Our spectacular ocean views, friendly staff and delicious food make us one of the best beachside bars in Perth. Cblu Restaurant is open for breakfast from 7am and offers not only delicious breakfast and coffee, but breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. The Public Bar/Sports Bar is open at 10am on weekends, (11am weekdays) where you can play a game of pool, have a bet in our TAB area or watch your favourite sport on one of our many big screen TVs. The Saloon Bar opens at 11am and our large windows open right up so you get the beach side feeling while you enjoy your refreshing beverages. Next door we have a 60 room hotel which offers spacious rooms with beautiful ocean views. You can't get much closer to the beach! And don't forget our very handy drive-through Bottle Shop which is open all week long.

Chose this place for its ‘art deco’ vibe and was not disappointed. Short walk along the esplanade to a number of small cafes and shops, the beach is directly across the road and ample parking at the rear of the building. The booking and front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant and the rooms were basic but very spacious, bathroom was clean and fantastic pressure in the shower, bed was uncontrollably soft and I was very much looking forward to a great nights sleep…. If it wasn’t for the unwavering noise from the pub next door and it’s clientele. Extremely disappointed to not be able to enjoy my weekend as I was fatigued. Would not recommend staying here if quiet is your thing

Thank you to the booking and reception staff. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights under sad circumstances and the staff were so understanding and welcoming. The rooms certainly could do with a bit of an upgrade with the furniture, but the room and bathroom were huge and clean. The kitchen area was great with good amenities , the coffee was delicious along with the lovely tea. The air con so very cold and refreshing and the view of the ocean was beautiful from our room 510. It was also so quiet in our room didn’t hear a thing outside of our room. We ordered breakfast each day to our room and dinner to our room over the 2 nights and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. The pizza was one of the best we have ever had and the weekday brekkie at $15 each was great value. For the location, good service and ocean view it is perfectly priced. Thank you to all the staff.

Location was amazing right opposite Cottesloe Beach ,Staff were all very friendly and Helpful every time I went out and re entered the premises The staff at the desk always greeted me . The Hotel is old and showing its age ,The rooms,The room I stayed in 205 was a good size and comfortable , although certainly not deluxe , Room carpet was cleanish but a lot of stains and the bed was comfortable However ,The pillows smelled disgusting as though they had never been replaced or aired ,They smelled old , years of sweat from previous guests ,The lady at reception did explain to me that they do replace the pillows on a regular basis however they certainly did not smell that way ,I was happy that I had bought along my own pillow for the trip, The walls and floors must be paper thin as the noice level was terrible ,Plumbing noises ,loud televisions ,Inconsiderate guests slamming doors that echoed throughout ,And last of all the shower head in the bathroom was more like a garden sprinkler ,Water went everywhere except where it is supposed too ,It was an old relic fitting that would cost little to upgrade to a useable shower head . I ate Each night in the Hotels restaurant and the food was delicious I certainly would recommend the restaurant. The Hotel has a lot of potential but needs money spent on it

Went to the restaurant with my wife and two kids (16 and 21). Arrived and waited at the 'please wait to be seated sign'. The restaurant was approx. 25% full, so not busy. After a wait of approx. 5 mins a server arrived, we advised that we had a reservation. There was no smile, welcome or even a comment. She turned on her heal, and disappeared, apparently, we were to follow her, although we were not asked to do so. We waited. She returned with a really annoyed look on her face and waved in the direction of a group of tables and said "there". I asked which table, she rolled her eyes and said in a sarcastic manner ' the one with the plates'. The passive aggression was palpable. I am not easily annoyed, but this was too much, even for me. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that she was the manager! I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told that there was nobody. She then said a very short and without conviction ‘sorry’ then walked away. It seemed like customers were a real inconvenience. I noted that she stayed in the background for the rest of our time there. It spoilt what should have been a pleasant experience for my family. The waitstaff on our table were great - but the damage had been done.

Great $12 breakfast deal, large juicy burgers with real ketchup, delicious beer batter chips. Family friendly, great ocean view. Young friendly international staff. Large chilled mocha. Cooked breakfast has vegetarian and meat choices, eggs done anyway you like. Delicious.

Stopped in for a mid morning breakfast with a couple of people. Food was good size portions, was simple but tasty and reasonably priced. The seating inside with views over water was really nice and great being it was cold outside. The staff were also very friendly. We will go back before leaving for sure.

This hotel is opposite the beach, great location. Rooms are a little tried but very spacious. Bed was comfortable (had a great sleep) and water pressure in shower one the best we had come across in our travels. There is ample parking and you are within walking distance to restaurants.

The Ocean Beach Hotel is a feature of Cottesloe's life, it's universally known as the OBH. It's on Marine Parade, just over the road from Cottesloe Beach. The OBH has good accommodation that is reasonably priced and it's only a few minutes from Perth's favorite surf beach. The OBH is well liked by locals and families.

I stay here for a night or two every month. I go for work, but also to relax with my husband. Reasonably priced, relaxed feel and beach across the road to sit and relax, or swim if you feel too. You could join the early swimmers on the weekends, but I tend to sit and read. I enjoy a walk along the shore. Magnificent sunsets are observed from the cafe/restaurant has fantastic meal specials and is next door. and connected with the hotel. Great price for the location. Will be back again in a few weeks!

Good sized rooms, situated across the road from the beautiful Cottesloe Beach and just a 5min walk to the iconic spots.
Outdated decor may not suit the traveller expecting modern comforts, particularly bedside power/phone-charge outlets, however the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable.

I'm sorry I don't know whether there are buses. When I was in Perth many years ago I took a train from the CBD to Cottesloe. You could check the timetable on Google. Hope you have a good time there, it is such a beautiful place.
G'Day Mate,
If you are in the Perth CBD you can catch a bus to within 100 metre's of the hotel. Go to the Bus Port at Elizabeth Quay which is located down near the new marina on the river. Catch the 102 bus to stop # 26278 which is "Eric St After Broome St. You can then walk just around the corner to the hotel, It's slightly down hill from the bus stop so it will be an easy walk if you are dragging a suitcase plus the OBH pub is on the corner if its hot and you can stop for a coldie.
Google this bus timetable, Bus Timetable 31 20161009.pdf and it will bring up the current bus schedule and look at "From Perth".
Or if the bus isn't your thing, get the train to Eric Street Station and Uber it from there.
