stay at this hotel regularly when I go into the area. This was the worse experience I have had at a Wyndam hotel I believe. I told the front desk and later after I realized nothing was done to check the situation out the maintenance an and housekeeper. We experienced a bug situation in one of the beds not both and I only asked that it be checked into since the bed in question was not to be used that night at all. I was called by who said they were head of housekeeping and told I would be kicked out of my room even though I was not in the building and it was moving in day at Radford so I was all involved in that process. The person was extremely belligerent, rude and at times hostile in this phone conversation. A while later I was called by this same person and told that the bed was checked and all the sheets etc were changed and no bugs were found. Imagine my surprise that this too was a lie because the bed in question had not been changed as the stains on the side of the sheet was still there. Had I not known there were stains I would have believed all this to be true. I was and still am surprised that this would happen since up until this past March I too had worked at Wyndam as a front desk clerk and could not imagine going to such extremes to first insult a guest and then lie in order to make sure the money for the night which was double a usual nights stay since it was move in day for Radford students did not have to be returned as was threated earlier in the day.
I will share with Wyndam although I stayed the time I plan to mention this to the Wyndam offices and expect them to reimberce me with extra points. This is the results I have always told my Wyndam guest at the property I worked at to ask for and demand since in the long run it is the wyndam name that suffers

I tried to find a place close to Lane Stadium for the VT Football Game but didn't find any in Blacksburg, Virginia. Radford is located approximately 20 minutes away from the stadium. We arrived late and received the room keys quick. They DID NOT swipe my card for incidentals which was pretty cool. Parking is a bit tight and with a limited number of parking slots. My boys and me walked to our room and quickly you smell the age of the hotel. If you travel, there is a special SMELL to old hallways and rooms. The beds were very soft and pillows were horribly small. The room was a bit stuffy but the cold weather kept it ok. The restroom shows its age and the toilet moves when you sit on it. They give you small amounts of shampoo and THAT little bar of soap. We didn't get food but they had a continental set up.KUDOS to house keeping for putting a plastic bag on the remote and telephone receiver. So if you're there for the gane an ok stop for I think $330.

I felt very uncomfortable in a situation due to another guest and the front receptionist went out of his way to not only accommodate me but make sure I was safe! I’m very thankful! He came up to my room, upgraded me free of charge and even walked me to my new room!

I was 9 hours into a 20 hour road-trip and at 11pm at night was ready to call it quits. I called the property directly for a reservation. Check in was easy, location easy to find. When given my 1st room, the lights did not work. Went up to the fd and the gentleman said it was something about how housecleaning turned them off, but that he'd put me in another room. So he put me right across the hall from the 1st room. Simple enough. The lights worked fine, and I put my belonging on 1 bed and start to pull the blankets back from the other to go to sleep. Low and behold, there's some hair and mystery chunks under the covers. It's late, I think not a big deal, accidents happen, there's a whole other bed. Right? Wrong! I then turn to the other bed, noticing the cigarette burns in a non smoking room, and move the other pillow to the side of the bed I wanted only to stop dead in my tracks. It looked like someone had popped a squat and peed all over the dang thing. There was a pee pillow on my bed! Nasty.
But that unfortunately was not the end of it.
For some reason I still pulled back the blankets on the bed to find what I can only assume was a wadded up used tissue. Someone obviously had a better time in this bed than I was ever gonna get close to. Double Nasty. I called up to the fd again, and got some excuse about new house cleaning girls, and was then put in a musty smelling king room upstairs. But at least the bed looked clean.
I called the next day, after noon like instructed by the new FD agent, to speak t the MGR, and immediately got gaslit about my reservation. She said "Well what do you expect when coming in late" and then "but you still stayed didn't you?"
Yes, because it was the middle of the night in the middle of the mountains and I was dead tired.
I'm not one to complain, I work in the hotel/ hospitality industry, I know accidents happen. It actually took me a few weeks to drum up the nerve to write this review because I know how bad they can be. But the quality of this hotel is not acceptable. And the service I received after such issues was not acceptable. and the 15$ credit I received for having a pee stained pillow and a used masturbation tissue in my bed, was not acceptable.

Just a heads up for other travelers out there, go elsewhere.

Staff is friendly and the hotel is one of the cleanest around! Makes you feel so comfortable and the chair in the room was awesome! They use sanitation bags on the phones and remotes like the Hilton does. Their just so clean and I was shocked. Very good stay!

This property is clean and the staff are very helpful and kind. The location is great and can access the sounding area within minutes. Breakfast is weak, but it is continental. Their only flaw is continued connection of their internet. Constantly kicks in and out.

Do Not Stay At this Place! Go up the road to the La Quinta and you will be much much happier. To begin with when we checked in to the Super 8 we checked in we were supposed to be booked for 14 nights. When we arrived and went in we told the front desk person we had a service dog and it's papers so we didn't need to be charged the fee. We also asked to make sure that we were booked up through till the 12th. We went up to our room and about an hour later get called about the pet fee. I went down with my papers and went around and around with them till finally I just wanted to get along so I paid it. Nobody cleaned our room the entire time we stay, and we only got 3 towels the entire visit. Anyways so I noticed that they had us checking out the 10th so I booked the hotel for 2 more nights. I went down to the front desk that morning and asked the guy at the front desk that I didn't get paid until that afternoon after four when I got paid again. The dude at the front desk said that was fine.So I go on to work leaving my daughter who has PTSD and she is the one that needs the service animal in our room. I get a call at 2 clock from my daughter in tears having a PTSD attack because they have kicked her and the dog out of the room due to me not paying for the reservation yet. Needless to say I was mad when I got off work so I went by there to get my money back for the dog and to give them a piece of my mind. They didn't give me my money back claiming that we ruined three towels while we were there and I pointed out it hard to ruin three towels when you barely used them due to using your own. Don't stay here go somewhere else. I paid 900 and some dollars to get treated like crap and my daughter to be sent into a PTSD episode.

MY ROOM STUNK. I didn't even realize hotels still had smoking rooms. My room smelled terrible, I couldn't stand being in it for one minute. Before turning around and walking out, I happen to notice a hole in the comforter. That's all I remember seeing because it smelled so bad, I turned around left immediately. I went back to the front desk and asked for nonsmoking. When I entered the non-smoking room, it smelled just as bad. I had to go back to the front desk and just cancel my room. I wanted to like it since it is a lower priced option near Radford University, but I will never stay there. I will say the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and cancelled my reservation right away. Too bad the rooms aren't anywhere near as nice as the staff.

We needed to cancel our reservation after the 6 PM deadline due to a power failure at the hotel. The customer service desk gave us such a hard time that we broke down to a shouting match. Part of the problem was the language barrier that we experienced. Although it was a frustrating experience dealing over the phone trying to cancel our reservation. The manager at the hotel finally resolved it on our behalf with no help from the corporate offices. All’s well that ends well.

Overall a nice place just too many critters!! Staff and hotel were overall nice. Walking in found some bugs by the microwave and bathroom sink area, not really what you want to see first thing. Also beds are really really soft you almost feel like your sinking.
