I recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Marcelina, and unfortunately, my overall experience was marred by the unprofessional behavior of one particular male manager or who I think is the officer in charge. While I appreciate the efforts of the hotel staff to create a pleasant environment, the conduct of the manager was deeply disappointing.
During my stay, I observed that this manager interacting with hotel staff in a manner that can only be described as unprofessional. This behavior was evident not only in his communication with guests but also in his interactions with the hotel staff. As a guest and a former hotelier, witnessing such behavior from a manager not only diminished the quality of my stay but also created a negative atmosphere within the hotel.
One specific incident that stood out occurred when I overheard him engaged in a conversation with someone else. The tone and language used were unprofessional and did not align with the standards of hospitality one would expect from a reputable establishment. It was disheartening to witness a manager representing the hotel in such a manner. With his behavior this individual should not be working in a hotel.
The impact of his behavior extended beyond my personal observations, as I noticed a visible discomfort among the hotel staff. This created an unfavorable atmosphere that undoubtedly affected the overall guest experience.
I believe it is crucial for the management of the hotel to address these concerns promptly. A manager's role is pivotal in shaping the perception of the hotel, and the unprofessional conduct displayed detracts from the otherwise positive aspects of the establishment.
In the interest of maintaining a high standard of hospitality and ensuring a positive guest experience, I recommend that the hotel management or owner address this matter promptly. Training programs on professional conduct and effective communication may be beneficial for him and the staff alike.

Bed looks clean and tidy but when i opened the comforter i noticed that big not washed blood stained. I just wonder how is the eyesight of the housekeeping in this hotel if big stain they cant notice.
(THEY HAVE NOTE IN THEIR ROOM THAT STAINED LINENS WILL BE CHARGED ACCORDINGLY ) but how come it was not changed?
Called the reception to asked for assistance but no one came for more than 30 mins until my second call to look for their manager.
(Housekeeping and a receptionist came and say SORRY!)
Good location, across KCC mall, good interior design, big beds and price is affordable.

This hotel offers basic accommodation ... air-conditioned room with private toilet/shower room, TV with cable channels, toiletries, etc. It's affordable and breakfast is included in the price. But its best asset is its location. It's right across KCC Mall ... the biggest mall in Zamboanga City ... and is just a few minutes away from the airport, which makes it ideal for travellers. There are also eateries nearby (like KFC and Dunkin' Donuts). It is also along one of the city's main thoroughfares, making it very accessible both by private and public transportation.
