At the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough, guests often find the atmosphere to be somewhat lackluster and in need of a refresh, though its prime location with stunning ocean views somewhat compensates for this shortfall. While the rooms are commended for their spaciousness and vistas, reviewers consistently call out the need for modernization and attention to maintenance. Cleanliness is generally upheld, yet some areas beg for better upkeep. Service quality is a mixed bag, with both commendations for attentiveness and critiques of inefficiency. Amenities like the coeliac-friendly breakfast and good shower pressure are highlights, but many guests feel that the overall value does not align with the price, suggesting that some services are overpriced.

The location was excellent and the pool was brilliant. Unfortunately there were not enough sun beds around the pool area so unless you got in early then you would miss out (which is typical of these types of hotel).

We were there 3 nights / 4 days in a premium room - our towels were not changed once nor were our complimentary tea/coffee replenished so that was disappointing as we paid a lot of money to stay over Christmas. When room service came it was already cold on most occasions.

Noise can also be an issue due to the bars under the hotel and along the promenade which we didn’t consider so if you want peace and quiet then a mid week break would be best.

The lounge bar is dark and dingy, it was hard to tell if it was open or closed.

The Rendezvouz Hotel is located across the road from the iconic Scarborough Beach Western Australia. My friend and I had booked in for a 5 night "staycay" as we were unable to travel to Bali due to government lockdowns in relation to a global Pandemic. We were open minded as to the facilities that might be on offer with current lockdowns and were prepared to make the most of a difficult and troubled situation. We both stayed in deluxe king rooms overlooking the beach which were lovely and spacious, comfortable, clean and pleasantly decorated. The bathrooms were large and spotlessly clean, a tribute to the housekeeping staff and the rooms themselves were fitted with all the necessary requirements of a hotel stay, comfortable bed, mini fridge, desk and seating area. There is also a manageable balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean which is perfect for sunset drinks, and the sunsets were amazing!!! We were only able to order room service and also grab no go because of restrictions, however all the food we ordered was absolutely outstanding and tasty and definitely well over proportion size which was more than enough to keep the hunger at bay, thankyou to the chef. I would like to make special mention of 2 staff members who at all times were helpful, friendly, professional and courteous under these unusual circumstances. Suzie who was working the front desk, always had a cheery and happy demeanour and helped us on many occasions with any questions we had in relation to our room and our stay. Also Shirin who was working in the Straits Cafe was always so lovely and polite when we were ordering our "grab n go" meals. She was a breath of fresh air and a credit to the hotel. Thankyou for having us under these unusual circumstances. We will definitely be back at some point whereby we can utilise all the facilities that are on offer. Thanks

the hotel is old and very tired. During our stay of 7 days at times there was only 1 elevator working which caused significant delays waiting, at no time did a staff member approach us to provide elevator updates while we were waiting in the lobby.
I spoke with the Otis workmen, the elevator issue is a known issue, the Hotel will simply not spend the money for a long term fix.
We paid for an Ocean View Room, the Ocean could only be viewed from a small part of our room in a standing area or from the particularly dirty balcony. The photo we saw before booking showed a room with full ocean view from the bed.
I suspect we were charged for the ocean view and then put in a standard room?
The laundry has a sign that says go to Reception for change, after playing elevator roulette for 10 minutes, Reception had no change.
Escalator down to street level wasn't working half the time we were there.
Air Con in our room was noisy and rattled away the whole time it was on.
Bathroom was good, recently renovated perhaps, the rest of the hotel was showing its age
Pool area has very little shade, shade frames are there but the covers have been removed on most, probably due to age.

I’ve stayed here many times over many years but this was the worst experience I’ve had at this hotel .
I purchased Groupon deal for 2 night stay in deluxe ocean view room with buffet breakfast included . Check in at reception went smooth thanks to Emily who was friendly and efficient . But that’s where it ends . We were allocated 16th floor , upon entering our room you could immediately see that carpets and floors were not vacuumed . There were 2 dead bugs laying on the clock radio . We decided to suck it up and let this go without reporting to front desk .
We ordered room service , which we were charged extra $5 to have it delivered to our room , Our dinner was delivered in cardboard boxes with plastic knife and fork .
Later that night at 11.30pm the room next door to us began pumping loud music . Security came and told them to turn down but as soon as security left they began to blast the loud music up again .
We had no choice but to change rooms . We were put on the 23rd floor which was much quieter at around 12.30am .
Breakfast also was delivered to our room due to the 20 person only allowed at a time to eat at the straits restaurant. I was unable to get through to Room service Or restaurant to place an order for quiet some time . When they finally picked up it took over 45min to get our breakfast which was delivered stone cold and once again in cardboard box.
Keys to room and lifts would not work and we had to get reception to let us in lift each time we went out of our room .
As I mentioned I have been staying at this hotel for years and was just blown away at how the standards in the hotel have dropped since the covid19 .
Very dissatisfied and disappointed and would not recommend his hotel to anymore .

I stayed here for business for about 4 nights. This area is breathtaking so definitely spend the extra money to have a Ocean view room. The hotel itself is quite dated, but the bathroom in my room had been recently renovated, so it appears they are making improvements slowly. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and even attached to the hotel so on the weekend it was very active. There was even a food truck night across from the hotel. Housekeeping was very efficient and the room was always quickly turned over each day. We did experience an elevator breakage while there which was annoying, but the hotel had it fixed in a day or two. I would stay here again if I return to Perth.

This hotel has certainly seen better days. They have made an effort to tart up the club rooms with new soft furnishings, however, the built in furniture looks to be original and is suffering from extreme wear. The bath tub in these rooms is so deep that if you suffer from mobility issues you would never climb in much less out and the shower is above the bath.

The selection of food in the Club Lounge is the worst I have ever seen in all my years of staying on Club Floors.

On a positive note the hotel occupies a beautiful seafront location with just about all of the rooms having ocean views.

A pleasant enough stay but one I wouldn't be in a hurry to revisit.

The hotel is set in a really good location and has undercover car parking which is not suitable for most 4 wheel drives due to the 1.9m height limit. Our 4 wheel drive gets in to all of the shopping centres but couldn't even get into their alternative car park which is supposed to be 2m in height, so we had to park the car on the street. Check-in time of 3pm is not the best as your day is almost over. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Bathroom basin plug was jammed in and the water did not drain away. There is no complimentary water in the rooms and the food at the buffet breakfast was cold. I would not recommend this hotel.

Just had a very enjoyable stay in Scarborough at the Rendezvous Grand Scarborough. With four nights, my 16yo son and I enjoyed being very comfortable stay in a family room with two double beds, recently renovated room with a balcony. The room met our expectations, although the styling and state of the bathroom, most particularly the shower, was a little ordinary, however clean.
Staying at this hotel, you have the WA coastline, surf beach and cracking sunsets on your doorstep, as well as many very good quality cafes, casual eateries and takeaway eateries.
Scarborough is generally a very relaxed daytime area, that often gets busy on weekends, especially at night, which isn’t a problem with your own sanctuary, in the heart of it. Now the area has been transformed with the addition of a world class outdoor 50m swimming lap pool and other family/ child activities, including rock climbing walls, skate park etc
The Rendezvous Grand was very affordable. It is a little tired and in need of some cosmetic improvement, however I wouldn’t hesitate it to others for a beach side holiday both as a WA or Australian beachside destination for up to a week stay.

We had done our research prior to booking the accommodation at Rendezvous Hotel Scarborough & had been concerned with the comments about cleanliness of the rooms & time frames for room service. Prior to our stay, I personally had made a phone call to Hotel Management & spoke to Andy in relation to the feedback & reviews I had read which wasn't really accepted by the Manager as he continued to reference other websites that had exceptional reviews and feedback. I will confirm that our request for additional linen was provided but upon moving the couch closer to the glass window, we discovered dried up food which hadn't been cleaned up which was a disappointment. We would suggest not staying at the hotel on a Saturday evening if you wish to relax as the nightlife continues to all hours & the general population of the guests are young adults which was quite loud during the preparations for their night ahead. The big issue we both experienced was their valet service - we had paid for this service & had been served by Andy - Hotel Management upon our check-out who literally handed our vehicle key to us without organising the vehicle to be brought out of the valet facility & the customer service that followed wasn't the most appropriate or professional. At least we experienced a beautiful sunset & electrical storm crossing as that was the only highlights of the weekend stay.

I think the Premier Ocean could be the rooms that face the beach side on for views & the Deluxe beach front ones are at the front of the hotel & so face the beach front on for view? Sorry that's just a guess though. I've stayed in Premier Ocean a few times & always had great view.
