From the moment I pulled into my parking space labeled PRESS SECRETARY, I was hooked. Walking into this beautiful estate was like walking into another era. We were greeted with wine, chocolate and pastries...what could be more inviting? Our hosts, John and Debbie, were delightful and totally attentive, when needed. We greatly appreciated the short tour of the rooms in the main building and suggestions of restaurants for dinner. They also gave us complete privacy to enable us to enjoy our stay in peace. The king bed in our FDR suite was very comfortable and all grounds and rooms were well appointed and very clean. Other guests were equally entertaining as we opted to join them for the delicious berry/granola yogurt, Belgian waffle, and bacon breakfast. Guests are alternatively able to dine in privacy if they prefer. This is a phenomenal weekend getaway, located across from William and Mary, only four or five blocks from the fabulous Fat Canary restaurant, and you owe a stay here to yourself or a loved one. You will never regret it!

Spent one night in the Teddy Roosevelt suite. Plenty of parking to choose from with clever signage Check in was a breeze. Our room was on the top floor of the main house. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. We slept great Easy to walk to town. Also, it’s across from W&M! Breakfast was delicious. Our house mates were so much fun to talk to You can choose group or individual family breakfast style. We look forward to staying again

It was great! Parking was funny as there are spots for democrats republicans and of course the first lady and chief of staff! I loved how each morning the table was set for us and the placements were by your room name :) The innkeepers were very genial and engaged all who stayed.

The "White House" was our fifth lodging on an 11 day trip. We truly saved the best for last. Prior to our stay, communication was ongoing and thorough. Debbie and John were easy to reach, whether by email or phone, and all questions were answered fully and politely. Upon arrival, we were met by John, the fast talking proprietor. He was entertaining and informative and used the "3D blueprint/diorama" to help us get our bearings of the area. The main common rooms are beautiful and historic. We also enjoyed the satirical touches placed around all the rooms. The brownies and wine were a nice complement to our indoctrination of the property. The tour of our three rooms proved that each and every room is well-appointed and beautifully carries out the room's theme. The rooms were clean and comfortable and easy to get to, even while navigating steps with heavy suitcases. As a group of middle-aged women who have taken annual trips for the last 10 years, we know the experiences and accommodations that exceed our expectations and the "White House" does not disappoint. The sit down breakfast with table service was an incredible experience. Our group of 6 was treated to a delicious and filling meal cooked by Debbie and served by both Debbie and John. But the true highlight of the breakfast, and our Williamsburg stay, was the privilege to have breakfast with Al, a 98 year old WWII veteran, and his lovely wife, Carol. It was both ironic and flattering that they were more interested in our annual trips than in dominating the conversation with Al's war experiences, although we were more interested in their life experiences. The result was a wonderful meal accompanied by all of us sharing experiences. We were even able to convince Debbie and John to participate in and contribute to our banter and laughter. The day's start was a highlight of our 11 day adventure and is now one of our favorite memories. The Williamsburg White House and it's wonderful hosts provided us with an amazing and memorable experience. Debbie and John and their staff are exceptional representatives of the hospitality industry. From cleanliness to amenities to accommodations to the personalities of the hosts themselves, this was a first class experience in a first class establishment.

We loved the White House Inn!! The hosts went out of their way to be welcoming and solicitous. The breakfast was inventive and filling. The room was uber comfortable. The location was great for walking to campus or dining and shopping. Best of all were the eclectic and humorous decorations that reflected American presidents. We can't wait to return and whole-heartedly recommend for couples getaways or touring the Williamsburg area or visiting campus.

Thank you soooo much for your awesome review. It was our pleasure hosting you and are so glad you enjoyed your time at this great old home! Sometimes the humorous decorations are not appreciated as much as you did, so we are so glad you didn't leave your sense of humor at home! We certainly hope you get back soon to see us! Stay happy, Debbie
