We are a local family that due to an ice storm had been without power for 4 days when we decided to stay in a hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly, kind and ready to help. The sweet woman who checked us in was managing a room full of people with ease and still upbeat and friendly (hope her son has a great first birthday). Then in the morning Frances and gracie greeted us for breakfast. These hard working ladies were so thoughtful throughout the service but also filled up my water bottle to go. Thank you all.

We stayed here for a college campus visit to Virginia Tech. The pricing was very fair, the room itself was very comfortable with all the amenties and creature comforts of home. The location was perfect as a simple walk could have you eating whatever cusine you desired or if you wanted, just dine downstairs without having to leave the building. The contiental breakfast was moderstly ok but for a small fee you could like a champ with their choices or eggs and back or and biscuits (the traditional American breakfast). Feeling to full? Wel, just out back is a walking trail and foot bridge to exercise and burn off some of that food or take your pet.

The hotel does have a no pet policy, however, we were not given any grief or issues with my wife’s ESA dog as the staff treated her like she belonged their.

Speaking of the staff, very friendly, very professional and definitely went the extra mile to make sure you were taken care of.

Will definitely stsy here again especially if my son does decide to attend VT!

The hotel was very clean. The pillows and bed were not to my liking (they were more soft) but my husband slept well. We had breakfast and Gracelyn was our waitress. She was very attentive, quick, helpful, and polite. She made sure to keep us updated with our food progress and also gave great recommendations for favorite and easy foods for toddlers. She was such a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond. She offered to grab our toddler water when he asked so we wouldn’t have to get up and grab it ourselves. The biggest con, in my opinion, was the room temperature. It was too hot, stuck at 79 degrees in the winter, and turning it down or off made no change to the temperature. We have tried turning the temperature to AC to see if that improves the situation or not. My Mom frequently stays here and the room temperature is always a problem no matter what time of year it is.

Was at this location for two weeks back to back. Had an issue with my room and Bella came to the rescue. She couldn’t have been nicer and took care of the issues and made everything right. She went above and beyond to make this customer happy. Well done!!! Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Drinks and food were great in the bar area. Keith is a great bartender. Don’t bet against him on Jeopardy. Dude kills it. He was so much fun. Ebony was great also on Sundays. She has a lot of personality and was very fun to talk to. The food was also really good. Burgers were cooked right, breakfast was always fresh and tasted good. All staff including kitchen made us feel like we were part of the family. One morning there were no French toast sticks. I made the comment to the nice man working,(not complaining but said I was looking fired to them) a few minutes later I had an entire plate on my table. He made them just for me. Can’t say enough about this entire staff. Great job to this hotel staff. They were the difference!!

Room was very clean and spacious. All of the staff we interacted with were fantastic. Ebony who checked us in (and served us at the bar) was so helpful and friendly. She really made us feel welcome. The breakfast was very high quality with many options (including fruit and chicken). We will definitely stay here again when we’re next passing through.

The lobby had a cool 60s feel to it while also being modern--and the staff was welcoming and helpful, both when we checked in and checked out. They were glad we were there even though, based on the parking lot, they had a lot of guests. Since there were so many people in the hotel, I thought it might be noisy or maybe even a little dirty, but it was very clean and quiet. We never heard any other guests once we were in our room. Our room was large and well-appointed, being very conducive to handling multiple suitcases while still giving everyone space and allowing us to keep all of our bags off of the floor, which is always a feat when you're traveling with multiple people. The beds were neat, sheets nice and clean, and mattresses extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the towels were folded nicely (we loved the "bow" created by the towels as well as the points on the toilet paper rolls!). The room smelled clean, but not doused in chemicals and even the baseboards were free of dust and lint. I checked! Thank you to all the people who clean the rooms. You are doing a fantastic job! This hotel was probably the cleanest one that I've been in in years. I have been a Marriott girl for decades, but after a poor experience this week at another hotel, I'm seriously reconsidering changing my allegiance to Holiday Inn. Well done, staff at the Holiday Inn Christiansburg Blacksburg!!!

First off, kudos for excellent customer service ~ Kennedy at the front desk was fantastic! Cheerful & helpful, friendly & smiling, a real sweetheart !!! Hotel is sleek & modern. My room was spacious & spotless. Fridge/micro & in-room Keurig. Free wifi w/great signal & lots of easily accessible outlets bedside & desktop for charging electronics. Walk-in shower & generous supply of bright white towels. Lovely linens, fat fluffy pillows & super comfortable bed. Noticed Texas Roadhouse, Red Robin & Panda Express within walking distance but also there was an on site restaurant/bar. Two zippy elevators. Saw some kids happily enjoying the pool. Didn't use the exercise equipment but it looked like it had everything needed for a good workout. So glad I opted to stop here rather than drive on into Knoxville as I had originally intended :-D Slept well & left out feeling refreshed. As a vegetarian I skipped most of the breakfast buffet, but was happy to have fresh fruit & hot coffee. Can't remember her name, but there was a cheerful gal tending the continental. Highly recommend!

We specifically requested a wheelchair accessible room and called days before to make sure they had one available for my father in law. The bathroom had no safety bars by the toilet. He ended up almost falling by holding on to the towel bar that promptly fell off. The rooms for the rest of our party were fine but don’t advertise as wheelchair accessible if there are no transfer bars!!

The internet in room 507 worked ok early in the morning, but as more users got on line the internet bogged down and was unusable. Grinding and grinding and grinding without getting pages loaded. This was on multiple devices which worked just fine prior to the hotel stay, and again after leaving the hotel. When we called the front desk we were told the internet was working perfectly. Right. In that case, if you plan on using the hotel internet you may want to book a room at a different hotel. The hotel response to this was basically, "Too bad".

This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at in a long time. Our room was perfectly clean. No bugs, no strange hairs. Super comfy bed with nice pillows. Hot breakfast was great: grits, potatoes, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, and more! It was the tastiest hotel breakfast I think I’ve ever had. The hot breakfast wasn’t free, but our kids ate it for free. There is a free continental breakfast. I wish all hotels for this price were this great.

The HI is approximately 15 minutes from I-81. You need to stay on business 460 and look for the furn off to Rt. 114. It's a bit tricky, so watch your lane.
