Detailed Reviews
If you check in after hours, be sure that you have crystal clear directions on how to reach the hotel staff. We were locked out of our room with no access (at 1:30 am, after travelling across the globe) due to very unclear procedures for accessing the key after hours. Nevertheless, we were charged for that night and room because “it was your error”.
Location can’t be beat and the housekeeper (Sharon) was top notch.

Hi, I do apologize about your visit. I have just taken over leading the venue and will ensure that this is more detailed, and the process is more watertight for future guests. I am glad though that Sharon delivered great service for you. If you want to contact me personally, I will get back to you within 24 hours at gm@cottesloebeachhotel,com.au

Stayed here last week with my sister in a room overlooking the beach and recommend it highly.
Despite the beer garden/ restaurants below, we were undisturbed and extremely comfortable.
A word must be put in for Martina on Reception who is a delight and seems to have a permanent smile - nothing was too much trouble.
Will certainly return (and before too long)

This luxurious hotel offers rooms with views of the Indian Ocean. The hotel is walking distance to Perth's well-known Cottesloe Beach, which is great for swimming and surfing. There are bars and restaurants, where you can recuperate after a day in the ocean. Cottesloe is south of Perth and north of Fremantle, it's a great place to experience the city's beach culture.

We arrived the evening before the Cott to Rotto swim as family member swimming. We booked for convenience & you can’t get more convenient than directly across the road from the beach!
Parking was a little tricky on the Friday evening but we eventually found a side street nearby to leave our car.
We were welcomed at reception by pleasant staff member & given our room key & directions.
Room was as expected, neat & tidy, clean modern bathroom. It def suited our requirements.
We enjoyed the beer garden for food & beverages, staff everywhere friendly & helpful.
We did encounter some problems with the hot water but concerns were handled efficiently & room rate modified to reflect inconvenience. We understand problems arise, it’s how they are handled that is key & we left feeling satisfied.
We would love to return again for an extended stay & get a room with a balcony.
Hotel does not advertise as 5 star & it is not a brand new establishment. It is a well maintained beachfront property with a positive culture.
Absolutely recommend for a stay near the beach.

Ordered half chicken and fries. Partner ordered fish and chips.
Chicken had obviously been reheated and skin was very blackened.
It tasted as it looked, horrible.
I ate a few small pieces of this dreadful chicken and pushed the plate to one side.
Have to say this was the most terrible dining experience I have ever had.
I cant understand why people invest heavily in businesses and then do themselves no favours by offering such horrible
service.
I won’t ever return to this joint.
Also say a young lady asking the waitress to take a plate of oysters away. I wonder why!

We sadly just stayed for one night but wish we had more time. Our room was clean and quiet even with 2 engagement parties happening around us. Very secure and safe at night. Comfy bed and friendly helpful staff.
Other reviews say how noisy it is at night especially on weekends - it was super busy but our room was quiet. If you want a quiet room don’t go for one above the bar area.
The bathroom was clean and spacious.
Perhaps some USB power points would be helpful (especially if your like and and forget your charger 😊)

We had pre-booked a work dinner weeks ahead. Unfortunately the back restaurant was booked out so we booked the front verandah bar which we presumed was the front balcony.
When we arrived our table was inside the pub, not verandah and our tabke was also actually taken by another group who ignored the prebooked sign, so we were offered another table inside the pub instead of the other group being asked to move from the prebook table.
I think they need to study what a verandah stands for and change their front bar name and it's the inside of the pub, no balcony, no verandah.
Very disappointing, loud and not worth eating at as it was full of drunks and no one else was eating, tbh you had to shout to be heard.
Definitely not a nice place to eat at.

Popped in for a few drinks to meet some friends. We were over from Queensland - the land of many pokies. What was so refreshing was that there are none in WA pubs. The nice thing about that is people sit around talking to each other and pubs feel like how they used to 30 years ago in the East. Well done WA. Anyway this pub is a ripper. Walked in the door to be confronted with a chef manning a table with freshly shucked oysters! You bewdy. They were delicious. Then we managing to get a seat out on the front veranda to watch the famous WA sunset. Drinks were good. Beer garden out the back looked sensational. If I lived in Perth I think this would be my local!!

Cottesloe Beach Hotel is one of the more up-market hang-outs on Perth's coastal fringes. The Verandah Bar is for meeting friends who want a sophisticated catch-up. The Verandah Bar will give you a great view of the sun sinking into the Indian Ocean. It's a place to have a few beers after you've been hitting the surf. The bar has local and craft beers on tap. The Cotesloe Beach Hotel is a great place to laze away the afternoon, and evening.

+1
The Cottesloe Beach Hotel was unexpectedly fabulous. Sure, it was a bummer to realise there was a lot of stairs and no lift when your luggage weighs nearly 30kg pp but the manager had staff assist us before we had time to really notice. This grand old Art Deco beauty originally opened in 1905. The current decor is fresh and modern yet compliments the original fittings perfectly.
We had a king ocean view room which had a spacious balcony which reminded me of a cruise ship balcony.
Leaving the door open with the ocean breeze and sound of the waves.was so nice.
The hotel bar and food was also wonderful and Sundays are very relaxed with live music.
Totally recommend.
