Detailed Reviews
The campground has been severely impacted by Hurricane Helene which flooded out the campground and the convenience store next to it. The store has been emptied out and likely needs rehabbing or rebuilding completely. While the ground under the campground remains, it appears as if the flood wiped out all the accessories. The location is still good, right off I-81 but there's a bit too much rusticness right now for this to be an acceptable place.

Owners don't care enough about the campground to even know which spots had sewer and which didn't. Only a few spots had sewer, not disclosed when checking in, the bathrooms were a horrid sight to behold and it was very noisy. The trash was never attended to.

Sites right on river, adjacent to hwy overpass. Staff friendly. Campground clean. We were there before fully open for season so bathrooms not yet unlocked. Need lots of levelers for riverfront sites. Lots of highway noise but well overhead so it soon becomes just white noise. Easy on/off from I81. Will use again for overbite. Stayed here in class A

There’s a lot going on here right now and it makes it challenging to write a great review. The highway noise is constant. Right now there is construction on the highway so there is added noise, especially from the bridge. Many permanent campers and some are construction workers. We were here to explore the area and drive around on the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we were gone most of the day. There is one shower in restroom house. It does the job. There are no windows so it smells musty. Now, for the ladies that work here. They are amazing! Friendly and helpful. They are what got this campground it’s third star. The deli always smells so yummy. We didn’t eat here as we were off exploring, so I can’t speak to quality. Overall, for the price it did the job.

I just hate to write bad reviews but feel I must to warn other Big Rig RV’s. I called ahead to see if they had a Passport America spot for a forth foot Class A MH with toad. The manager said I could have number 8 or 11 and could decide when I arrived. I would need to unhook the car. That’s ok with us.
This is a very small campground attached to a gas station where you register. We looked at both spots and neither one was 40’ long! They were both very muddy and we would probably have sunk. We were going to leave but the person on duty did not want to turn us away and said we could stay in number 3 which had some concrete pad. We agreed but asked him to call the manager because she had told me we could not stay in that one. She told him we could stay there for one night.
The next morning she wanted to charge full price of $40 because it was a full hook up (which we didn’t use). She finally gave me the PA discount so it was $17.50. She was very nice.
This place is so small we had to back out when we left. The worst thing was that the campground is under the interstate overpass & believe me when I say that truckers never sleep!

Originally I had written a pleasant review...noting how helpful they were to resolve our electrical issue!! Well, the issue was never resolved!! Every night we had to switch over to 30 amp because of the power surges going through our meter! They tried to tell us it was our camper because no one was else had the problem!! Others did have the same problem because we tested it...we have a 2018 Mobile Suites with a built in surge protector...as a result we constantly dealt with this!!
There was a sinking mud hole in front of our camper that never dried up...we had to build a platform over the mud hole just to get out of our trailer!!
Sewage was seeping through the grass...they rarely mowed...after the campground flooded twice we moved elsewhere and our electricity works fine...go figure!!

Nice folks bad campground or I should say " mudhole". Spaces are small and not pull thru unless your rig is small. Awful highway noise that NEVER lets up
There is a little restaurant - not too good. There has to be something better
