Filthiest place I've ever stayed. Room smelled like an ashtray even tho it was non smoking. Carpet was dirty and sticky. Walls and doors were dirty. I walked to the nearby Dollar General for sanitizing wipes to clean the bathroom and all surfaces I was going to use plus doorknobs and light switches. Refrigerator and microwave had food splatter in them. No hot water in the morning to take a shower. Bath mat was dirty.

I can only compare this to pictures I've seen of low class welfare rooms. Paint peeling, furniture cracked and chipped, broken lamps, burn holes in the bedspread, flat pillows etc. The only decent thing in this room was the TV. It is close to restaurants and town but there is just no need to do this. We would have left but there are no refunds. $159 because of nearby graduations. What a rip off.

We asked for a non smoking and he assured us it was. The room stunk so bad! The window was busted out(probably becouse the last people couldn't stand the smell!). The ac window unit was built into the back wall and didn't have a cover. We stopped in the middle of the night and thought we had no other options. The shower curtain was covered in mold. In the daylight we discovered the paint was pealing and the curtains were barely hanging over the windows. We paid for 4 ppl and they would only give us 2 towels. Just aweful all the way around! I wouldn't even reccomend this dump to my worst enemy!

First, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! We left after the first 10 min. Smelled like mold. The style was not modern and very ugly. The reason we stayed the first 10 min was to go to the bathroom. The staff was very rude and found out that we left over an hour later they were definitely not watching after us. All in all, if you need to go to the restroom don't pay $55 to go stay at a rest stop.

The hotel room was. Dirty. The sink drained slower than the mystery brown liquid dripped from the ceiling. The mold from the room still makes it hard for me to breathe. The staff was gruff and unapologetic. I'd find somewhere else.

The manager seemed friendly but then left after checking us in. The outside looked decent but was deceiving. The carpets were so dirty that we were afraid to take our shoes off. The tub had nothing to keep you from slipping. The bedding appeared clean. One of the rooms was under construction but we got conflicting stories on what happened. The location is good as you can walk to get something to eat. There were refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms but no coffee makers. The room was non smoking but smelled musty.

We booked this room at the last minute for the weekend of Virginia Tech graduation. The hotel we originally booked ended up being an hour away by car, even though it was advertised as being 23 miles (as the crow flies) from Blacksburg, so we cancelled that reservation and found a vacancy at this Budget Inn in Christiansburg. When we arrived we immediately knew why this hotel still had vacancies when everyone else was booked!

This was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in! Normally the room rate is $40 per night, but for graduation weekend they tripled the rate to $120 per night. It was an absolute ripoff. This is an old property that is in the process of being updated(?). The ground floor King room we got (supposedly the only room left when we booked, even though the sign out front said "Vacancy" the entire time we were there) had been freshly painted with the most garish bright blue on two walls and equally hideous bright green on the others. That was about the extent of the renovation.

The carpet was old and stained, the bedspread was dingy and the too-small sheet was streched tight over the king mattress, barely covering the top of the mattress allowing you to see the bare mattress sides without any mattress pad under the sheet. The cafe-style curtains were missing rings and coming down from the rods in some rooms that we could see from the parking lot. The tiny bathroom without any exhaust fan had a tub and stool, but the sink was outside the bathroom with the smallest oval immitation marble sink and no vanity top for putting any of your toiletries. You had to set your things on top of the mini fridge with microwave oven stacked on top on the other side of the room. The worst part is there was no closet or armoir to hang your clothes and no hangers. We had to buy our own hangers and hang our shirts and jackets on the curtain rod, after calling the office to borrow an iron (no ironing board either, so we ironed our clothes on the bed)!

I would definitely not recommed this hotel. You would be better off staying an hour away if you have to.
