Many good things and few not so good has been written about the hotel. Being a local going to a locally-inspired resort, I didnt expect much. What made me selected this resort was the way Andy, the owner treated us. He is always attentive and very personal (being sorry for not in the Island to meet my family). After the...

Well, the place itself is beautiful. Cotteges are really nice. Nothing to compare with mexican type capanas. Those in Sangat Reerve are really good. The place looks like paradise- nice beach, beautiful sky, palm trees, plants etc. Great place for diving. Right in the middle of all diving sites. It is a bit far from everything- about an hour speed...

Really great stay! No words to describe how amazing it was. The owner was so nice and he helps me to organize the flight and the stay in Manila (at one of the best hotel!) For the first 3 nights we stayed in the Cottage with private beach and then we moved into a cottage right in front of the...

I was quite hesitant before to book at Sangat Island. I made several research from tripadvisor and other websites. Then finally, I made a final decision to stay here instead. Just from my inquiry from the owner of the resort, I felt that he is a good natured man. He was very patient to answer all my questions via email...

I booked 4 nights here based on positive reviews here and elsewhere, and I have to say I was disappointed. For the price, I would expect a bit more in basic amenities. OK, I knew there was no air-con, but when you also add no hot water, no electricity 6 am to 6 pm, trying to find your things in...

The area around the reserve is spectacular if you're a diver. The sheer number of ship wrecks in the area make it a worth while visit if you're in the area. The accommodations are rustic - however, the huts do have running water if that's important to you. If you're not a diver, don't bother. Other than one hiking trail...

We have just returned from a mostt enjoyable and memorable experience at this basic but comfortable resort. We were with a group of 15 divers and we were extrememely well looked after by all the lovely friendly staff. The boat and dive guides were extremely competent and helpful and always smiling. The food was abundant and mostly very tasty. The...

Sangat has a georgeous white beach, and the resort is perfect if you don't mind not having luxurious mod cons (tv, air-con, hot water). We stayed in a beachfront cottage that was overhanging the sand, it had a great view from the double hammock on our balcony. The food is very good, and the whole place is very well run,...

We have just come back from here having had a four day stay. The other reviews are correct- it is very basic. there is no hot water at all and the only "air-con" is a fan in each room (not ceiling) which operates from 6pm to 6 am (or, on several occasions 5:30 am). This does make sleeping pretty tough,...

If you are looking to stay on a beautiful, remote island in the Philipipnes within minutes of incredible wreck diving in Coron, this is the place to stay. The beach huts are functional and nice and the staff for the most part are helpful. No TV's or phones are in the rooms however cell phones work on the island. The...
