We had the chance to stay at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park recently for a short-term stay during the weekend. It is located in a quiet area within Falls Church and definitely provides the essential needs for the business traveler. The reason that we wanted to stay here is to disconnect for the weekend and feel that we were able to accomplish this goal at the end of the day. One of the key biggest key features about this Marriott is that parking is free in their main garage. It is a big of a walk from the garage to the main entrance, but you can either leave guests in the main entrance and then drive to the garage. Even though it feels that construction is happening in the surrounding areas of the hotel, the hotel has been able to relocate their front desk and main restaurant to a large lobby area as you come in. Restaurant staff was friendly and always willing to help, but front desk staff was a hit or miss. I had some pleasant experiences as I checked in, but did not see the same level of service provided as I checked out of the hotel. It was just a bit cold and transactional, but I can understand that staff might have been overwhelmed too with guests. Their Hospitality Suite was well equipped and spacious compared to other guest rooms. There is no separation between the living room and bedroom, giving you the feeling of being in a studio suite, but it still gives you significant amount of space and comfort needed. I would recommend either booking this room or their presidential suite if you are looking to host or have plenty of stay during your stay. At the end of the day, I would recommend this Marriott. It may be dealing with renovations or construction issues, but it still provides the services that one guest might expect from Marriott hotel. I will consider returning to it if I need to be in the area for business.…
This used to be my favorite hotel near Inova Hospital in Fairfax, VA. Unfortunately, the last five years have not been kind to this Marriott. Check in - they did not have my correct dates despite displaying my confirmation email. The front desk staff was far from pleasant about the discrepancy. Wrong room - I reserved a room with a king bed . I received a room with two small queen beds. The room was just worn looking. Bathroom was dated and utilitarian. Gross #1 : boogers on the wall adjacent to the bed Gross#2 : dead bugs on window sill just outside room. No area on hotel website to privately relay my displeasure. Room 1409 Reservation number 98684828 Dr. Kenneth Haft
A beautiful hotel nestled in a quiet office complex. We arrived early and were warmly greeted by Cal who was very helpful with check in and hotel information. The rooms and beds are comfortable and quiet. The restaurant is also very good. A beautiful walking trail is located near the hotel which was nice for an afternoon adventure. Only issue was our rooms air kept switching to heat which made our room a bit hot.
This is a good hotel. The mobile key did not work. It is an older hotel that does show signs of wear. The gym is an old suite they converted. The equipment is mix and match and not very good. The staff was friendly. There is a lot of space and the location of the hotel was good for that part of town. My bed was very hard and there was no chair to sit except for the desk chair. I do plan to stay here again but it was a bit worn down.
I spent a very, very nice three day stay at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park. Firstly, the hotels price per night was the lowest of the eight hotels that I stayed in during my fifteen day US stay, and this was a Marriott Five Star property! I was upgraded into a very nice and large Suite. This was fantastic as I had many family members that came to the hotel for a nice visit and this large suite was quite welcomed. This Marriott is a full service Marriott property and also has a great Executive Lounge. I used the lounge as a great meeting place during their Happy Hour with new friends. Finally, the Casual Restaurant in Falls Church which was located on the ground floor had a very, very nice breakfast buffet. So if you find yourself in the Northern Virginia area and want a great hotel which is close to the beltway and many of the top Malls in the area I strongly suggest that you book your next stay at the Falls Church Marriott Fairview Park, you will not be sorry, trust me.…
