We had a great stay at this Homewood Suites. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we appreciated having a refrigerator and freezer. The staff was especially welcoming and went out of their way to serve everyone. The evening reception was a big plus as we could make a meal from the food and drink without having to get back on the road.

This hotel does a lot of things right. The sitting room, kitchen, & bedroom are very nice & bright. Since it’s kind of a home away from home, there’s a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, cupboards, & eating & cooking ware. The bedroom has an overhead light, a real rarity in hotel rooms & suites. The “bathroom” lighting is great in the sink/vanity area. There is abundant lotion in a large container attached to the wall, & shampoo & conditioner are attached to containers in the shower/tub. I really liked the lotion thing.
The deal breaker is that there is no actual bathroom. The sink/vanity area is part of the bedroom, so when anyone needs to use the sink or mirror, lights have to be tough on folks trying to sleep. We had 2 queens, so that would have created a problem for a family of four trying to sleep in those beds when someone went to bed later or got up earlier. The toilet & shower/tub are in a separate room, but there is no mirror so it would be hard to use that area as a substitute for the sink/vanity. There is also no mirror in the sitting room or kitchen area, so while someone could brush teeth there, you couldn’t put in eye drops, etc. At this point that sink/vanity area is built into the room, but a door could probably be added to close off that area. That is truly a terrible design. The suite is similar to Embassy & Drury suites without that problematic “bathroom”thing.
I gave 4 stars because of the nice folks at the desk & the ladies who served the Wednesday night meal. I doubt that we’ll knowingly stay anywhere else with this “bathroom” design.

Our first time staying outside Roanoke. This hotel is newer with some of the most pleasant staff during a busy holiday season. We stayed 3 nights. Hotel was spotless. All staff greeted us and offered us assistance for anything we needed. Only small issue was the internet which we had difficulty logging on with our phones. We were able to use the internet on our laptop. Breakfast was tidy and was warm food. Not a big line for the waffle maker. The breakfast attendant greeted us and offered to help. This location is about 30ish minutes outside Roanoke and in a quiet location. Food lion right down the street. We enjoyed sightseeing and my son enjoyed the indoor pool. It’s been a while since we have stayed at this brand and we would consider again to stay here next time we travel.

My son and I stayed here two nights. We both are vegetarians. For breakfast both mornings of our stay, the only hot food option contained meat. It is understandable that the hotel had to make modified breakfast arrangements due to the pandemic. If a single hot food option is being offered at breakfast, ideally it should be suitable for all guests. Or, perhaps two hot food options could have been offered.

There were adequate cold food breakfast options available for us.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The only entrance to the bathroom was through the bedroom. Ideally, direct access to the bathroom should be available from the bedroom and the living room, where the pullout sofa bed is located (my sleep location during the stay).

I found a dirty cooking pot in the kitchen area, which I turned in at the front desk.

I felt very welcome from the time I walked in the door until we checked out. The property was spotless, the rooms are sealed once they are clean, beds are comfortable and a decent breakfast especially during COVID19. Every one was following the CDC guidelines and hand sanitzer was available through out the facility. Will definitely stop and stay here again!

This is such a nice hotel. The staff is lovely, it is clean and well-maintained. The kitchen area is well stocked, and everything was clean. The bed and pillows are excellent, the bathroom is large and clean, and the amenities are great including a very nice and clean pool and fitness center and strong internet. Cases for beverages and food are well-stocked, USA Today provided free. We were first here when the hotel opened several years ago and were the first to occupy our room. A few years later, it remains a clean, friendly, efficiently run hotel, We were glad to be back.

My wife and I had an emergency and we had to drive 5 hours to Blacksburg and find a hotel while we were caring for a family member. The number is days we intended to stay was unknown, however the staff went out of their way to accommodate us during this time, extending our reservation each day and allowed us to remain in our original room the entire time and honored the rate were were quoted through the length of stay. It was a small gesture but it made the trip that much easier! Well Done!

Stayed here while travelling to Syracuse NY from Florida (to and from) and had such a great experience! The hotel was very clean, the rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a busy hotel, and they are doing a fine job of keeping it clean and staff trained! We enjoyed it so much we joined hilton honors club and chose another hilton for the next night in Binghamton, ny (which we will never stay at again and really make us appreciate THIS hotel and staff even more.) On our return to florida, we called ahead to book this hotel as our 1/2 way stop for the night and encountered the same wonderful staff, clean rooms and experience. We asked the desk clerk for a quiet room and she selected one for us away from stairwells, elevators and ice machines. Quiet night sleep!! The location is very convenient and safe. Definitely a keeper and worth staying at!!

Stayed here 2 or 3 other times and have always enjoyed it--this time was no exception. The location right off I-81 is so convenient. We were able to check in using our digital key so no contact necessary and our room was ready an hour before our check in time. The property is very well maintained and our suite was immaculate. The kitchenette was very well stocked. 24 hour coffee, tea and cocoa in the breakfast area is a nice bonus. The pool is also nice and clean and stocked with towels. The hotel was very quiet despite being full and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning has a nice selection of items and was more than enough. All of the staff we encountered were friendly. Highly recommend a stay at this hotel!

These are weird times to travel. Questions arise about services that are available, room selection is uncertain, etc. When you have someone who, on the phone and in person, exudes friendliness and professionalism, it goes a long way to assuage any concerts. Jeremy is such a person. Any organization would be thrilled to have a person like him in their ranks. We’ll be back!
