Detailed Reviews
We finished our 50th wedding anniversary celebration at A Cascade View after hiking at Mount Ranier, whale watching in Edmonds, and several days in Friday Harbor. It’s only a short trip to the Museum of Flight and to tour Seattle from the bed and breakfast . Marianne is a delightful host and a fabulous cook! Her dog Jango is such a love - perfectly behaved. Her gardens are picture perfect and provide a great backdrop for the many varieties of birds who come to the feeders and entertain the guests at breakfast. Omelets, almond pancakes, egg casserole, fruit parfaits, muffins, coffee, and tea were all delightful. Conversation was always a highlight of the day and on our last morning Marianne treated us to her playing the piano. A Cascade View Bed and Breakfast was certainly cozy, comfortable, and abounds with creativity.

My wife and I just returned home from our visit to the Seattle area. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at A Cascade View Bed and Breakfast. Marianne and Bill are marvelous hosts. Their home is very warm and comfortable, with plenty of space both inside and outside to sit and relax. The surrounding yard and garden is amazing. Marianne prepared a wonderful breakfast, different each morning that we were there. The home is located in Bellevue, with easy access to downtown Seattle. We loved visiting with Marianne and Bill each morning. Thank you Marianne and Bill for making us feel welcome and for your hospitality.

I went to spend time with a work colleague for some rest and relaxation. We really enjoyed the breakfast and conversation! I loved looking around the property and home full of photographs and artwork! We also took advantage of the walking path to the state park!

Two nights in this lovely B&B made for the perfect end to our Pacific North West adventure. Marianne and Bill are the perfect hosts and welcomed us like family. A beautiful room with everything we needed and homemade breakfasts each morning

The A Cascade View is tucked away in a neighborhood in Bellevue. The B&B is surrounded by a small oasis of green. We stayed in the Garden Room. It is spacious, with a comfortable bed and nice siting area. It overlooks the beautiful garden that Marianne planted herself.
Marianne is effervescent, warm and inviting. She and Bill made our stay a home away from home.
We enjoyed the conversations with Marianne and Bill while eating the wonderful breakfasts. As we ate, we watched the hummingbirds, Juncos, and woodpeckers swarm the bird feeders on her deck.
When we come back to Seattle, we will definitely stay here again.

I visited this B&B about five years ago. This B&B had very comfortable beds and surroundings, for that I was grateful. The guests have free run of the lower level, which had a very large media/reading room. That was really nice.
The problems I had seem to result from the layout of the house in general and perhaps their attitude towards having guests. You enter on the first floor into an open concept living area - but that is their living area. You are expected to go immediately down the stairs to your floor (and stay there).
The host was not very welcoming. I think he is not so enamored with this whole idea. His conversations were short and neutral.
The hostess is very chatty, too chatty, really. I could tell the other guests I shared meals with just didn't feel like talking, but she would not stop asking questions. This made me uncomfortable. She talked so much during while preparing one breakfast she burned the bacon.
They should really consider breaking up the house some and giving the guests their own entrance. That way guests would not be intruding on their lifestyle and would not feel unwelcomed. Which reminds me, when I checked in, the hosts were off at a concert and I let myself in. So, it is not a traditional B&B where the hosts are around to service the guests. If is more like a private house where you are renting a room

In response to the review of 2004 we have constantly been moving forward with our business and feel that in the 17 years of our successful business we have made changes for the benefit of our guests. Our guests now can enjoy reading in our sunroom, and even get to play with our dogs in the yard if desired. We truly enjoy meeting our guests from all over the world, and hope to make each one of them feel like they have been to a very special B&B.

This is a private setting. The house is set back in the woods off a two lane road. Both rooms have a wonderful view of the back garden full with bird feeders and planters. On clear days, yes, the mountains are visible. The rooms are immaculate. This is the place to stay in Bellevue. Very conveniently located to all attractions throughout the area. My grand kids are in Bellevue, and this is where I plan to stay.

I stayed at the Cascade View for 34 days. Marianne and Bill are fabulous. I was in town for a Purna Yoga Teacher Training course. The studio is a mile from A Cascade View. Very convenient. I arrived at A Cascade View mid afternoon and hadn't eaten anything since very early morning. Marianne said I must eat something and directed me to where the studio was located which have nearby eateries. Very thoughtful and caring.
The B&B is beautiful. The Rose room is very bright and cheery. Free wi-fi with a good connection. The breakfasts were delicious. Marianne did not duplicate a breakfast in 34 days. 34 days!! The eggs are fresh as can be as Marianne and Bill have live chickens. The breakfasts are organic.
The grounds are also beautiful. Pink roses, red roses. Rose gardens. Vegetables gardens. The grounds are very peaceful, relaxing and quiet.
Marianne and Bill are great hosts. When I met Marianne and Bill I felt like I've known them my entire life. They are very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. They are also very attentive to their guests. At times I could hear Marianne playing the piano which was delightful.
Without question I would stay there again.

Thank you for your very kind remarks about our Bed & Breakfast. We certainly love presenting a warm and welcoming place for our guests, and really love that you found the gardens relaxing and peaceful. I find cooking to always be fun and interesting for me so I'm delighted that you liked my breakfasts. And of course, we love having our own chicks because the eggs are truly delicious. We enjoyed having you stay with us, and look forward to seeing you again at another yoga teacher training session.

There are three rooms available. One is a suite with t.v., sofa, fireplace and patio, pivate bath. Another one has two twin beds and one has a queen. The last two do not have t.v., however a common room is available. The last two rooms would share a bath, however this would be great area for a family of 4. Area is very peaceful and quiet. Good beds. Plenty of food for breakfast. Owners do have a poodle the I enjoyed, but for non-animal lovers this could be a problem. Note: the bathroom for the non suites is in the hallway with the two rooms, however might be better if doorway would be at the start of the hall for privacy.

We just came back from our trip to Washington and loved the Cascade B&B. We had a very comfortable room in a lovely house, surrounded by beautiful gardens. She served delicious breakfasts, and she, her husband, and their cute little French Poodle were a pleasure. I just have to also mention that the shower in the bathroom was wonderful. I told my husband that we need to buy that shower head! I would definitely return when I'm back in the area.
