I had another great stay at the Courtyard in Blacksburg for a weekend evening. The Courtyard staff and cleaning crew always keep the property looking great and feeling comfortable. Don't leave with a stop at the Bistro for the Black Cherry Old Fashioned. It was recommended to me and was a fantastic surprise. Looking forward to returning back this summer!!

No coffee station in the lobby area due to there being a Starbucks on site. There is a coffee maker in the room but limited on additives (no Stevia/Splenda, liquid creamer). Can't buy a bottle of beer after 10PM which is when the kitchen/bar closes even on the weekends. Other than those negatives, the hotel was clean and the staff was polite. The tv's have Netflix built in. The indoor pool had plenty of towels available. The exercise room is the typical hotel style but at least they had a water cooler to refill bottles.

I am a Platinum level member and I stayed at this Marriott Courtyard in May 2023 for graduation and for all the 2023 Virginia Tech home football games.
The hotel is clean, the food is delicious and everything is always set up perfectly. But- the true differentiator is the staff. They are the definition of 'exceptional customer service'. They are kind, asking if I need anything, always wishing me a great day and so helpful. Even better is that the general manager, Mr Norman, has a hands on approach to ensuring the hotel is consistently great (great leaders create great teams)
I don't ever consider staying anywhere else when I'm in Blacksburg since the customer service and other factors I need for a great stay are consistently great at this hotel.

This is an older Marriott Courtyard, when you first walk into the hotel lobby if looks fresh and newly remodeled. However the rooms are a different story, the room we were in definitely needed to be redone. Furniture was beat up in areas, bathroom was the worst, broken ties, mold in the shower (see pictures). Marriott needs to update this property!

Very nice hotel, big and bright open plan lobby/lounge. Spacious rooms (a big plus if you're travelling with family), clean, and full featured (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc.) The pool and workout room were neat and clean too.
The bar/bistro has food options, which is great as this hotel is on the outskirts and couple miles from restaurants. One caveat/clarification, the breakfast is not an included/free buffet, but a made to order healthy and tasty but notably pricey - particularly for a whole family, like an order of eggs for $11. The coffee is a Starbucks banner, but doesn't live up to the brand. Stick with the room coffeemaker.

We stayed here for eight nights to attend a family wedding nearby. Everything was excellent! From checking in to checking out we could find no faults. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, I needed to use the in house laundry and they were happy to priovide complimentary products and change notes for coins so I could use the machine. The room was kept spotless every day by housekeeping. The Bistro restaurant had a good selection of food for both breakfast and dinner and the staff very polite and helpful. I need to say many thanks to both Renee and Amy who helped make our time there special. Next time we visit the area we will definitely be back!

The staff were professional and helpful and the room was spacious and clean. We got into town a bit late, so we had to opt for take-out. The microwave and fridge in the room came in handy for heating and storing leftovers. The gym was a small room, but it had free weights and an elliptical and treadmill in good condition. We took advantage of the EV charging stations (think there were two) in the hotel parking lot to charge our car overnight.
My only issue is that the room was a bit worn down and the bathroom was particularly outdated. Still, we had a good night’s sleep and it served the purpose for a short stay.

This is the best hotel in Blacksburg. Not only is Tom great to deal with but everyone from check in to maid service is amazing. Everyone there is always willing to answer questions or help with anything we need. I continually pass on the Residence Inn and make sure I stay here because all of the experiences have been great. I highly recommend staying here when you’re in Blacksburg.

We had a fantastic recent stay at the Courtyard Blacksburg that was easy, relaxing, and comfortable! We were in town for a self guided college tour and asked the front desk for recommendations on where we should start, what we should see and where we should eat. All tremendously helpful. Our room was in great shape when we arrived and we finished up with a light enjoyable breakfast in the casual dining area prior to checking out. We are looking forward to staying again when we come back in a few months.

Look no further this is the hotel to stay at especially when visiting Vtech! We’ve stayed at a handful of other hotels since our child is a hokie and none of them compare. It’s clean, spacious, lobby is nice and festive but most of the staff goes above and beyond! On move in weekend they even let us keep a few items that couldn’t fit in our room, and a special employee I didn’t get their name moved their car so my husband could park and our 3rd stay 2 special employees - Taylor & LaRie went above and beyond to accommodate our request! Some of the hotels around here don’t have Netflix capability but this hotel does and they made sure it was properly working in our room! Super sweet and super helpful! I love this hotel! Can’t wait to come back over the next 4 years. Thank you courtyard Marriott!

The hotel doesn't provide a shuttle; however there is a bus stop right in front of our property. The bus runs every 30 minutes and will take you directly to Virginia Tech's campus.
