spent their time here. Don’t bother overpacking as clothing storage is minimal, no closet or drawers in the bedroom, just one shelf/bench and some hanging hooks; plus some more hanging hooks over the bench near the front door. A nice touch in the bathroom is that the shower has dual heads on opposite ends – so a couple can shower at the same time if you want, or if not, you can still have your own ‘end’ of the shower to store your personal bath stuff. Wifi is a bit spotty and not fast, but likely you didn’t come here for that. There is a decent selection of channels on cable. Don’t miss the cinnamon rolls that you can pick up in the office, or also can order ahead of time to have them waiting in the freezer for you... some of the best cinnamon rolls ever. The daily maintenance staff is very unobtrusive, but every day you have stocked firewood and garbage/recycling checked. Our family has been coming here for years and love it. The cabins are comfortable and inviting. Kids have lots of fun checking out movies, exploring the beach, and jumping the waves. The views from most of the cabins are amazing and the sound and smell of the ocean can’t be beat.

We have stayed in a number of different cabins at Iron Springs. This time I chose #16 for our "winter at the ocean" break. This cabin is on the upper bluff, right on the edge, facing directly out to the Pacific Ocean. The cabins are all equipped with nearly everything that you could need -- except the food you will eat. If there is something that you find that you need, it is likely available at the well equipped Store/Office. All seasons have their special feeling at Iron Springs. For our winter visit, we had the expected storms with wind and rain, and also a day of (unexpected) sunshine! For one of the rainy days, we chose to sit inside by the fire, read books, and watch the ocean through the huge window. Heavenly!! We will continue to return.
