This was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in! Normally the room rate is $40 per night, but for graduation weekend they tripled the rate to $120 per night. It was an absolute ripoff. This is an old property that is in the process of being updated(?). The ground floor King room we got (supposedly the only room left when we booked, even though the sign out front said "Vacancy" the entire time we were there) had been freshly painted with the most garish bright blue on two walls and equally hideous bright green on the others. That was about the extent of the renovation.
The carpet was old and stained, the bedspread was dingy and the too-small sheet was streched tight over the king mattress, barely covering the top of the mattress allowing you to see the bare mattress sides without any mattress pad under the sheet. The cafe-style curtains were missing rings and coming down from the rods in some rooms that we could see from the parking lot. The tiny bathroom without any exhaust fan had a tub and stool, but the sink was outside the bathroom with the smallest oval immitation marble sink and no vanity top for putting any of your toiletries. You had to set your things on top of the mini fridge with microwave oven stacked on top on the other side of the room. The worst part is there was no closet or armoir to hang your clothes and no hangers. We had to buy our own hangers and hang our shirts and jackets on the curtain rod, after calling the office to borrow an iron (no ironing board either, so we ironed our clothes on the bed)!
I would definitely not recommed this hotel. You would be better off staying an hour away if you have to.
