The Views Oasis is a wonderful, welcoming and relaxing hotel. This is not only due to the excellent facilities but also the friendly, helpful and attentive staff.

The hotel has two pools ( indoor and outdoor) and are kept tidy and with regular monitoring. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and when we arrived smelt fresh and clean. We chose a room with partial sea-view which was good but being on the East side of the hotel rarely got any sun. They are regularly serviced, though while we were staying you could surrender some servicing days for €3.00/day deduction from your checkout bill. This is all part of the Hotels commitment to reducing their environmental impact and something we were aware of throughout all of Madeira.

Breakfast was an excellent buffet with a wide choice, fruit, cereals, cheeses and bread were all on offer. There was a cooked breakfast though not exactly "English" it was perfectly acceptable, in addition omelettes can be cooked to order.

The pubic areas were comfortable and stylish though they could get crowded with tour operators giving talks. There was evening entertainment in the bar area; it could be loud and that did extend to the reception seating area up stairs making it difficult to find a place for a quiet drink after Dinner.

There is very little to see in the local area and Hotel runs a courtesy bus into Funchal but this needed to be booked in advance. Alternatively there was a local bus stop just outside the Hotel which offered a fairly regular alternative.

Outside the Hotel there are few bars and restaurants that offer good food and drinks but you have to be prepared to walk on uneven and often steep footpaths.

We enjoyed our stay at the Views Oasis and would consider staying there again.

I decided to take my two teen girls away for a week. Madeira was currently on the green list and we needed some sun on our skin. The hotel is very fresh, modern and very clean. We had a family room for three. This was two single bed together and a sofa bed. This sofa bed wasn’t the best bed but for a week we managed. The room was large and had amazing blackout curtains, en suite with a super shower. There was a very large wardrobe space with drawers and a safe located inside. The room has a fridge, which was empty… for all inclusive they could have had a few bottle of water or other soft drinks chilled in there. I too if the desk was a modern kettle with cups and tea/coffee available.
We had a balcony which was a side view of the sea but it was amazingly perfect.
We rushed to the pool, which is very clean and looks to have been relined with some type of rubber/silicone liner, this made it less pf a slipping risk and very clean. All the tiles around the drains were super clean. Every evening the poolside was cleaned and all sun beds disinfected.
Food was super, lunch wasn’t the best meal of the day and you could tell it wasn’t running to full capacity still. They offer hand gel and disposable gloves so there shouldn’t be any cross contamination. Breakfast was the usual fruit, freshly baked breads, eggs etc and pancakes. Plentiful ohhh and with Prosecco! What more do you want. For lunch we used the poolside bar which offered the most amazing burgers and fries. They also make to order pizza’s, pasta, toasties and fresh salads. Branded drinks are served and everyday there is a freshly baked cake avaliable. Also ice creams were avaliable in the poolside bar.
Dinner is very welcoming and you are seated and served drinks to the table. On a Wednesday you will dine outside in the garden with a live band and a full BBQ, the steak is the best I’ve ever tasted. They have lots of choice and the garlic bread was a winner with us all.
This is a top hotel, in a small compact area. Super clean and over looking the sea. If you come out of the hotel and turn right you will come to a set of stone stairs and this leads to two restaurants and a little pier. We definitely recommend this of an evening and try and have a swim in the sea. It’s so clear. Madeira you were amazing and didn’t disappoint.

Shortly after arriving we learned that a malfunction in the main kitchen had brought frorward a complete refit. The management assembled his team and invited the guests to meet them for a cocktail. The manager expalined the problem and told guests that they could transfer to another hotel if they felt that the work to be done would interfere with their holiday. Only one couple exercised this choice. The rest stayed because this hotel it is just amazing. Yes, we did hear some hammering at times but it didn't disturb us.

With the main didning room out of action guests enjoyed waiter service in a smaller dining area, the choice was not buffet but there was something for everyone! Fabulous food. This is a really caring hotel with happy staff who love to assist whenever they can. We were upgraded to a sea-view room on the ground floor, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was superb. The hotel is set in lovely grounds leading onto a seafront promenade giving about a half mile flat walk by the sea. It was really nice to hear the sea as we lay in bed or sat on our balcony.

My wife enjoyed three massages in the spa and I took advantage of the gym and the lindoor pool. A courtesy runes int Funcal and back fout times a day and a local bus (155) leaves just outside the hotel on a regular basis, including Sundays.

For me, the most impressive feature in the hotels green credentials. No single use plastic in evidence. No horrible little plastic contaiers of butter or jam, just cut what you need from the block of butter or spoon the jam from the dish! No plastic water bottles and drinks served by the pool are in good quality re-useable polycarbonate glasses.

The hotel is not huge or impersonal but really intimate and homely. We were mightily impressed. How to manage a quality hotel without the main kitchen must be a combination of real team work and ingenuity. It all worked so well.

We were all inclusive and the drinks were of a high quality. You can try the whole range of Madeiras from the bar, we loved the Sercial (dry). G&T's were Gordons, what's not to like? Well done to the staff with a special mention to Michaela and the indefatigable Yvonne. This was our seventh visit to Madeira and our first to Four Views Oasis but I and certain that we will be back.

We are currently here so an honest review if you are looking at booking.

1. The whole resort feels very safe and clean. Everything is cleaned regularly and the protocols in place are working.

2. Room. The room is lovely, exactly what we wanted. Fabulous sea view and plenty of space.

3. Food. This is the disappointment. I read other reviews highlighting the food around the pool - this is also mentioned on the travel website. This is not included as part of the all inclusive. This started on Monday. I have no idea why the sudden change. It means between 12:30 and 14:30 you have to use the main restaurant. If you use the pool bar you must pay. If you eat before 12:30 or after 14:30 then it's included. It's very strange. With small children it means we must get out of the pool and get dressed and dried to have lunch, or eat early or late if we don't want to pay on top of the already paid all inclusive price.

4. A'la carte. Two a la carte restaurants are advertised. On arrival, you are given a form highlighting if you don't have your room cleaned that you can get an additional go at the a la carte. Problem is, when you go to book the one included as part of the all inclusive it is already fully booked! I'm not sure why they are encouraging people to skip cleaning in favour of a restaurant treat when they are already full. We are also only aware if one a la carte, so I don't know what happened to the other one advertised...

5. The staff during meals, round the pool and bars etc are fantastic. Helpful, kind etc. Every single one doing a brilliant job. What is a shame is reception. They didn't explain the all inclusive or anything to do with the hotel. If you dare to ask a question she gives you a very dirty look as she is playing on her phone.

Such a shame. The holiday could easily be a five star. All that needs to happen is the pool food part of the all inclusive, a la cartes available and reception staff that are helpful, informative and not scary.

Dear Guest Thank you for your recent comments and while still in resort one of our Assistants will speak to you personally. We appreciate your acknowledging of all the safety measures we have placed in resort. COVID times means obeying to a lot of Local Sanitary Rules, amongst them not using any paper and a change to all digital information. I believe you must have been given an information how to use our APP that has all info about the Hotel and its facilities. When you see one of our staff on the mobile, they are actually going over with guests where they can find menus, services, how to book the Free Shuttle Bus, etc.. not everyone is mobile expert and this does take time away from otherwise a very professional and always friendly service from our Reception Staff. On serving food by the pool we can cope to up to 40 guests on All Inclusive, with numbers changing to 150 we needed to provide at meal times the same quality on a different style buffet service and this is the reason why we changed venues. The restaurant has quite a few tables outside which make it comfortable for those not wanting to change from a bathing suit. We do not impose dress code at lunch time. The a la carte works according to demand and we have added some more nights to accommodate all the necessary requests. I wish you continue to enjoy what is a 5 Star Holiday in Four Views Oasis Sergio Costa General manager

The hotel was lovely, doesn’t look much from the outside but once you’re inside you can see how clean, modern and well managed it is. The ladies on the reception were lovely every time we spoke to them, however the male staff were noticeable more surly and not friendly. The rooms were impeccably clean with tea and coffee, however mind that the balconies are very small with no drying space. We didn’t stay all inclusive the the included breakfast buffet was great with a wide selection, we did try the buffet dinner one night but was not impressed, everything was lukewarm, chewy and not very flavourful. The pool area is clean with plenty of sunbeds (salt water pool so goggles definitely needed), although the drinks were very overpriced (2.70 euros for tap Pepsi in small glass which did taste awful) so advise to buy your own drinks in the local shops. Complimentary towels which you could change for clean ones once for free, small fee thereafter to change them again. The carpark is small but with a lot of spaces, if full the road can be parked on in surrounding area. Definitely recommend a car as not a lot in the area so imagine you can would be get bored very easily without transport. All in all, very affordable and would stay again.

We stayed here in July, during the COVID19 pandamic. At arrival in Madeira, everyone got tested and had to wait in their hotel. We got our room quickly to settle.

The hotel has strict regulations due to the COVID19 situation and we felt very safe. Wearing a mask is mandatory, you have to clean your hands while entering the hotel & you get a tool to open doors/push buttons. The beds at the pool got cleaned after a person used it and the 2m distance was kept.

The rooms are very spacious (we booked a studio with seaside view) and clean. Housekeeping comes daily to change the bedsheets/towels (if you’d like). The kitchen utensils were clean and there were enough utensils available. The fridge is big enough to store a lot - very nice!

There are 2 small grocery stores nearby for the essential products - but I recommend going to the bigger stores in uptown Caniço. If you ever forget something: there’s a small store in the hotel itself, which sells products as well.

We didn’t really go to the pool that often, but it was spacious and there are enough beds. If you want to go to the beach (pebble beach, though, be aware of your ankles) you can just walk out of the hotel and there you are!

There is a busstop up the hill, which is bus 155. Just check the bus stop in google maps for the actual times. They were very punctual. (€2,20 per person to Funchal, cash)

ANYWAY, loads of information, but the hotel is absolutely amazing and they deserve their 4 stars. I would definitely come back.

Just returned from a 7 nights stay with my family and was honestly a fantastic holiday. If covid is a concern for you then please rest assured that the hotel are on top of everything. The cleanliness is spot on from the rooms and communal areas to the sun loungers being disinfected every day. The food in the restaurant is lovely but the pool bar selection is better and the steak sandwich a must!
I don't think they are used to having lots of children but they tried hard to accommodate them all.
The location, albeit fairly out of the way, is actually beautiful being right on the promenade looking out to the sea. I would 100% come back to the four views oasis!

We really enjoyed our time at the Four Views Hotel, we were greeted and checked in with ease and all the reception staff were very helpful. All of the team from cleaners, bar staff, restaurant, and reception were great.

We had a sea view room however most of the view was from the rooftop of the building in front. Despite this, the room had enough space was spotless and comfortable.

We were half board and for breakfast and dinner there was a wide choice, the restaurant staff were v.helpful and there was enough variety that over 10 days we were never bored of the options available!

We traveled with our young kids and Anna & Ariel were very good with the children. We can't speak highly enough of them both! There were kid's activities from 10 -11 and sometimes 3-4, the pool is a saltwater pool but very clean and big enough to fully enjoy being poolside.

The only improvement I would make would be for the evening entertainment to be more enticing. The children's evening entertainment was too late in the evening. The singers were rather tame and the on the night where there was a DJ he wasn't able to get a party atmosphere going.

With regards to the location, the waterpark is a short cab ride away, the closest sandy beach is a 20 min cab journey and Funchal is around 15 mins away.

When we arrived in Madeira airport the jet 2 staff were really good and our journey to the hotel was all planned out very well. We got to the hotel an hour before checking in, the woman at the reception told us to use the facilities and come back at 2pm to go up to our room. Me and my boyfriend had been up since 3am so we were both hungry and grabbed some lunch at the hotel. We booked the hotel as half board which on the website explained we were entitled to 2 meals a day. As we had lunch , the woman who served us sounded very cross and angry and we explained that we aren’t sure whats going on and asked if we could have some lunch. We then got stared on whilst eating which made us feel very uncomfortable. Me and my boyfriend both had a spoon full of pasta and 2 slices of bread on our plate and was then charged 19 euros each for this. This was a bad start. The woman in reception then explained to us that we can only have breakfast and tea , which is fine but wished they had told us this earlier and for the staff in the restaurant not to be rude.

On the positive not the rooms are very clean and plenty of space. We also had a lovely view from the balcony looking out at the sea. There was a lovely bar man called Leonardo that we chatted to, and he helped us recommending with what cocktails to have and also what activities we could do in the town. There was a bus that picked us up from the hotel to the town, and back, this was very helpful as we were unfamiliar with the area.

On the negative side the cleaner keeps putting a bottle of water in our room, which is nice but expecting us to pay. We didn’t get any drinks included in our stay and everything goes on a tab so we can’t keep updated with how much money we spent or how much we have left .Food in the hotel is not at a high standard at all. I understand there are hundreds of people staying but the food wasn’t nice. The meal on the first night made me very ill and vomiting. This has made us eat out which we have to spend more money. Not all the food have labels or signs saying what they are and I strongly believe it should. I don’t eat any seafood and because some meat didn’t have any labels I couldn’t eat it in case I was ill. I did ask a few members of staff what meat was what but some didn’t understand me or some replied in Portuguese, so there was a language barrier. The entertainment isn’t great here with not much of an atmosphere. I would recommend it for a family with children but as a young couple here , nothing really catches our eyes. The pubs and bars here are quite far so you would have to pay around 25 euros there and another 25 euros to come back , which isn’t worth it.
Indoor pool - has time slots for children and adults to be separate, but everytime we went (adult time only) there were children there unsupervised and were shouting and splashing everyone, so this wasn’t much of a chill time for us adults

All together it was a beautiful location on a stunning island with walking distance from cafe, shops and restaurants. Just a shame about the other things I mentioned. Would come to Madeira again but not to the hotel.

We stayed B&B and enjoyed the amazing selection of food. The chef making omelettes, the staff always clearing tables and stocking up food. They also offer a lunch box for a small fee. The entertainment team are brilliant we fell in love with Issy she really gets you involved in poolside games. Met some really nice people from getting involved.Tony the pool guy is so good at his job. Please people use a towel before laying your sweaty oilly body on the mats. There’s nothing worse than seeing those stains which are really hard to get out. The hotel should charge for the cleaning as towels are free. I also loved the fact you get €3 per day if you choose to not have your room cleaned or need new towels. Perfect for me as I rather use my own towels and diidnt need room clean as we was hardly in it. There are some cute little family run restaurants and you can get a set meal for less than €18. We regularly visited the “snack bar Mare” down by the beach try the floating ice cream drink and the fried maze with squid head. Also the mussels are tasty. One tip is don’t order a taxi into Funchal just jump in one that has dropped someone off as it’s a lot cheaper. Must go on the bus to Funchal you can see alot more of the island. Lastly go for long walks in the evening work of the food.

If you email the hotel they should let you know about the building work. The buffet was not open during lunch but another couple on all inclusive told us that if there is an event on including a buffet they could join it. There was only one such event during our week and no one informed us of that. At lunchtime we ate in the poolside bar which had a good menu for savouries, very limited puddings : a daily cake and a choice of cornettos or ice lollies.

yes. They give you a list of what is included when you check in. Not sure every cocktail would be on the list but there are a number.
