Hotel's Favorite
Stayed one night just passing through. The digital key was awesome and so convenient allowing us to bypass front desk check in and go straight to our room. Same with check out Room was very clean for most part. Maybe under the toilet seat wasn’t cleaned entirely but overall no issues with that. Only issue was someone smoked weed late at night which flooded our room with the smell of the devils lettuce. Front desk employee was great about walking around to see where it came from and bringing us febreeze which did help some. Bed was comfy and breakfast was excellent. Lots of good food to choose from and the gal serving it was super nice and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

It's typical Hampton Inn fare. However, the place is way overdue for an overhaul. The rooms smell "old". There are very few power points to plug anything in to. More updated places usually have a lot more places to plug things in.
The bed comforter above the sheets are very "scratchy". The beds are also old and creak and groan when you get in and out in some rooms.
There is no Hampton "shop" in this hotel like a lot of others.
Breakfast is, again, standard stuff - powdered eggs, cereal, etc.
They have some issues with water pressure and temperature. One morning I couldn't even take a shower because I ran out of time waiting for the water to warm up.
Location is convenient if you are visiting the Volvo Truck plant but there is very little else around (not really the hotel's fault)

We stayed here one night while on the road traveling to PA from GA. This was one of the best hotels we've been in and would not hesitate to stay again or stay longer should we be in the area. It was welcoming, clean, and all as should be/expected. We did have one small issue where food had been left in the microfridge and gone bad - I only mention because someone was knocking on our door to take care of it by the time my husband hung up phone from reporting. They were very attentive and quick to take care of it. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Also they did offer a full breakfast - eggs, sausage, biscuit etc. While the breakfast area was not open (similar to other hotels at this time) they placed the breakfasts in to go styrofoam trays to take back to our room. So we felt like the breakfast included was honored fully also.

Although the room was "non-smoking" we picked up a smoke smell upon entering. We also found a used towel on the floor and the previous occupants underwear behind the door. The sticker seal on the door was not broken which means either that housekeeping was not thorough or housekeeping forgot their underwear after showering. I'm happy that we sanitized everything ourselves prior to touching anything. Management was notified. There is a Mexican restaurant within walking distance and a Bojangles just up the street. A gas station is next door as well.

Being in a college town area we were pleased to see a sign that the hotel does not rent to the locals. Reason why is college kids loud noisy and partying and the hotel had just had a early 2021 top to bottom renavation everything is brand new . We arrived at the hotel were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded In our room choice . Room was spacious typically of a Hampton nice size shower room was quiet hotel is surviving hot breakfast again, sizeable t vs and they were mounted with a swivel so you could turn them in the room .

A little background to set the stage. We had planned on visiting The Greenbrier on our return trip from Florida. Not wanting to pay the crazy costs of staying there, we booked a room at two Hampton Inns on either side of The Greenbrier. We are big fans of Hampton Inns and have stayed at them many times usually to our satisfaction. When we booked our stays the price was typical of Hampton Inns, the $130 a night range. Our plans then changed and we had to move everything up by a week. When Mrs. M called the Dublin Hampton Inn she was told that the price would be $240 instead of the original $130 because there was a Virginia Tech football game that night. We decided to go ahead and pay that since we weren't ready to change our other plans. If they raised the prices by that much after a natural disaster they would be accused of price gouging. I guess doing it to excitable Hokies is just good old supply and demand capitalism. When we arrived Mrs. M asked for water as that is something we expect as Hilton Honors members. The desk clerk informed her that it is now corporate policy to only give out free water bottles to gold and diamond members. We were just silver ( Hokies? ) which didn't get us two bottles of water. He did give her one bottle. FYI the extra $110 we paid for our room would have purchased 864 small bottles of water at the Dollar General across the street. Please remember that Hampton Inns are franchises and not all the same. Water over the dam for these two honorary Hokies.

Unexpected hospitality at this Hampton Inn. From an accomodating early check-in from Daniel, to the General Manager Kelly on the third floor insuring all rooms were in excellent condition, we experienced hospitality, warmth, and welcome. Darla even got in on the acts of kindness with a super housekeeping assist with cutlery and plates for in-room supper. The units were large, upscale, with a huge Smart TV for March Madness! More than enough pillows! The breakfast was hot and tasty. We'll be back on this convenient stop along I81. Thank you all for your friendliness.

The complimentary breakfast is the best of anywhere I've stayed. The staff is genuinely friendly and very willing to help. Made group reservation ahead of time and there was always someone available to take my calls when I had to make changes or had a question. They made sure everything was set up ahead of time to make our check-in process and stay as enjoyable as possible. Older facility but well kept and rooms were clean.

I’ve been a Diamond Member for years now. The Dublin Hampton INN maybe one of the oldest buildings, but This Hampton is the most well kept location in the business. The place is always remodeled and always clean. The staff really take ownership in their work and work place! Bravo Zulu to all of you!

Overall, Kelly was by far one of the best hotel staff I have come across. Traveling alone she made me feel safe and accommodating to some special needs I had. She really went out of her way to not only make sure I was safe in the hotel but safe once I left. I didn’t experience much of the hotel but my room and the facilities I did come across seemed well kept and especially clean.
