We were greeted by a very pleasant staff upon arrival. The room was very clean and accommodating. The pillows were fluffy and the mattress was very comfortable. The lobby was clean and inviting. The food bar was excellent with quite a variety of choices. The egg omelets, sausage, biscuits, and gravy were very good. The 24/7 coffee was such a nice bonus. Upon leaving, the staff bid us a good day and safe travels. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. And, we would certainly stay there again.

This hotel does it right. Front desk clerk was masked and behind plexiglass. Sanitized pens were separate (and clearly marked) from pens that had been used but not re-sanitized. Breakfast orders were taken and filled by the front desk clerk. The hot options were microwaveable in the room microwave.
The room was extremely clean and one of the best designed rooms for a traveler. Plenty of horizontal space and with hooks above. There were many outlets, and they were conveniently placed.
The hotel was also very accommodating with a late checkout.
We did find the bed to be softer than we like. Also, the bathroom could use some hooks.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

My family and I stayed at this hotel when we went to take my daughter to Va Tech. The hotel is a bit further from the school than we would have liked but I am so glad we chose this one. The hotel was clean, the sanitizing stations were never empty, the staff wore masks and if you requested something from the front desk, they had it at your door before you could hang up the phone. The manager Rhonda, is one of their greatest assets. She greeted guests, worked the front desk, answered emails, cleaned rooms and did everything else to make it pleasant. When we arrived, there was a bit of a "hiccup" but Rhonda turned it around and quickly! She truly cares and that seems to be rare these days. I will stay here when we return because it is worth the small extra distance to the school. You cannot replace great customer service and hospitality! I definitely recommend this location if you are coming anywhere near his area!

Had an enjoyable 3 night stay over Memorial Day weekend for our event at Claytor Lake. Rhonda (GM) & Margie were a fantastic help for us by giving us 2 rooms next to each other for other family members. The hot breakfast was surprisingly good (Covid times) and we were happily required to use their plastic gloves and wear a mask when handling food. The guy taking care of that area was very efficient and helpful to whatever we needed. The heated pool was fantastic for a few of our little ones. Our king room was great and large. You have a choice of 3 levels of housekeeping and we chose #2, only swap out the towels & washcloths. There were only a couple of very small issues that Margie took care of straight away. We'll stay there again. All of their staff were very kind.

Great stop. Desk staff at check in and check out friendly and efficient. Very clean and comfortable room. Special mention .... Hunter, the breakfast bar employee, went way out to accommodate my dietary restrictions and make me feel safe and cared for, especially in light of being on the road during COVID. Thank you, Hunter. I hope Holiday Inn appreciates you.

I want to show my appreciation for the excellent hospitality of Rhonda, Corbin and desk clerk. We arrived late in the day and after dropping off our passengers discovered that all services at the airport had ceased for the evening. There was also no Uber or taxi service. The hotel did not have a shuttle van. The hotel clerk promptly arranged the prompt pick up of this very tired air crew. They also realized that we would need transportation back to the airport the next day and without our request, Rhonda brought us to the airport in a timely fashion. I want to thank everyone at this hotel.

While breaking up a 12 hour drive, we pulled in to spend the night. The check in process was super easy. The woman at the desk very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool and exercise room that looked ok. Lots of places to eat nearby. The best part was the lady working breakfast. They actually had hot food which in the days of Covid is unusual. The breakfast lady was so helpful and we really appreciated her.
Beware - I put the address in our google maps and it took us to someone’s home 3 miles in the opposite direction. I’m pretty sure it was google’s mess up. This hotel is on the exit just off the interstate right next to Shoney’s. Don’t drive too far.

This hotel is newly renovated and clean. The staff is super friendly and ready to answer all of your questions. Beds are comfy and I love the firm vs. soft pillow options. Bathrooms are well lit and the water pressure in the shower is AMAZING! Would absolutely stay here again!

I have to say this IHG hotel is probably the best one at which I have ever stayed! I travel for business and stay at many IHG hotels. The rooms are clean and the beds are outstanding. The staff is friendly and ready to help if needed. The breakfast is the usual fare but is fresh and plentiful. Everyone was wearing VT Hokie gear, which is always a plus.
If you find yourself traveling through Southwest Virginia, stop by the Holiday Inn Express in Dublin. You really won't be sorry!

I should’ve paid more attention to the 1 star ratings. We stopped here passing through from Mississippi to Pennsylvania. First, we had to hunt down an employee to check in. No one wants that after 12 hours on the road. Then there was an issue checking in. Not sure if it was user error or a computer issue. Finally we get to the room & it smelled so bad. It was like a mix of pee & cleaner & mildew. Immediately made me nauseous. Then we noticed the water was brown. Not very inviting for showers or brushing teeth. Breakfast was no better. We went down a little before 9 & most things were gone. I tried to ask if more egg would be put out but the staff was not approachable at all. Very short & rude & talking about how she hates her job. The gravy had a long hair on top. I thought a bagel was a safe option but there wasn’t any cream cheese. Staff was MIA. Very disappointing for Hilton. I thought they had higher standards for staff.
