The location is perfect and we found our unit quiet enough and had good street access with a closed in ground floor balcony on the other side of John st. The unit had 2 Rooms and a bathroom, laundry and shower in one. The unit is dated but it has pretty much all you need and require for a stay. The lighting could be better it was quite dark and the carpets definitely need replacing. But for the price it’s good

Great location, walking distance to beach, Cottesloe hotel, Indiana tea house, ocean beach hotel. Restaurants and coffee bars up the strip. Rooms are large, wifi is ok, include washers and dryers, kitchen facilities, good heater and air con, outdoor sitting area in downstairs units.

Fantastic location. A stones throw from the beach, pub, few shops & coastal beauty. Railway station one km away. What more can one want being right in Cottesloe. There were road works going on though.
The apartment was suitable for our needs. Two very young children & 2 adults. Two bedrooms & open plan lounge, dining with a sufficient kitchen to suit any needs if cooking. Wasn't fancy the building is aging but still very workable & character of the old days. We had a ground floor apartment with room for two cars to be parked outside our unit. Being July weather was cold & windy and even rain but there was heater to use if needed. Never went out the back door but that lead to the pool.
An improvement to install blinds in some of the windows for more privacy would be better & we had a very noisy exhaust fan in the laundry/bathroom. The place was clean and the bed comfortable to sleep in. Yes I would stay here again if the price was right.

Argh for the price paid to listen to the doof doof music of next door pub is insane. Check in should come with ear plugs 😣 Needs a revamp, dated. Need to wash all dishes again as grease all over cutlery/ plates.

Unlike a red, some things don’t get better with age and worth more. Oh dear… what can I say, the bulldozer missed this place. Clearly they are waiting for the re-development opportunity and in the meantime charging CBD rates in a new hotel. It’s kept clean and tidy, staff are great it’s but well overdue for money to be spent.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean front room and it was fantastic. Location was awsome, view was awsome, the unit was spacious. It was great having the pool just a few steps from the back door of unit. The young lady at reception on arrival was so nice & cheery, & check in was a smooth simple process. We will def be back. My only fault was the underground carpark was extremely smelly when parking the car, stunk of bait. We also did have an incident involving one of the long term renters who lived in the complex, this young drunk dude who approached us near the pool earlier in the day and told us he lived there, at around 10pm he decided to let himself in to our chalet unannounced and walked straight in and tried to mingle with us on our balcony until I chased him out and told him to get out, in which he ran off like the wind and filmed him on camera while doing so, so best to keep your back door locked at all times.

My husband and I came back from overseas and needed to be in self isolation due to Covid19 for 14 days. Cottesloe Beach Chalets was perfect for this. Although we sadly couldn't leave the apartment or go for walks along the beach, we have a lovely balcony where we could relax and watch the sunset and see the ocean. The two stories also allowed plenty of living space so we didn't feel confined as you would in a one bedroom hotel room. The chalet has a great self contained kitchen with everything you need. A great place to keep your mental health clear during self isolation!

The apartments are in John street just off the beachroad. We had a reservation for 7 days and asked for a 1 bedroom apartment. We got one and it was very large, very clean, very well equipted, but also very, very dark and almost in the basement of a large building with tags: Beware of burglars, lock all doors etc. There was a porch without view. We didnot want to stay last week of our vacation in a dark "gaslight" apartment and asked for another one. Reception told us there was one with oceanview at the same price (AUD 190) next day. We checked the apartment and we agreed. So next day we went at 10 am to the reception again and were told that everything was ok. So we went to the other apartment again and folks over there told us the would check out definately. We went shopping, visited Scarborough and came back at 2 pm. Reception: "You can't check in, people are still in the apartment" which was not true. So we told them people were out.... Next: "The apartment is not cleaned and maids are gone home" Well, no oceanview Cottesloe Beach apartment for us this time. We checked out immediately.

The location is fabulous - one block from the beach. While the unit was very tired and dated, the main problem was the smell. The cleaning products they used smelt so bad, that despite airing the unit smelt our entire stay. The units all face on to a main carpark, which means, one noisy entoxicated visitor wakes up EVERYONE. Would never return to this accomodation.
